We train and support volunteers to offer various accommodation options while building a network of local support. About your role 

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Fundraising Co-ordinator to join the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team at Housing Justice.As Fundraising Co-ordinator, you will identify both statutory and grant funding opportunities to fund our projects, and craft compelling bids and proposals that clearly articulate our vision, services, and value to commissioners and funders. You will also be responsible for applying for relevant accreditations to support your applications and will have experience of building corporate partnerships.

Dig Deep is an award-winning international development charity working to secure clean water, safe sanitation and good hygiene for the one million people of Bomet County, Kenya - half of whom are children.

This is a new position, created at a pivotal moment for the charity. Over the last year, the combined turnover of Dig Deep and our trading subsidiary (Dig Deep Challenges) has grown by over 50%. The Finance & Governance Manager will play a central role in making this work possible. By ensuring strong financial management, robust governance and clear reporting, you will help ensure every pound & Kenyan shilling is used well and every decision is well-informed.

This role is home-based and open to candidates living in the UK. You will work closely with colleagues across the UK and Kenya, with monthly travel for team meetings in the UK and occasional travel to our Kenyan office.

This is an important project working in partnership with Government, the NHS, partners and affected communities as part of national memorial activities to reflect on the impact of Covid-19 for people across the UK.
 
The contract is linked to the anticipated development and delivery timeline of the Reflection Spaces project, which is the primary focus of the role.

Overall Purpose
 
The Project Manager will work with NHS member charities and key stakeholders to design, lead and manage a high-profile programme of activity alongside key partners and those with lived experience to create memorial reflection spaces for communities most impacted by COVID-19. This is referred to in this document at the ‘Reflection Spaces’ project.
 
You will bring a dynamic, can do approach to support the design and delivery of the Reflection Spaces project, ensuring collaboration across a wide range of stakeholders, including our identified NHS Member Charities, voluntary sector organisations, funders, evaluators and government officials to create beautiful high quality and reflective spaces supportive of those experiencing bereavement with creative elements to mark their significance.
 
It involves working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including our member charities, NHS trusts, funders, evaluators, and government officials, and ensuring initiatives are delivered successfully.
 
Overall Objectives
 
To support the design and implementation of new sensory reflection spaces that create a living memory and legacy for communities of those lost during the pandemic. The new COVID-19 memorials will be created across the country that reflect the importance of green spaces to the nation during the pandemic for health and wellbeing, and to bring people together in remembrance and commemoration to those who have experienced loss.
 
To convene and engage stakeholders to inform the national elements of the project including development of the creative brief, ensuring a golden thread that brings all of the locally funded projects together.
 
You will coordinate teams, stakeholders and partners to ensure high quality delivery, excellent interpretation and relevance through codesign to represent the user needs from established steering and engagement groups to ensure quality and impact.
 
You may also be required to oversee other NHS Charities Together initiatives successfully so they deliver on their objectives, managing stakeholders, and are delivered on time and to budget - in particular the Green Communities project, which is an existing grant programme with NHS Charities to create and improve green spaces and help improve the nation’s health.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Project Design and Development

• Work with the Programme Leads and SRO to develop the Reflection Spaces project from design to implementation considering sustainability and legacy of local project design and implementation with NHS charity members.
• Managing high profile stakeholder relationships and partners across government, horticultural partners and bereavement organisations to codesign the programme of activity and/or high level design brief to guide local project delivery.
• Establish evaluation requirements for the programme and projects delivered at a local level and in line with partners involved, leading processes to convene, capture and share evidence, data and insight to support knowledge of impact for users of the spaces. Commission and manage external evaluations where appropriate, ensuring quality and alignment with project aims.
• Plan funding aspects of the programme allocating awards to chosen NHS Charities able to support the requirements of the spaces as per brief.
• Develop project plans with clear objectives, timelines, milestones and manage and monitor associated budget, ensuring that projects are financially sustainable and cover our costs.

 
Delivery and Management

• Lead initiatives, in particular the Reflection Spaces project, to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Establish and oversee robust project governance, risk management, and reporting processes, maintaining strong administration and compliance throughout
• Regularly review and monitor impact against the goals of the programme, ensuring the benefits and impact we seek are being achieved
• Provide line management of staff where required, such as the Senior Projects Officer working across our other related greening projects
• Manage project resources and staff effectively, fostering a collaborative team culture and supporting and ensuring team members are empowered
• Support or lead the process of securing appropriate partnership propositions, selecting service contracts or grant arrangements where appropriate, with regard to considerations such as control and VAT efficiency. Where multiple potential partners exist, ensure we have effective decision making to select the most appropriate partnerships in line with our strategic criteria, either through procurement or application assessments and establish appropriate tender processes for artistic commissioning.
• Manage contracts or grant arrangements with external partners, including evaluators and delivery organisations, delegating as required; lead or support negotiations as needed and ensure partners meet their obligations.
• Oversee and manage the delivery of the Greener Communities project to completion.

 
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Convene and engage stakeholders, including member charities, NHS trusts and employees, funders and evaluators, to co-produce and steer projects collaboratively.
• Facilitating and supporting engagement to harness lived experience voice to inform the design and delivery of locally delivered projects to ensure relevance and suitability of spaces and also to support national commemoration events such as the National Day of Reflection.
• Manage stakeholder relationships throughout the lifecycle of each project, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
• Provide support and guidance to member charities through the projects we fund, enabling high quality spaces and user experience and outcomes.
• Represent the organisation externally, acting as a champion for NHS Charities Together and NHS charities
• Form professional and beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders – including at a senior level, representing the department internally and externally and bringing your experience of greening for health.
• Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to plan commemorative events around the National Day of Reflection and to support the design of communication plans.

