Job Title: Hertfordshire Project Officer

This role requires occasional work outside of core hours (for example, if visiting a school breakfast club). It also requires travel to schools across Hertfordshire, so access to a car would be desirable. Training for delivery of the programme will be provided online and in person, and you will be expected to travel outside of Hertfordshire for some of these sessions.

At School Food Matters we believe that school food can unlock a happier, healthier, more sustainable future for every child. To achieve this, we campaign for a better school food system, bringing the voices of children, parents, and teachers to government policy, and deliver fully funded food education programmes in schools across the country.
Background to Nourish
Our Nourish programme supports schools to create a food environment that puts children and young people's nutrition first. The evidence-based, multi-component programme helps schools to develop action plans and policies to cover the food served across the whole school day. Nourish uses a collaborative whole school approach to food involving everyone across the school community to create lasting positive change.
Job purpose
· To deliver Nourish in 40 schools in Hertfordshire (primary, secondary and SEND settings) over 3 years in a delivery team of two Project Officers and a Project Assistant.
Key tasks include
· Support with recruitment of schools to take part in Nourish
· Complete in person food audits in schools looking across the whole school day
· Support schools to create and deliver a food improvement plan (action plan)
· Develop and deliver workshops in schools to staff, parents and students based on their action plan (e.g. assemblies, cooking sessions, school food standards training, packed lunch advice, food ed/sensory tasting sessions)
· Support schools to write a school food policy
· Build relationships and work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, cooks, kitchen teams and senior leaders in schools to improve the food they offer their students
· Collect data and maintain accurate records relating to the project
· Work closely with University of Hertfordshire and our Evaluation team to complete all monitoring and evaluation
· Work in collaboration with Hertfordshire project delivery team
· Gather content for our comms team (website and social media platforms)

Introduction
THINK EQUAL is a global education initiative with a mission to ensure that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) becomes a mandatory subject for all children in early years settings globally. SEL is the process through which knowledge, attitudes, values and skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making are developed.

The THINK EQUAL Programme has a global presence across six continents and has undergone three RCT trials in contexts as varied as Colombia, Botswana and Australia. There is a growing demand from other countries for the THINK EQUAL Programme and the organisation is now strengthening its team to be able to respond to this demand
Purpose of the Role
Working at the forefront of Think Equal’s mission to bring the ‘missing subject’ to the hearts and minds of children in the UK, the role of the UK Programmes Officer primary focus would be to ensure the successful delivery of the Think Equal programme across early years classrooms in the UK. Working within the dynamic Global Programmes team alongside dedicated UK-focused colleagues, this role is highly motivating, and requires great organisation and communication skills as well as an enthusiastic, solution-focused attitude. This may include providing support to the Business Development team regarding potential expansion of the programme into new areas.
Responsibilities
Programme support

Support and coordinate the delivery of the Think Equal programme across UK projects. This includes:

Plan and deliver information sessions, training sessions, launch events and other activities engaging Think Equal practitioners, both online and in person.

Enrol new practitioners into the Think Equal training platform as they sign up to the programme.

Provide general administrative and research support to the Programmes Coordinator and other staff, representing the organisation as the first point of contact and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.

Process individual orders from schools and manage shipping requests on behalf of the staff team.

Support and communicate with TE classroom teachers and other key stakeholders - including nursery workers, primary teachers, primary heads and local authorities - to ensure fidelity and a high quality of implementation.

The Purpose of the Role
IRC’s External Relations (ER) department brings together Fundraising, Communications and Policy & Advocacy functions. With the aim to raise money, awareness and influence for crisis-affected populations worldwide, the department combines knowledge and expertise across multiple national markets.
The IRC fundraising teams are comprised of colleagues and teams working in the USA, UK, Germany, Sweden and Korea as well as emerging markets delivering direct marketing, content, account management, philanthropy, board liaison, corporate as well as trust and foundation partnerships to support IRC’s national fundraising strategies.
The IRC’s private fundraising capability in the UK has grown significantly over the past five years. Ambitious growth plans are in place to deliver increasing income from the private sector as part of an exciting global External Relations strategy.
The Director of UK Mass Markets is responsible for the leadership and direction of the Mass Markets team in the UK and for securing long-term sustainable income for the IRC through individual donor acquisition, retention and supporter care. You will lead and develop a high-performing team by growing mass marketing audiences and income, developing exciting and targeted campaigns, identifying opportunities for product, channel and audience diversification, and championing UX and a supporter centric fundraising model. The Director will also serve as a key partner to the UK Executive Director as they facilitate cross-team collaboration, accountability and success among all private fundraising teams in the UK (Philanthropy, Global Corporate Partnerships, Foundations & Trusts and Mass Markets). Scope and Authority

Key Accountabilities

Working within the Individual Giving team, you’ll have a varied role managing and supporting the delivery of supporter-centric fundraising appeals which will recruit, retain and/or develop supporters across the cause-led, gaming, in memory and legacy programmes. The Head of Operations at the Donmar Warehouse is a critical role working in collaboration with all Donmar departments, contractors and freelance staff to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of all operational, facilities and Health and Safety processes.
The role will manage the Facilities & Operations Coordinator and between the two posts ensure adequate coverage is in place across the required hours on a shift basis. The role requires coordination, communication and direction to external parties such as security, maintenance and suppliers to ensure all needs of the organisation are met, including some availability out of hours by phone and email for the most part, with time off in lieu given.

