Supporter Relations Executive
The Supporter Relations and Fundraising Operations team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is a key point of contact in the charity for supporters and members of the public and ensures the highest standards in operational processes and compliance, in order to ensure a first-class supporter experience.
The Supporter Relations Executive will be responsible for delivering supporter facing engagement activities ensuring delivery of an excellent experience for every contact, recognise opportunities to increase supporter loyalty, and generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. This role primarily works within the Supporter Relations sub- team alongside other Executives. To ensure appropriate resourcing across the wider team and maintain SLAs, the role will also carry out donation processing and other operational tasks relating to supporter activities, where required.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Enquiry Management
· Provide exceptional supporter care, ensuring every supporter and member of the public enjoys an outstanding experience when engaging with the charity, in all communications: inbound telephone calls, emails, social media messages and enquiries by post.
· Respond to a wide range of enquiries including marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials, within a timely and professional manner.
· Receive and respond to feedback and complaints from members of the public and supporters, as the first point of contact in the team, escalating where required.
· Ensure the integrity of the CRM database, Salesforce, by amending supporter records accurately, including coding of and processing donations.
· Promote fundraising, engagement and retention opportunities when communicating with supporters, using a range of initiatives to explain the positive impact of their donations in contributing to the charity mission, ‘for a cure’.
· Ensure formal guidelines and best practice are adhered to in relation to Direct Debits, Gift Aid, FR codes of Fundraising Practice, Gambling Commission, and Data Protection Act.
Supporter Stewardship:
· Engage in outbound telephone calls and written communications to increase the value of, or to retain supporters; this will include thanking, stewardship activity, obtaining Gift Aid declarations and vulnerability checks.
· Support the Fundraising Relationship team to manage accounts specific to their regions, to ensure excellent supporter stewardship.
· Effectively and consistently seek opportunities to build networks among our fundraising community, ensuring these are directed to appropriate fundraising teams.
· Seek opportunities for repeat fundraising, by identifying opportunities and engaging with supporters as part of our re-engagement process.
· Manage the supporter follow‑up process to ensure funds are received promptly and accurately.
· Engage supporters in the best practice in ‘in aid of’ fundraising policies and deliver promotion of this opportunity.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Experience of working in a customer facing role.
· Experience of handling queries and complaints.
· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases.
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
· Confident and engaging telephone manner.
· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
· A professional and hard-working team player with a positive and collaborative work ethic.

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

The Senior Supporter Engagement Manager will lead the strategic development of personalised, data‑driven supporter experiences that deepen engagement and maximise long‑term value. This role oversees the design and optimisation of multi‑channel supporter journeys, with a key focus on the creation and delivery of the email, SMS and What’s App communications, as well as our loyalty‑focused communications such as Cure Magazine, supporter newsletters and seasonal loyalty comm such as Christmas Cards. You’ll be a resident expert in marketing personalisation and data automation through martech tools.
Acting as the organisation’s expert in supporter experience design, the postholder ensures that every interaction — from the point that a supporter hits our database to long‑term stewardship — is timely, relevant, and insight‑led. Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Journey Development & Design
· Lead the end‑to‑end design of supporter journeys working collaboratively across all the organisation, taking an audience led approach in achieving our income, engagement and influence objectives, joining the dots and identifying opportunities for cross sell, upsell and integration of offers throughout a supporter's relationship with us.
· Oversea the mapping and optimisation of lifecycle journeys, ensuring they are insight‑driven, segmented, and aligned with organisational goals towards a cure.
Responsible for ensuring your teams are expert in our martech, and use testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate), data and performance insights to optimise journeys performance.
· Lead for automation of journeys within our martech, balancing efficiencies on resource with excellent supporter experiences.
· Lead for data, compliance and technical troubleshooting.
Data Selections & Audience Targeting
· Responsible for making audience targeting decisions ensuring accurate, timely, and insight‑led targeting for all fundraising and engagement activity.
· Working collaboratively with the BI team to ensure the development and application of data modelling and propensity models to predict supporter behaviour models that support tailored communications and efficient campaign delivery.
· Work closely with Data and Analytics teams to maintain data quality and optimise selection processes, and work with insight and BI to translate performance outputs into actionable recommendations for optimising our supporter journey performance.
· Ensure robust documentation, governance, and continuous improvement of data targeting and selection workflows
· Work collaboratively with the digital analytics team to ensure a strong connection between web and paid digital activity to avoid siloes across the stages of a supporter's experience with ARUK.
Supporter Loyalty & Stewardship Communications
· Lead the creation of loyalty‑focused communications that build long‑term relationships and increase lifetime value and deliver on our supporter experience principles – including communications such as Cure Magazine and E-newsletter.
· Work collaborative with Senior Supporter Relations Manager to develop stewardship frameworks that recognise and thank supporters at key moments – including the coordination of an ARUK approach supporter Christmas and Seasonal greetings.
· Ensure collaboration within these organisational supporter loyalty communications is effective leading for RACI and levels of approval.
· Lead for your team adhering to GDPR-aligned audience management and safe data activation.
Leadership & Collaboration
· Manage and develop a multi‑disciplinary team across your key responsibilities, fostering a culture of audience led, testing, continuous improvement and joined up thinking, planning and delivery.
· Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across fundraising, digital, brand, data, insight, info services, policy and campaigning, and research teams to ensure alignment and shared priorities.
· Responsible for keeping up to date on latest thinking, tools and technology for delivering effective Supporter Experiences, working closely with our Salesforce Technical Product Owner. And represent the charity in conferences, networking and influencing within the sector.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Extensive experience in supporter or customer journey design, CRM‑driven marketing personalisation and data automation
· Strong understanding of email marketing and supporter journey platforms and infrastructure, automation tools, and CRM systems.
· Familiarity of audience targeting segmentation and data selections.
· Familiarity with propensity modelling, predictive analytics, or working alongside data science teams.
· Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, cross‑functional projects.
· Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate insight into action.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
· Demonstrable experience of leading supporter engagement programmes across multi-channel campaigns and activity.

