Role overview

The Impact and Networks Manager plays a central role in delivering Beyond Equality’s wider impact strategy. This includes coordinating practitioner networks, managing external partnerships, supporting the development of resources and insight, and ensuring that learning from practice informs wider systems, narratives and policy engagement.

The role focuses on turning strategy into action — translating organisational priorities into high-quality, well-coordinated activities that strengthen practice across the sector working with men and boys, contributing to long-term systems change.

A key part of the role is coordinating a national network of organisations working with men and boys.

Core purpose

To coordinate and deliver the organisation’s wider impact activities. The role will:

• Turn strategy into concrete, high-quality activity

• Manage and develop external relationships and partnerships

Key responsibilities

1. Operational delivery of the wider impact strategy

• Translate strategic priorities into clear, deliverable work plans (with support from senior leadership)

• Track progress, outputs and outcomes of projects and activities against KPIS and M+E frameworks
   

• Identify and scope opportunities for collaboration and strategic engagement
   

2. Partnership and stakeholder management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders across education, youth work, sport, wellbeing and VAWG sectors
   

• Act as a key point of contact for partners, collaborators and network members

3. Network coordination

• Coordinate a national network of organisations working with men and boys
   

• Schedule, organise and (where appropriate) facilitate network meetings and activities

• Coordinate internal staff contributions to network delivery
   

• Manage logistics for events (digital and in-person)

Essential experience and skills

• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
   

• Experience building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders, ideally within the charity, social impact and/or public sectors

You take a methodical approach to understanding what data we need to showcase impact, then build the frameworks and provide the practical support to make collection happen across multiple methods. You will engage with traditional media and sector publications to showcase our work and support the COO with fundraising by providing the impact evidence that inspires funders and commissioners to collaborate with us.

What We're Looking For

• Methodical approach to collecting data across multiple different methods, understanding what needs to be collected to showcase impact without being burdensome

• Hands on experience supporting frontline teams with data and impact collection, building their confidence and skills

• Ability to design multiple ways of collecting a uniform dataset, recognizing different thinking, processing, and working styles

• Strong storyteller who can make data heartfelt and human whilst maintaining evidence-based rigour

• Experience with traditional media engagement (press releases, media relations) and writing for sector publications

The National Lottery Community Fund is looking for a skilled and proactive Network Manager to become part of their compact IT Infrastructure Team located in Birmingham. This role will report directly to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security. Hybrid working is available, though occasional travel to various UK sites will be required.

Role Expectations

As a Network Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our IT network, ensuring optimal performance, up-to-date security, and reliability.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Be an integral part of the Team and act as the go to person and SME for networking requirements. Work with stakeholders both internally and externally from diverse backgrounds and communities.

Working with Scriptoria 

Our senior team has an exceptional skill set, and we recognise that candidates with all the skills we need simply may not exist. But don’t worry, if you have some of the skills we want but lack others – we will train you to fill those gaps. This will include thorough training in the delivery of our well-respected training courses.

Our staff have the choice to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, SW London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings/training sessions with clients.

Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with senior team members to gain new skills and exchange ideas. 

This role requires regular business travel and overnight stays to deliver training courses (mostly in the UK, estimated 2 to 8 days per month). Role outline and purpose

The Organising and Local Mobilisation (OLM) Manager is responsible for managing ongoing support to food banks as they organise and campaign for change. This varied, proactive, and fast-paced role will involve working closely with grant funded Local Organisers as part of Trussell’s Organising Programme, frequently visiting food banks and delivering online and in person training.

You will hold responsibility for providing direct support as food banks develop effective campaign strategies – covering local and Trussell priorities – and ensuring they have the capacity, skills, and resources to deliver them. You will also work closely with other departments at Trussell and external partners to support food banks outside of the Organising Programme to influence locally and play a leading role in mobilising them to campaign for change. 

This role is part of Trussell’s Supportive Communities programme, the goal of which is to enable local communities to become places where people at risk of needing to use a food bank are supported and are using their agency to bring about meaningful changes that prevent anybody from needing emergency food. This role is focused on the successful delivery of the overall programme outcomes, contributing to the fulfilment of our long term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.

Role responsibilities

· Network area-wide delivery of the Organising Programme: Lead and manage the delivery of OLM’s Organising Programme in your network area, recruiting food banks to join, providing in person and online training and ongoing relational support to Local Organisers to ensure campaign strategies are developed and delivered. Organise and lead area-wide training, clusters, or events for food bank staff and volunteers to promote co-operation and sharing of good practice around local influencing. 

· Training, learning and programme development: Play a key role in the design and delivery of a programme of training and other learning for food banks covering organising, mobilising, and influencing. Contributing to impact and process evaluations and assisting food banks involved to explore future sources of funding, as required.

· Supporting food banks to influence locally: Empower food banks to develop their local influencing work, triaging influencing issues and managing input from other relevant Trussell Trust experts to provide ongoing support that enables the food bank to progress their influencing work. 

· Mobilising food banks in Trussell’s campaigns: Support the development and promotion of national Trussell policy campaigns, working with other teams and external partners to engage the food banks you support in taking action - including how they might take ownership of campaigns locally and help shape those priorities.

· Internal stakeholder engagement: Project manage OLM’s involvement in assigned cross-organisational projects – e.g. a policy campaign or strategic project, ensuring the OLM team are consulted, negotiating with other teams and making decisions accordingly. As part of an area-based matrix team you’ll work closely with other food bank facing staff to ensure a joined up approach to food bank support, effective communication, as well as sharing learning and best practice.
