We're looking for a Volunteer Coordinator who's good with people and good at organising them - someone who can recruit, train and keep in touch with the volunteers who make FFLAG's support possible.

Are you someone who enjoys building relationships and helping people do their best work? This role is about making sure FFLAG's volunteers - most of them parents of LGBT+ children themselves - feel properly recruited, trained and supported.

About FFLAG

FFLAG is a national voluntary organisation and registered charity and is the UK's longest established parent support charity in the LGBT+ sector. Our history began in the grassroots parent helplines of the 1960s, grew through the 1980's and 90's as we supported anxious parents and fought against the discrimination of Section 28, becoming a formally registered charity in 2000.

Our work sounds simple, but it is life changing. We help parents and families understand, accept and support their lesbian, gay, bisexual, non-binary and transgender family members with love and pride.

We offer a range of support options spanning 1-2-1 online and helpline support services to a UK-wide monthly group Zoom meeting and face to face local groups. We also have an extensive collection of online resources and guides. We attend as many Pride events as we can and our work supports thousands of people every year. This support is provided by an active base of FFLAG volunteers who are parents of LGBT+ children themselves, supported by other volunteers and allies.

What this job is all about

As Volunteer Coordinator, you'll make sure FFLAG's volunteers are properly recruited, trained and supported, so they can continue doing this work well. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:

• Identify what volunteers FFLAG needs, then recruit, induct and train them, including DBS checks and references

• Maintain training, the volunteer handbook and the Code of Conduct up to date

• Maintain regular contact with volunteers, so they stay engaged, safe and supported

• Act as FFLAG's Safeguarding Lead, providing regular supervision to support volunteers

• Keep accurate records, liaise with Trustees, and report on volunteer activity to the Board

• Be a member of the Services and Support Committee

• Provide support to the Operations Manager with events, as required

What are the skills and attributes you will need?

This role needs someone who's organised, approachable, and motivated by helping people do well - but it also needs real, hands-on experience of volunteer coordination from day one, since it's a small, part-time role with no one else to lean on for this work. We're specifically looking for candidates who can point to evidence of previous experience in:

• Recruiting, training and supporting volunteers in a paid or voluntary role

• Keeping volunteers engaged and retained over time

• Handling safeguarding matters sensitively and appropriately

• Working independently and comfortably in a remote-working setup

• A genuine interest in equality, diversity, and the LGBT+ community

Please note: this role isn't suitable as a first step into volunteer management - we're looking for candidates who already have relevant, demonstrable experience in this area.

Consultant opportunity: developing our long-term vision and strategy

Now in its 75th anniversary year, World Physiotherapy is seeking an experienced consultant(s) to co-ordinate the development of its Physio 2040 long-term aspirational vision and a five-year strategic plan (2027-32) that operationalises it.

This is a two-part but interlinked assignment.  Working closely with World Physiotherapy’s member organisations, global leadership, key stakeholders and staff, the successful consultant(s) will deliver an inclusive, evidence-based horizon-scanning and strategy development process, ensuring that our 2040 vision statement and strategic plan are completed ahead of the World Physiotherapy Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico in May 2027.

We are looking for a consultant or team of consultants who can:

• Coordinate and deliver the agreed vision and strategy development process, managing timelines, governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery milestones to ensure that both are completed on time and within budget.
• Facilitate workshops and engagement activities, develop the new strategic framework, support the approval process and help translate our new strategy into organisational priorities and work plans with appropriate reporting, monitoring, evaluation and learning embedded.

Post Title: Finance Officer

Summary

The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day finance of Rainbow Haven. Tasks include managing the day-to-day finance system and records; producing regular and accurate financial reports.

The postholder will work closely with, and report to, the Chief Executive Officer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Financial support

1. Production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.

2. Prepare rolling monthly cash flow reports.

3. Manage the organisations different funding streams.

4. Support the payroll process as necessary.

5. Work with the CEO to create finance reports for funders and donors.

6. Work with the CEO to create reports and present financial records to external auditors, the finance committee and TEMCA Board as required.

