The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative and versatile finance business partner to join us at this time of growth. Reporting to Head of Finance, and working alongside other Finance Business Partners, you will be responsible for providing your financial expertise and support to our key stakeholders, playing an important part in enabling us to meet our ambitious strategy.
This is an exciting role in a supportive and well established finance team, giving you the opportunity to further develop the finance function and shape your role. You will bring strong communication, analytical and systems skills, as well as flexiblity and motivation to engage in cross organisational projects.

Main areas of responsibility
Business partnering:
- Provide a high-quality financial support to the nominated internal stakeholders. These may vary and will include some of the following: Food, Supply Chain & Logistics teams, Network Partner support, Operational centres (warehouses) and Support functions.
- Deliver monthly management accounts and KPI reporting for the nominated stakeholders. Monitor spend and provide financial insight and expertise to drive the delivery in line with FareShare’s strategic direction.
- Collaborate with the nominated internal stakeholders to develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
- Enhance financial reporting and analysis and develop KPI capabilities for the nominated stakeholders.
- Coach budget holders on finance systems and processes to develop effective budget management and controls.
- Provide cover for other Finance Business Partners when required, mainly around month end processes and management account reporting.
Financial accounting:
- Involvement in month end processes: produce month end journals, conduct balance sheet reconciliations for the nominated business centres.
- Support with the development and monitoring compliance of the financial policies and processes and controls.
- Oversee financial aspects of grants, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting to funders.
People and / or project management:
- Provide financial guidance and support to the finance transactional team.
- Line manage (or dotted line management responsibilities, dependant on experience) the finance offices in the operational centres (warehouses).
- Lead on process improvements in the business areas of responsibility.
- Provide any other support as and when required.
- Some travel to the operational centres and network partners, across the UK, will be required.
Person Specification
Skills, experience and abilities
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA fully qualified or equivalent experience
- Business partnering experience, preferably in a similar size organisation and business model. Experience in the commercial Supply Chain & Logistics industry will be of advantage.
- A good track record in managing month end processes
- Strong financial accounting background
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using a range of accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt a style to various stakeholders
- Ability to build effective relationships across teams, ensuring staff are supported, motivated and challenged to achieve objectives
- Line management experience will be of advantage
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to adapt and influence change
- An understanding of either the food industry and/or the logistics industry would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
· Develop a thorough understanding of the Foundation and the business area where you are providing support in order to provide a full people partnering service.

· Take on/lead any other projects as requested by the Head of People & Culture or Chief People Officer

The LSO is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Partnerships Executive (New Business) to lead on identifying and engaging with a new portfolio of prospective corporate supporters, in liaison with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and Director of Development to develop new sponsorship opportunities, taking into account current corporate priorities and sector trends. This is an exciting time to join the team, as we develop our engagement opportunities and memberships to ensure they remain current and attractive in the new climate.
This role is initially on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months, with the potential to extend.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifying and engaging a new portfolio of prospective corporate supporters
- Research and identify possible corporate partners for the LSO, preparing updates to discuss with the wider LSO Corporate Development team
- Lead on initial contact with cold prospects, securing introductory meetings for the LSO, preparing briefings and attending meetings with a colleague from the Development team
- Identify possible corporate supporters for particular areas of the LSO’s work, including Barbican concerts, international tours, accessible ticket schemes, education and community projects, major fundraising galas, as well as broader initiatives such as improving sustainability and fulfilling the LSO’s DEI plan
- Utilise LSO concerts at the Barbican and other LSO events to attract new prospects, ensuring that all leads are thoroughly progressed
- Work within the Corporate Development team to develop ongoing cultivation plans for the most promising contacts and prepare compelling proposals as needed, and maintain prospect planning within a wider corporate fundraising strategy
- Work with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop new opportunities for support, and build a strong prospect pipeline, taking into account current sponsorship and corporate support trends
- Keep abreast of trends in corporate partnerships in the arts and the broader charity sector to ensure the LSO continues to offer competitive packages
We are looking for someone with experience in:
- Identifying and connecting with prospective corporate partners, either in the charity or commercial sector (at least two years experience)
- Writing compelling proposals in response to a business need or objectives
- Pitching and securing mutually beneficial partnerships with potential partners

The Director of Finance Business Partnering (Operations) is a critical role within the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance division that will lead, develop and deliver high quality finance business partnering and decision support to all the central services of the university, including providing financial planning, reporting and insight across revenue and capital funded activity.
You will support the senior Director of the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance function in development and improvement projects. What you’ll be doing
- Managing incoming media enquiries, ensuring journalists receive a prompt and efficient response and briefing spokespeople to help turn incoming enquiries into opportunities to proactively communicate key messages.