This role requires occasional work outside of core hours (for example, if visiting a school breakfast club). Background to Nourish
Our Nourish programme supports schools to create a food environment that puts children and young people's nutrition first. The evidence-based, multi-component programme helps schools to develop action plans and policies to cover the food served across the whole school day. Nourish uses a collaborative whole school approach to food involving everyone across the school community to create lasting positive change.
Job purpose
· To deliver Nourish in 6-8 schools in Birmingham (primary, secondary and SEND settings)
Key tasks include
· Support with recruitment of schools to take part in Nourish
· Complete in person food audits in schools looking across the whole school day
· Support schools to create and deliver a food improvement plan (action plan)
· Develop and deliver workshops in schools to staff, parents and students based on their action plan (e.g. assemblies, cooking sessions, school food standards training, packed lunch advice, food ed/sensory tasting sessions)
· Support schools to write a school food policy
· Build relationships and work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, chefs, kitchen teams and senior leaders in schools to improve the food on offer to students
· Collect data and maintain accurate records relating to the project
· Work closely with our Evaluation team to complete all monitoring and evaluation
· Work in collaboration with other Birmingham school food partners
· Share learnings with other SFM regional Project Officers
· Gather content for our Comms team (website and social media platforms)

You’ll be part of the policy and campaigns team, responsible for ensuring our client maintains its position as a credible, influential stakeholder in the eyes of government, NHS systems and physician members.
You’ll join the organisation just as it finalises its new strategy and decides its new areas of policy focus for the coming year. You’ll play a critical role in developing and delivering policy work on a range of high-profile topics to ensure we influence healthcare policy and the implementation of the 10 Year Health Plan.

Role Summary
The UN Policy Manager (all genders) supports our ambitious efforts to engage with international institutions to bring food system transformation and sustainable diets to the heart of the global policy agenda. They will work within our UN team to mainstream a shift towards plant-based diets as a proven climate change adaptation and mitigation solution.
We are looking for a candidate to lead our biodiversity policy and advocacy workstream, including our engagement with the UN CBD. The ideal candidate is a biodiversity expert with demonstrated experience of influencing policy outcomes at national or international level. A strong understanding of relevant financial mechanisms, instruments and entities, and experience in engaging with international policy processes and UN agencies is a plus.

You’ll also oversee our Raiser’s Edge CRM and lead our Supporter Care team to champion accuracy, efficiency, and a culture of data-driven improvement.

Community Fundraising & Individual Giving Officer
Salary: £30,000–£32,000 FTE (depending on experience)
Hours: Part time, 22.5–30 hours per week (flexible, with some evenings and weekends)

At Youth Concern, we create spaces where 13–25 year olds in Aylesbury Vale can feel safe, be real and be themselves. Through our Drop-in Centre, counselling, and homelessness prevention projects, we help young people overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
We’re a 46 year old charity with a strong local reputation, healthy reserves and ambitious plans to open a new Youth Hub. With the introduction of our Beacon CRM system, we’re ready to grow and diversify our income and we’re looking for a proactive fundraiser to help make that happen.
The role
This new role is ideal for a creative, relationship-led fundraiser who enjoys variety. You’ll lead on community fundraising and individual giving, strengthening supporter relationships, growing income, and delivering engaging campaigns and events.
You’ll work closely with our fundraising-experienced CEO, Finance & Communications Manager and volunteers, in a supportive environment where initiative is encouraged and micromanagement isn’t our style.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver our fundraising strategy across individual giving, community and corporate income.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with supporters and local partners.
- Use and develop our Beacon CRM to manage data and segment audiences.
- Plan and deliver creative multi-channel fundraising campaigns.
- Support community fundraising initiatives and events.
- Produce inspiring fundraising materials with the wider team.
There’s already strong local support, from the MP, local football club and community partners, and plenty of new opportunities to build on.
About you
You are already working in fundraising and could be ready to step up into a broader, more autonomous role. You will bring:
- Experience or understanding of individual giving, community, or corporate fundraising.
- A confident, relationship-led approach and strong communication skills.
- A genuine empathy for young people and the ability to connect with a wide range of people.
- Confidence using CRMs (ideally Beacon) and an understanding of their value in supporter management.
- A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and passion for creating opportunities for all young people so they feel safe, seen and supported.
