About Us
We are a new CIC podcast and media platform that provides a safe space for survivors of childhood sexual trauma within the Black British Caribbean community to tell their truth—and shame the devil. Through storytelling, cultural therapy, and partnership building, we aim to heal and empower.

We're now recruiting a Volunteer Outreach & Partnership Specialist to lead one of the most critical arms of our CIC.

Your Role

1. Guest Outreach & Curation (Primary):

• Lead strategy to find, vet, and schedule guests from the Black British Caribbean community who are ready to share lived experiences of childhood sexual trauma in a respectful, empowering, and supported environment.

• Manage the guest outreach pipeline via Airtable, Trello, or Notion.

• Liaise with our team to ensure a trauma-informed, mission-aligned guest journey.

2. Partnerships & Sponsorships:

• Identify and secure sponsorships and partnerships with charities, organisations, government bodies, and brands aligned with our values.

• Build and maintain a network of long-term collaborators in mental health, therapy, media, and advocacy.

• Align partnerships with growth, impact, and fundraising goals.

3. General Duties:

• Attend monthly in-person team meet-ups (Greater London).

• Collaborate with other CIC team members.

• Represent our values: knowledge of self, community love, and truth-telling.

Our mission is to empower youth, especially girls and women, by equipping them with the knowledge and opportunities to foster sustainable communities through extensive education, health, and technology-related initiatives. Girls are especially vulnerable due to early marriage, menstrual stigma, and limited educational access. The organization empowers young people to heal, lead, and drive change within their schools, families, and communities.

KIPAWA Dreams tackles mental health stigma, gender inequality, and youth marginalization through culturally rooted, community-driven solutions. Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Advisor (Volunteer).

Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)

KDI is seeking a mental health professional to enhance the technical quality of our Mental Health Awareness and Education Campaigns, as well as our Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training and youth-led support clubs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and guide MHFA training materials.
• Support the establishment of referral pathways and trauma-informed practices.
• Assist in the development of school-based psychosocial activities.
• Contribute to parent engagement and facilitate community dialogues.

Ideal Candidate:

• A background in mental health, such as psychology, counseling, or social work.
• A passion for community-based and youth-focused interventions.
• Familiarity with delivering mental health services in low-resource or rural settings.

Become an Independent Visitor to be matched one to one with a young person in a young offenders institution, in Lichfield . You will visit once a month to provide them a consistent, adult relationship which is independent from the institution and from social services. This is an opportunity for the young person to share their hobbies and interest and to talk about their worries and feelings if they are ready to do so.

We'll provide full training, all your expenses and ongoing support from dedicated staff.

This is an opportunity for you to build skills and knowledge within social care and make a real difference in a young person’s life.

We are seeking creative and committed Volunteer Fundraisers to help us grow our small charity.

This is a remote volunteer role ideal for someone looking to use their creative fundraising knowledge to make a meaningful impact.

Role Overview
As a Volunteer Fundraiser at Barefoot and Free, you will be reuired to come up with fun ideas to fundraise, be able to engage people to fundraise and encourage new supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute virtual and in-person fundraising events (eg raffles, quizzes, sponsored challenges)
• Liase with fundraisng volunteers (eg sponsored runners etc)
• Ensure events run smoothly by preparing, schedules, materials and plans. 
• Act as a main point of contact for invividual fundraisers and teams
• Regukar communication to offer encouragement and guidence.
• Procatively check they have everything they need (eg fundraisng pack, marketing materials) 
• Create.design a central fundraising tracker (eg excel or similar)

• Collaborate with the social media volunteers (if applicable) to amplify campaigns

About us: GT Scholars is a charitable social enterprise that tackles educational inequality by giving ambitious young people the support, skills and strategies they need to achieve aspirations. We run a wide range of programmes that help young people achieve their academic and career aspirations, particularly those from less-privileged backgrounds.

Do you live in Wales and want to gain valuable skills, have new experiences, and support vulnerable people?

We are offering 1 young person aged 18-25 the opportunity to volunteer for up to 11 months with the Portuguese Red Cross in Sanguedo, Portugal. Placements dates are planned to start as soon as possible for: August 2025 – July 2026 (subject to visas).

You will be supporting projects aimed at helping the local community and promoting youth involvement in social and environmental activities, which will give you the chance to explore the different kinds of social action that the Portuguese Red Cross undertake in Sanguedo. This is a great opportunity to get involved in these projects and find out what you are interested in. The main thing we want to see is your motivation for this placement!

Typical tasks may involve:

• Assisting the Social department: by supporting Social Centre activities such as assisting teachers with activities for children aged 3 to 5, befriending and developing activities for elderly service users and attending classes at the Senior University.
• Assisting the animal care department: liaising with different organisations involved in animal care (shelters, zoo and farm); assist in cleaning spaces and the animals, provide food and other necessities, as required.
• Supporting promotion and administration activities: the branch offers a wide range of the activities to the local community, and volunteers will take a lead in promoting these activities and volunteering overall to increase youth social participation. Volunteers will also assist with administrative tasks including sorting donations, and gifting or selling activities.

Please note that only young people based in Wales can apply for this role. Interviews will take place online with shortlisted candidates. 

We are keen to hear from individuals especially those who do not normally get the chance to volunteer overseas, who are passionate and motivated about working in the humanitarian sector and international volunteering but who also understand that these types of placements require adaptability and resilience.

Women’s Aid in Luton supports over 800 of society’s most vulnerable women and children each year, all of whom are fleeing abuse and violence. The charity offers refuge across five safe houses in Luton, a helpline, tailored support for families, and access to legal advice, mental health services, employment, and resettlement guidance. It also prioritises prevention and early intervention through education, working closely with schools to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

The Opportunity: Chair of Trustees
Women’s Aid in Luton is seeking a new Chair of Trustees to lead its Board and help shape the future of the organisation. This is a pivotal leadership role with significant influence over the strategic direction and governance of the charity. The incoming Chair will guide the Board in supporting the Executive Team to sustain and grow its essential services, ensuring women and children can rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.

The current Chair will conclude her term next year, and the charity is therefore inviting expressions of interest from those who are deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

• A strong understanding and commitment to the VAWG sector.

• Substantial non-executive experience.

• Knowledge of UK charity governance and experience of working with or serving on a Board of Trustees.

• A background in senior strategic leadership.

• Proven ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.

• Sensitivity and discretion when dealing with confidential matters involving staff and service users.

• A track record of successfully leading teams or groups in either a voluntary or professional context.

• Chairing experience, ideally at Board or committee level.

• Significant experience in motivating, managing, and developing people.

• Experience in shaping and evaluating strategic plans to maximise impact.

• Sound financial acumen, including an understanding of charity finance.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate the charity’s vision and inspire others.

Terms of Appointment
The initial term of office is three years, with the possibility of reappointment for one additional term, up to a maximum of six years.

Eligibility
In accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1), this role is open to female applicants only due to the nature of the services provided. All appointments are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
