This is a new role within St Luke’s for Clergy Wellbeing created to strengthen and embed high-quality clinical practice across our services. The Clinical Quality Learning Lead will support the continuous improvement and quality assurance of our talking therapy provision, enhancing safety, consistency, and a shared learning culture across our network of therapy providers. This will ensure that our grant-funded support continues to meet the highest standards of care for clergy and their families.
This role suits someone who can dedicate around one day a week to provide clinical quality oversight, support reflective learning and strengthen best practice.

We’re looking for a methodical and strategic Programme Manager (Award) to manage the end-to-end delivery of University Mental Health Charter (UMHC) Award and act as key spokesperson for the programme.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring that the Award upholds its standards and values, and continues to develop and scale, supporting positive change for staff and students at universities across the UK.
About the role
- Lead the delivery of the nationally-recognised accreditation for mental health in higher education: the University Mental Health Charter Award.
- The UMHC Award recognises universities that promote the mental health and wellbeing of their university communities and supports them to continually improve.
- You will own the end-to-end management of a complex, high-profile and impactful programme, balancing administrative excellence and strategic development.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the Award lifecycle, from onboarding universities, coordinating our network of assessors and managing the Award panel.
- Scale and continually improve the Award process, ensuring it remains rigorous, impactful and values-led.
- Act as key spokesperson and point of contact for universities and other stakeholders.
- Responsible for budget, risk and line management.

Purpose and responsibilities of the post
Reporting to the DARE UK Director, the Deputy Director is a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping and delivering the programme’s next phase of impact.
The post-holder will provide intellectual and operational leadership across the programme, translating strategic ambition into executable plans while ensuring delivery at pace and scale. They will work across research communities, funders, infrastructure providers, technology partners and senior stakeholders across UKRI and government to embed community voice into the design of a UK-wide secure data research ecosystem.
This is a high-profile role requiring visible sector leadership, strong partnership-building capability and confidence operating at Board and executive level. The Deputy Director will deputise for the Director as required and play a central role in positioning DARE UK nationally and internationally.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
· Co-develop and evolve the DARE UK strategy, roadmap and future phases in response to emerging opportunities, policy developments and sector needs.
· Shape the long-term vision for a federated UK sensitive data research ecosystem, including shared standards for governance, ethics, metadata and interoperability.
· Identify strategic partnerships and funding opportunities to secure programme sustainability beyond the current phase.
· Represent DARE UK at senior forums, influencing policy, research and infrastructure agendas.
Programme Delivery and Oversight
· Lead end-to-end delivery of the programme, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, commissioned work and measurable outcomes.
· Oversee commissioning, governance and performance management of programme activities and working groups.
· Ensure robust financial oversight, risk management and reporting in collaboration with HDR UK and UKRI partners.
· Maintain effective systems, governance structures and delivery frameworks across partner organisations.
Stakeholder and Community Leadership
· Build and sustain trusted relationships across UKRI councils, academia, government departments, devolved administrations, technical suppliers and public contributors.
· Convene and align diverse stakeholders to co-design standards, services and technical-social specifications.
· Lead strategic engagement and communications activity to secure sector-wide buy-in and adoption.
People and Organisational Leadership
· Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning programme management, communications, public involvement and engagement, and community engagement.
· Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with HDR UK values.
· Provide clarity, direction and stability in a complex and evolving landscape.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential
· Senior leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments spanning research, government, infrastructure and/or technology.
· Proven track record of delivering large-scale, strategically significant programmes in fast-paced and ambiguous contexts.
· Experience working with executive teams, Boards and senior stakeholders, demonstrating sound judgement and political awareness.
· Strong strategic thinking capability, with the ability to translate vision into structured delivery plans.
· Demonstrable experience influencing, negotiating and building consensus across diverse communities.
· Strong programme governance, risk management and financial oversight experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent programmes at national level.
· Effective line management experience, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.

The role
As a Trainer at Cruse Bereavement Support, you will play a key role in delivering and developing training for external organisations. You will equip employees, volunteers, and other stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to support bereaved individuals, including clients, employees, or community members.
You will deliver both scheduled and bespoke training sessions, adapting content to meet the needs of diverse audiences while maintaining alignment with Cruse’s values, safeguarding standards, and equality, diversity, and inclusion principles. The role includes supporting the development of new training content, digitisation of learning materials, and contributing to quality assurance processes including trainer observations and feedback review.
We are looking for a collaborative, self-motivated professional with experience in training or coaching adults, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload while promoting a positive learning environment. A passion for bereavement support and commitment to enabling others to provide compassionate care is essential.

A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that women are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. The post holder will support children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence and plan and provide stimulating, safe, and appropriate play opportunities.
Please note that post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
A driving license and access to a car is essential to the role.
