About Citadel 

 
Community Connectors forms part of the Citadel programme. Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them. 

About you 

We are looking for an outgoing, confident and skilled communicator, comfortable with building relationships, including for support, influencing people, and with public speaking. You will be a self-motivated, committed person with experience of working and/or volunteering in the homelessness, housing or voluntary and community sectors.

The key responsibilities we entrust you with

Project support

• Contribute to outreach to project stakeholders, Community Members, partners & event attendees, answering and directing queries and scheduling appointments and virtual/ in-person meetings

Essential attributes, skills & knowledge

We are all expected to be in the office (SE1 2QN) 4 days a month (pro-rata for part time colleagues) to work with and alongside colleagues in our immediate team and beyond to build connections and strong working relationships. We are looking for a Grants Coordinator (Applications) to join our Grants and Programmes team, a role which is key to ensuring the smooth running of our grant application processes and making sure funding is delivered efficiently, fairly, and in line with our mission. 

In this role, you will lead on the development and implementation of the Foundation’s processes for encouraging and receiving grant applications, managing the review process, and processing grant awards. You will be responsible for the planning and coordination of grant application rounds across multiple funding programmes and be the first point of contact for applicants and manage the peer review process. You’ll also play a vital role in maintaining and improving grant management system (managed within Salesforce) and contribute to the design and delivery of an inclusive and accessible application processes. 

We are looking for someone with excellent administrative and project coordination skills, strong communication and liaising abilities, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Experience using Salesforce or working in a grant-making environment is highly desirable, but we welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds who are ready to learn and grow in the role.

Main purpose of the role:
The Learning and Development Coordinator is key to setting and maintaining the strategic direction for the people and culture team, as part of the learning and development function in L'Arche. This role provides direction and support to L'Arche Communities in the UK, focusing on learning and development in service of the Mission, and our national and regulatory requirements. 

The Learning and Development Coordinator provides line management to the National Learning and Development team, supporting and overseeing the coordination of key areas of learning.

In close partnership with national and local learning and development structures, they will ensure the implementation of objectives identified in the national and local community's learning and development strategic priorities.
 
Key essential criteria:

• Proven experience of developing and delivering learning and development plans aligned to L'Arche's needs and regulatory requirements;
• Experience of line management, including coaching, support, and performance management of employees and volunteers;
• Strong understanding of learning pathways, skills frameworks, and evaluation of impact; 
• Knowledge of mandatory and regulatory training requirements, including safeguarding;
• Experience of using or managing a Learning Management System (LMS); 
• Experience in a learning and development role, ideally within a charity, social care or health organisation;

Programme Coordinator

Full time, 18 month contract with 6 months’ probation.

This role will work at the heart of NEF’s major programmes, supporting the team to turn bold ideas, robust research and community power into real-world change to build a new economy that works for people and planet.

The role will primarily support the delivery of NEF’s major programmes including Homes for Us and Reclaiming our Regional Economies (RORE). Homes for Us is an alliance made up of grassroots groups, tenants unions and charities. It enables different parts of the housing movement to campaign and work together. Similarly, RORE works with leading new economy organistations, local communities and regional and local authorities to transform regional economies.

In supporting these programmes you would be helping communities and social movements to win lasting and systemic change. 

You will work closely with programme managers, organisers, grassroots movements, external partners and stakeholders to help ensure programmes deliver to time, task and budget. It is a varied role where you’ll switch between a wide range of context and tasks, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Impact and Performance.