7. Manage and reconcile bank accounts.

8. Raise and pursue payments of invoices related to income as required.

9. Balance Sheet reconciliation work.

10. Maintaining accurate petty cash, supplier invoices and online payments via the QuickBooks online system.

11. Any other ad hoc duties as required.

General

1. Be an effective member of the team, helping to ensure the smooth running of the centre and its services.

2. Promote the welcoming and friendly ethos of Rainbow Haven at the drop-in sessions and with partner agencies. 

3. Maintain confidentiality regarding finance and client’s information at all times.

3. Deal with internal and external contacts by managing the info email.

4. Maintain Rainbow Haven’s IT systems, develop new systems that support the work of the organisation, and arrange for IT equipment to be maintained and repaired as needed.

5. Oversee Rainbow Haven’s email and Office 365 systems, working with our IT contractors to ensure our systems are fit for purpose.

6. Work within the organisation’s policies and procedures, and ensure all office and administration work is line with these.

7. Any other ad hoc admin duties as required.

About the candidate

1. Experience using QuickBooks online accounting system is desirable.
2. Experience in non-profit finance is preferable.
3. Confident IT skills, including advanced Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
4. Flexible and adaptable, with an ability to work to deadlines.
5. Highly analytical with excellent attention to details.
6. A collaborative team player, able to work effectively across functions.
7. Excellent English, strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.

About Rainbow Haven

Rainbow Haven is based in Gorton, Manchester. We are a community service for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants needing support. We have a weekly open-access advice drop-in session, with follow-on appointments.  At our drop-in sessions we welcome people to our centre and offer advice and information, hot lunches and social/well-being activities.  We offer a range of other well-being, educational and social activities, including classes in digital skills and ESOL and other targeted support to help people into further education or employment; and opportunities for particularly isolated groups such as new mothers, to connect with each other and with relevant professional services. 

Our service users come from many different countries and speak many languages.

We receive funding from a wide range of charitable foundations, from local authorities and through partnerships with other local charities in the sector. 

Rainbow Haven is a project of The East Manchester Community Association (registered charity 1131060).

Our friendly staff team has 10 permanent members.  We also offer short-term ‘Apprentice’ placements so that people new to the country can have a first experience of working in the UK. The Foundation for Jewish Heritage is seeking to engage an experienced Learning and Engagement Consultant to support their project Preserving Jewish Heritage, Promoting the Hidden Jewish Story in the year-long Development Phase of its project and for the first six months (of a five-year programme) of the Delivery Phase of the project. The Consultant will support and advise the Synagogues in this first pilot on activities/outreach and education, ultimately creating a framework for future use as a core part of this programme. The role will report to the Project Development Officer.  The Project Development Officer is currently being recruited and will be responsible for the set up and day to day running of the project.

The Foundation’s work to date has demonstrated a significant gap in provision for historic synagogues. There is a clear need for a more defined and comprehensive support function for the UK synagogues sector: one that offers a professional, accessible and user-friendly service; guides and empowers synagogue communities; helps ensure synagogue buildings are well maintained, resilient and future-proofed, including in response to the climate emergency; and supports synagogues to engage more effectively with wider society. This project aims to address that gap.

About this job

This part-time, fixed-term role (21 hours per week) will coordinate our Breathing Space project in Wales until March 2029. The project enables unpaid carers supporting people with MS and other neurological conditions to take short breaks.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Project Coordinator who enjoys delivering fixed-term funded projects, working directly with the people we support and our volunteers. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to achieve project objectives are essential.

You will work closely with unpaid carers, people affected by MS and other neurological conditions, key external partners, the Service and Support Team, the Director for Wales and teams across the MS Society. Focused on outcomes and tangible results, you will build strong stakeholder partnerships and represent the MS Society at meetings and events promoting the project to unpaid carers.

The role can be based anywhere in Wales, but regular travel across Wales is expected.

Welsh language skills are desirable

CAHN is seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Partnerships & Membership Officer to help grow our membership, strengthen partnerships and increase engagement with organisations that share our commitment to health equity.

You will build and maintain relationships with corporate, academic, community, faith and delivery partners, support membership applications and renewals, coordinate outreach and maintain accurate partnership and membership records.

You will also support partnership engagement across CAHN’s programmes, campaigns and flagship events, coordinating stakeholder communications, invitations, follow-up actions and other activities that strengthen our relationships.

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, proactive and an excellent communicator, with the ability to build trust, manage multiple priorities and turn relationships into meaningful opportunities.