To ensure the panel reflects AvMA’s values and that where possible the panel is managed in line with our strategic plan.

To manage and oversee the operation of the specialist AvMA clinical negligence panel to include ensuring the qualifying requirements for panel applicants are relevant and up to date and reflect any important medical and legal developments.

The assessment of panel applications and interviewing of Applicants. Convening meetings of the panel committee, drafting agendas for those meetings and identifying issues to be discussed.

Identify ways for the AvMA panel application process to become more streamlined, efficient and supportive of lawyers making panel applications. To develop the process to ensure it is fit for purpose, relevant and continues to meet the needs of the public.

Ensuring the AvMA database of panel membership and special interests is kept up to date. Giving informal advice to solicitors enquiring about panel membership requirements, liaising and meeting with firms as required.

Travelling and attending key networking events, including AvMA’s three-day (2 overnight stays) annual conference and AvMA annual panel meeting (usually held end Nov, beginning December), engaging with potential AvMA panel applicants, promoting the benefits of accreditation and the junior scheme (Certificates Competence Scheme (CCS)), keeping up to date with medical and legal developments. Speaking at panel meetings and generally to promote the panel.

Working with the conference department to identify relevant topics for panel meetings and conference events.

To improve on the current re-accreditation process to make it more streamlined and user friendly for applicants.

To ensure relevant data from panel applications is captured on the CRM. Regular analysis of panel data, findings shared with AvMA senior leadership team and more widely where appropriate.

To pursue AvMA’s EDI strategy by considering ways in which the panel can be developed to ensure panel members are as ethnically diverse as possible.

To liaise with AvMA’s conference department to advise on any training which may be required to strengthen AvMA panel members knowledge and information base.

To work with the Director Medico Legal services in assessing applications for Certificate of Competence Scheme (CCS) for juniors. To update and work on the Certificates Competence Scheme including organising applicant feedback to ensure this scheme continues to be fit for purpose. To inform and work with panel applicant mentors in strengthening the scheme.

To deliver on administrative requirements such as quarterly reports for trustees, working with AvMA’s Service Delivery Quality and Outreach Committee (SDQOC) as required to update on continued improvement of AvMA Panel Accreditation Scheme.

Dealing with queries raised by AvMA Panel applicants and/or juniors who may have had their applications rejected.

Ensuring AvMA panel template letters and documents are updated

From time to time speaking publicly about requirements for AvMA panel membership, common pitfalls and how to overcome them as well as other matters relating to panel.

To consider client complaints about panel members to determine whether the threshold for disciplinary action under AvMA’s Panel procedures is met.

