Job description

ABOUT US
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland.

THE ROLE
The Communications Officer will be responsible for promoting the work of the Woodland Trust in Northern Ireland, through media relations and by contributing to content for the website, social media, e-newsletters, magazines and leaflets. The role will contribute to the development of relationships with celebrity supporters and ensure quality, impact and consistency of communications, raising the Trust’s profile with key audiences.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role, promoting/marketing communications and engagement activities to target audiences, with experience working across a wide range of media.

In addition, you’ll be an excellent communicator, with the ability to engage, motivate and inspire a wide range of stakeholders with imagination, energy and flair

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work to protect and enhance woods and trees. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement
