Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Manage the staff team to deliver the Nursery and Crèche services.
- Liaison with all relevant members of staff to ensure maximising the team’s opportunities for employment, personal and professional development and organisational engagement.
- Develop, monitor and review activities to ensure high standards of childcare and learning.
- Quality assure and develop and improve services to maintain and improve our Ofsted position.
- Attend budget planning with the finance team to ensure a full understanding of the budget; good budget management and a strong out-turn in line with the growth strategy.
- Keep appropriate records of all children and account for their social and individual developmental needs.
- Monitor and report against the delivery objectives of the service providing observation and feedback to Nursery and Crèche workers so that they can improve their own direct planning and delivery and qualifications.
- Provide data as required for reporting internally to your line manager and through the Trusts Governance, and externally.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in childcare at a minimum Level 4.
- Level 3 Safeguarding qualification
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing a Nursery with experience of all the relevant duties, monitoring, reporting and quality improvement.
- Experience of being the main contact for Ofsted.
- A track record of working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to develop successful partnerships, growth, and achieve joint success.
- Strong experience of planning ahead, scheduling, attention to detail and problem solving.
- Experience of managing staff and supporting their development.
- Experience of managing resources and budgets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience of writing reports.

The National Lottery funded Meddwl Ymlaen Mind Our Future project is led by The Venture on behalf of the North East Wales partnership. Overview of the Role
The Senior Youth Engagement Officer will lead the youth engagement and co production elements of the project. A key part of the role is to lead and facilitate the Young Leaders Advisory Board (YLAB), made up of 11 to 24 year olds who guide the direction of the project. The post holder will support their leadership development, confidence and decision making.
The role also includes developing a strategy to recruit and engage more young people, delivering a calendar of youth led events, and ensuring young voices shape all aspects of the project. We are looking for a Youth Worker to join our Youth Work team, working both on the Roundhouse Studios front desk as well as on our youth focused projects. The role will work across our 7 day provision, with the expectation of regular evening and weekend work, to provide the highest standards of service and support to young people using the Roundhouse Studios. This will include administrative and front facing duties. You will be responsible for supporting and encouraging a diverse range of young people (in particular those with multiple and complex needs) aged 11-25 to engage in opportunities at the Roundhouse and assist with pastoral support.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with experience of working alongside young people aged 11-25 years old in informal educational or youth work settings. Candidates should have knowledge and experience of safeguarding young people and be confident in speaking to young people effectively. Alongside this, we require someone that has experience in public facing/front desk roles with strong organisational and communication skills.

The Barnardo's Co-op Partnership is an exciting, innovative project where we are aiming to support over 1 million young people to have positive futures.
Sedgemoor for our Future is a service that has been co-designed by young people, for young people and is based on a ‘social kitchen'. The service facilitates regular spaces and opportunities where young people can come together to:
- Learn to cook healthy, nutritious food
- Eat together
- Have fun and play games
- Talk about and explore topics that are important to them
- Develop confidence, teamwork and new skills
The service runs two weekly group sessions:
Tuesdays in Highbridge 4.30pm – 6pm
Wednesdays in Bridgwater 4.30-6pm
Please note applicants need to be able to facilitate these sessions on these days.
There is also the opportunity to facilitate confidence and team building workshops for young people aged 10-25 years across different groups and spaces in Sedgemoor.
If you are:
- Confident and creative in engaging and working alongside young people aged between 10-25 years.
- Skilled in designing and facilitating inclusive groupwork sessions and workshops for young people.
- Able to provide emotional and practical support to young people, in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The role focuses on building positive and supportive relationships with women and their children, empowering them to work towards their goals through a strengths-based approach. This includes creating, implementing, and reviewing personalised support plans in collaboration with service users and external agencies, while also advocating on their behalf when needed. Key responsibilities involve assisting mothers with parenting skills, signposting them to appropriate services, and offering targeted support to families facing issues such as domestic abuse. Ensuring the safeguarding of children and maintaining confidentiality at all times are central to the role, alongside working within relevant policies and procedures.
Additionally, the position emphasises the importance of children's development and wellbeing by providing educational, recreational, and interactive play opportunities both during term time and holidays. Service users and children are encouraged to actively participate in shaping projects through consultations, feedback, and creative engagement. The role also involves promoting community involvement by networking, fundraising, and collaborating with statutory and voluntary organisations. Ultimately, the work contributes towards the five key outcome areas: being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic wellbeing.

Here's what the team will be looking for
This role is restricted to female applicants under Schedule 9 (1a) of the Equality Act 2010 due to the nature of the work.
It requires someone who can bring optimism, resilience, and a non-judgemental, anti-discriminatory approach when supporting women and children. A calm manner, empathy, and compassion are essential, particularly when working with service users who have experienced trauma or domestic abuse. In addition, the post holder must be skilled in partnership working with statutory, voluntary, and community agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for families. The role also requires flexibility to travel between service premises and to accompany clients when necessary. Success in this position relies on being able to manage responsibilities effectively within a structured and often pressured environment, while always keeping the wellbeing and empowerment of families at the centre of practice.
When will I be working
This is a part time role of 19.5 hours per week, you will be working between Monday and Friday and between the hours of 10am and 5.20pm

About the Role
As a Children and Young Persons Caseworker your responsibilities will include:
Directly or indirectly delivering support to children and young people who have been affected by crime. You will further develop and delivering innovative interventions to address the needs of children and young people who been affected by crime.
As a CYP caseworker you will
- Deliver support to young victims of crime using appropriate service guidance
- Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness
- Reduce the risk factors around the young people.

About You
Ideally, you will:
- have a proven track record of successfully delivering services for children and young people and successful youth engagement in a comparable role, however this is not essential as full training and support will be given
- have knowledge of safeguarding issues relating to children and young people
- have an understanding and knowledge and an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity
- knowledge of the current issues for children and young people affected by or experiencing crime, domestic abuse and relationship abuse
- understand confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of files in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
- have knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and VCOP, awareness of the impact of crime including witnesses attending court and giving evidence