To manage disciplinary procedure for AvMA Panel members, identify and liaise with adjudicators, prepare documentation, set up the hearing.

To manage appeals against rejection of an application for accreditation/reaccreditation, liaise with adjudicators.

To keep on top of any government, regulatory or other policy changes which may affect the way in which patients can access justice, recover damages and seek redress for adverse clinical outcomes, as well as any improvements or impediments to lawyers undertaking this work.

To develop and grow the AvMA panel accreditation and Certificates Competence scheme membership; to identify cost efficiencies and maximum engagement with AvMA accredited panel solicitors.

Any other duties associated with the role.
2. Skills and Experience
Administration of the AvMA Panel
The bulk of the administration and management tasks do not require specialist skills; however, assistance is provided by the PA to the CEO when required.
AvMA has a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) driven computer system throughout the organisation, the introduction has been phased and the applicant should be confident enough with sufficient IT skills to onboard the new system. The CRM works with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a data driven software solution which is intended to manage, track and store information. AvMA considers IT to be an ongoing commitment and the new panel accreditation manager should be willing to consider ways in which AvMA can maximise the impact of the CRM to improve services and data collection on key issues identified from panel related activities.
Tasks such as updating and preparing new panel application documents and report forms will require medical and legal input, the panel application interview process will involve discussions about topical medico legal issues and for this reason the post would suit someone who has a legal background, ideally qualified as a solicitor or barrister, preferably with clinical negligence accreditation. A a medical background would be helpful.
Assessment of new applications, interviews and dealing with correspondence
The Panel Accreditation Manager is primarily responsible for the assessment of new panel accreditation applications.
The role of Panel Accreditation Manager would suit someone who has practised as a claimant clinical negligence lawyer who is looking to draw on their expertise and experience in a new role.The successful applicant should be confident in assessing former peers and colleagues in a fair and impartial way.
The nature of this work is such that the Panel Accreditation Manager can come into possession of sensitive information, discretion and respecting confidentiality are key qualities for this role.
Reaccreditations
Reaccreditation assessments are done internally by the Panel Accreditation Manager, occasionally assistance can be provided by members of the internal panel assessment team.
AvMA aims to make reaccreditations more straightforward for practitioners and the new appointee will be expected to liaise with the profession to understand where they consider the biggest hurdles to reaccreditation lie and to consider how these can be overcome without compromising standards.
AvMA receives a minimum of 15 applications for reaccreditation per annum, however numbers are usually considerably higher, up to 30 per annum.It is thought that the reaccreditation process could be designed to be more streamlined and user friendly for both the applicant and in house.
Other AvMA Panel assessments
In addition to assessing AvMA panel applications and reaccreditations the Panel Accreditation Manager will need to assess applications from accredited panel members who have changed firms.
Change of firm applications tend to be straightforward if the applicant has been on the panel for some time and is going to a firm where there is another AvMA panel member but the process is more in depth for those going to a firm which does not have another AvMA panel member. The Panel Application Manager needs to be confident that the new firm can meet the minimum standards and supervision requirements required of a first time panel application.
There are about 5 applications for changes of firm rising to a maximum of 10 per annum.
Interim Reviews
From time to time first time applicants may demonstrate that they largely meet the core criteria for AvMA Panel membership but there may be some areas that require improvement.In those cases, AvMA can award the applicant AvMA panel status subject to a review sometime later.The Panel Accreditation Manager is responsible for following up that review and examining progress made.The review is an opportunity to identify if the applicant has succeeded in strengthening the areas of weakness identified.If they have not, they risk losing their AvMA panel status entirely.
There are about 3 interim reviews per annum, currently not exceeding 6.
3. Other

About us
Community Rail Network is a national not-for-profit organisation, which is in the process of applying for charitable status, supporting a growing ‘community rail’ movement, which helps communities get the most from their railways, promotes sustainable and inclusive travel, coordinates volunteering and place-making, and brings people together.
Community rail is made up of 77 community-based organisations, and around 1,300 station volunteer groups and other community-led initiatives around Britain. Their activities range from creative projects for young people, to advising train operators on service improvements, to building travel confidence among marginalised groups, to biodiversity projects at stations, to promoting greener tourism by rail.