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated person with experience of low carbon retrofit, asset management, and business development to join Repowering London’s growing team. You will be a core part of our mission to tackle climate change and move towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
This will be a high-profile role within the executive team of a nationally significant social enterprise that is at the leading edge of urban community energy, with significant ambitions for scale and impact. You will work alongside the Executive Team with shared responsibility for setting and realising the organisation’s goals, strategic priorities, and business plan.
Community Retrofit is a place-based approach to decarbonisation and community development, that creates low-carbon infrastructure, which is technically integrated at a local level, and provides direct benefits to local communities, for example through community ownership, affordable energy supply, or high-quality jobs.
You will be responsible for leading the Community Retrofit team. The team currently encompasses seven staff working across domestic and non-domestic:

Rooftop solar is the most established asset type deployed by Repowering, with installations dating to 2013. Retrofit assessment and coordination services started in 2023, and communal heat network investments are expected in 2025.
You will be responsible for ensuring high quality installations of low carbon assets that perform as forecast.
You will lead the development of improvements to our processes for evaluating potential sites and deploying and maintaining low carbon assets and retrofit measures.
The role will require ongoing refinement of Repowering’s community retrofit offer to community groups, building owners and public bodies such as Local Authorities, and support the growth of long-term partnerships with our stakeholders, including supply chain partners.
In particular, working with the Repowering executive team you will support the incubation of a suite of a finance offers that allow a wider range of households, businesses and communities to participate in community retrofit.
You will also support Repowering’s work to increase employment opportunities for young people in the low carbon sector, through how we structure our procurement for installations and by the training programmes we run in-house and with partners.
The Community Retrofit Team is one of Repowering’s four key teams, which include Communities, Energy Supply, and Core Operations. - Support annual budgeting and planning in line with the fundraising team’s strategic objectives. Report on any variances of income against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
- Where necessary, work with the wider teams at FareShare and with our regional centre partners to deliver greater partner impact.

Essential
- Experience of supporting or managing fundraising relationships
- Experience of maximising and growing fundraising relationships/opportunities
- Experience of soliciting income from corporate partners/donors and evidence of successfully achieving five figure income targets
- Commercial awareness with knowledge of various corporate sectors and of corporate fundraising
- Ability to communicate effectively and motivate partners with excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to advise, influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a range of projects with competing deadlines
- Experience identifying new opportunities and establishing new corporate fundraising relationships
- Ability to use initiative, prioritise and demonstrate a problem-solving approach
Desirable
- Experience of building strong relationships with key senior stakeholders
- Understanding of the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice, data protection and other relevant legislation, guidance and good practice
- Experience working on a fundraising CRM system

About the RSN
The RSN was established in 1872 at a small single site in London to revive and teach the art of hand embroidery. Since their humble beginnings, they have expanded their activities and extended their reach worldwide gaining an international reputation for the knowledge, expertise and skills of their tutors and the excellence of work in their professional studio.
Based at Hampton Court Palace, in south-west London, the RSN offers an education programme for everyone; from beginners through to those pursuing hand embroidery as a professional career, and it shares its knowledge, skills and heritage through talks, tours exhibitions and online resources.
About the role
The RSN is looking for a Chief Executive to help them on their transformational journey to grow, develop and extend the reach and impact of their work. They are committed to ongoing improvement and embracing innovation; the new CE must share a passion for their mission and determination to evolve their operations helping to develop existing relationships and seek out new opportunities for future growth.
The RSN seek a leader with a keen eye to the horizon to actively promote the RSN’s educational and commercial activity, raising its profile amongst national and international communities. Demonstrating strategic acuity, they will lead on the direction of the organisation, monitoring and implementing business plans and strategies, overseeing and interrogating in mitigating risk and ensuring financial sustainability.

The next Chief Executive will act as an ambassador for the organisation, developing external plans and communications to capitalise on achievements, raise profile and reach new audiences.
They will have a proven track record as an exemplary people manager, team builder and visionary leader. Empowering in their approach to leadership, and coaching in their managerial style, they will positively impact on the existing passionate and loyal staff and tutor network, developing an ethos for the RSN, and leading and embodying the values of a positive and inclusive culture, where everyone feels valued and respected.
A self-starter and decision maker with drive and sound judgement and with a pragmatic and resilient outlook, the new CE will have the ability to maintain oversight and control of a multi-faceted operation and evaluate and interrogate financial/budgetary performance.
With experience in or understanding of fundraising principles and of generating diverse income streams, this role requires a leader with experience in business development, charity management, and strategic planning. Possessing a blend of commercial acumen, strategic vision, and a passion for the organisation's mission, the new CE may have prior experience in the art, culture or heritage sector, but more importantly will believe in the RSN’s mission and appreciate its relevance today.