About this role, and your main responsibilities
Our current CEO is moving on after nine years in role, leaving the organisation, team and wider movement in a strong and empowered position to deliver on the next phase of our development.
Your opportunity is to lead the organisation, and to deliver on our new five-year strategy setting an ambitious course for the future during a period of major transformation for our railways and the wider transport system. You will ensure that we are:
- clear in our identity and our independence, and seen as thought leaders in our field;
- are supporting our members and stakeholders to meet their changing and diverse needs; and

As CEO, you will lead a passionate and experienced senior leadership team with three direct reports, while working closely with and reporting into our Board, key partners and funders, and ensuing an engaging, empowering, tenacious approach across all we do.
Advocacy of community rail and its benefits will be high on your agenda, and you will be working closely across multiple stakeholders including UK and devolved national governments, regional and local authorities as well as forging collaborative partnerships with like-minded organisations.

Other information
The role will involve extensive travel within Britain as part of building your profile and that of the organisation with central and devolved government in Scotland and Wales, and increasingly with the devolved regions of England.
There is flexibility on location given the requirement to travel and that your office will be home-based. You will need to travel to in-person quarterly team meetings (usually in London or West Yorkshire) and to Board meetings which alternate between online and London. It is expected that travel will be by public transport and easy access to the rail network is therefore required to ensure journeys can be made sustainably.
This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week. We use a flexi-time system with core hours 10am-3pm, and are committed to being a flexible, supportive and understanding employer. This is a permanent position with a probationary period of six months.

- Grow awareness and engagement with Police Care UK across community groups, partner organisations, supporters, and potential beneficiaries, increasing visibility within key audiences.
- Act as a central point of contact for event, engagement, and speaking enquiries from community organisations, charities, corporate partners, event organisers, and other external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the Charity’s attendance at community events, fundraising activities, and conferences, including planning logistics, preparing materials, supporting volunteers, and gathering post-event insights.
- Support the Executive Leadership Team to ensure appropriate representation at higher-profile events, preparing briefing materials and ensuring consistent messaging
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager to identify and support volunteer involvement at events, community activities, and awareness opportunities.
- Support the Fundraising team by promoting community fundraising, challenge events, payroll giving, and corporate partnership opportunities to a wide range of audiences.
- Develop insight into our audiences, helping the organisation better understand supporter motivations, community needs, and engagement opportunities.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Police Care UK and to represent the Charity values in all that you do.
- Work within agreed KPIs to measure the success of engagement activities and ensure alignment with the Charity’s strategic objectives.
- Assess and prioritise event and engagement opportunities, ensuring each activity has clear objectives, outcomes, and value for the Charity.

Prospectus is proud to be partnering with our client, a small, specialist health charity dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by Dravet Syndrome.
Dravet Syndrome is a rare, life-long and life-limiting form of epilepsy that affects approximately one in every 15,000 people in the UK (around 2-4,000 people in total). It is a complex epilepsy syndrome so as well as severe, difficult-to-control seizures, people with Dravet Syndrome live with intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated difficulties including with speech and language, mobility, behaviours, eating and sleep. It is also common to have a co-diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD.
Founded in 2008 by a group of parents seeking support and information, DSUK has grown significantly over the past 17 years. Today, DSUK supports nearly 600 registered families across the UK and reaches over 2000 people in total, including parents and carers, siblings and bereaved families. As an organisation they deliver a range of impactful services aimed at improving the lives of beneficiaries through family support, professional education and medical research.
At a time of continued growth for the charity, and as medical advancements in the field continue (including clinical trials for the first gene therapies in rare epilepsy), DSUK are now looking to recruit a strategic, collaborative new CEO to help shape the next stage of their journey.
As the organisation’s new CEO, you will provide inspiring, values-driven leadership across the organisation, holding overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and long-term growth. You will work closely with the Board of Trustees to develop and deliver the organisation’s next five-year strategy, steering organisational priorities, strengthening culture and ensuring the charity continues to grow, both in terms of scale and in impact. You will lead a small, dedicated, cross-functional team across family support, fundraising, communications and research, driving collaboration across all teams. You will also lead on impact and quality, embedding a culture of learning and continuous improvement. A key part of your role will involve developing and building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families, professionals, researchers, pharmaceutical companies as well as other charities and funders. You will also represent DSUK at relevant conferences and sector events, both in the UK and occasionally internationally.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a small, specialist, growing organisation providing life-changing services.