 
Creative Arts Installation

• Lead the creative arts commissioning aspects of the Reflection Spaces project in collaboration with partners to ensure spaces have interpretation and recognition around their purpose and also any installation artwork featuring across all sites acting as the golden thread for the programme.
• Identify and build effective relationships with new stakeholders and funders who are required for the artistic aspects of the Reflection Spaces project to support ambition, working collaboratively to secure income such Arts Council applications or equivalent for the devolved nations such as Creative Scotland.
• Establish creative steering groups that help to codesign artistic aspects that will establish interpretation of the spaces and create a ‘golden thread’ unifying the spaces

We are SIFA Fireside, the support service for any adult in Birmingham that faces homelessness. For 40 years we have supported Birmingham’s most vulnerable people through Homelessness Intervention, Prevention and Recovery services.

The purpose of the role is to support the development of SIFA Fireside through effective communications and campaigns. This role reports directly to the Head of Fundraising and Communications and is critical in raising our profile, raising funds and communicating the difference that SIFA Fireside and our supporters make to people experiencing homelessness in Birmingham. From external communications and awareness-raising campaigns to assisting with internal initiatives, this is a varied role which will work to maximise and strengthen our impact in the community.

Key Tasks (selection of):

1. Overseeing a range of communications campaigns covering schools and corporate fundraising, team challenges and social events as well as affecting change on a local and national level.

2. Supporting with organising a range of events including increasing awareness and fundraising initiatives both at SIFA Fireside and out in the community.

3. Writing press releases and promoting newsworthy stories before pitching to media outlets.

4. Taking responsibility for SIFA Fireside’s social media strategy, responding to supporter enquiries online and providing statistics as requested.

5. Review and update SIFA Fireside’s website, in liaison with the Head of Fundraising and Communications.

6. Assisting with corporate volunteer conversions (incl. liaising with volunteers, arranging photographs, supporting with feedback forms).

7. Exploring and assisting with creative ways to bring SIFA Fireside’s work to life via, for example, video and infographics.

Context:
Kinship provides direct support to, raises awareness of and campaigns for the rights of kinship carers across the UK. Kinship carers are navigating complex family relationships, trauma, poverty, discrimination. The children that they care for have frequently experienced abuse or are at risk of harm. Safeguarding concerns can be disclosed by kinship carers at all contact points with Kinship. 

Safeguarding children and adults at risk of abuse or neglect is a collective responsibility and requires a safeguarding approach that is aligned to statutory frameworks, is professional, consistent, trauma-informed and proportionate to level of risk.

The designated safeguarding officer holds organisational responsibility for Kinship’s safeguarding framework and actions. The role works collaboratively with a team including a Safeguarding Trustee and a group of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads drawn from key service areas across the charity.

The role provides expertise, professional guidance and clear direction across the organisation, supporting staff and volunteers to make sound safeguarding decisions within a framework.

Purpose of the role:
The Designated Safeguarding Manager works closely with all teams across Kinship to embed proactive, person-centred, and partnership-driven safeguarding practice to protect children and adults at risk of harm.

The role provides professional oversight to Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads through individual and group reflective practice and supports high-quality and defensible safeguarding decision-making. The role drives contextual safeguarding approaches, promote professional curiosity, continual professional development and ensures safeguarding responses are informed by lived experience and the realities of kinship care.

At Kinship safeguarding concerns come from risks of harm to adults and children often with risks of harm to multiple people in the same family context.

This requires careful, trauma-informed decision-making and support for staff responding to complex safeguarding situations.

How the role works:

Communications Officer - Lost Woods of the Low Weald and Downs

The Communications Officer has a key role to play in planning and delivering communications for the Lost Woods of the Low Weald and Downs project. The Communications Officer will create and deliver the annual communications plan, working closely with partners to promote activities and events, write, edit, co-ordinate and publish content across various channels, including the website, social media, press, and print and online marketing materials. They will work with external suppliers to build and launch a new website, and plan and implement communications and marketing campaigns, while progressively improving organisational understanding of what works for different audiences. They will also look to maximise opportunities to promote NLHF’s funding and the support from National Lottery players.

The Role:
• Field enquiries from all stakeholders including journalists, politicians, partners and the general public including management of the Lost Woods email inbox.
• Create and distribute press releases and statements as needed.
• Work with partners to plan, create, manage and update communications channels including website, social media accounts, email, press etc.
• Plan and create multi-media communications materials and campaigns including films to support projects.
• Working with partners and designers, produce, edit and distribute updates and materials for external and internal audiences.
• Provide communications support for project partners and campaigns.
• Work with partners to promote and showcase project activities and events.
• Provide creative, editorial and operational support for communications projects and report on progress.
• Ensure National Lottery Heritage Fund /National Lottery Player support is promoted through project communications and report on results.
• Ensure consistent branding is used by all partners.
• Work with partners to develop positive relationships to successfully manage project-wide communications.
• Act as a brand champion for Lost Woods amongst internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Support with project legacy opportunities, resources and distribution of assets.

The Candidate:

AHF is seeking an England Development Manager (Heritage Revival Fund) to co‑lead our core grants and advisory programme across England. This role has been created following the recent announcement of significant new investment, which will support the expansion of the Heritage Revival Fund through to 2030. This investment will enable AHF, in partnership with DCMS and Historic England, to provide grants to hundreds of communities across England, helping them bring neglected historic buildings back into use.

Ideally based in southern or central England with focus on southern half of the country. The postholder will work jointly with the current England Development Manager (HRF), who will focus on the northern half of England. Together, they will oversee activity and workflow across the whole country. The role also includes joint management of the England grants team (who work remotely) and programme budget, working flexibly and collaboratively to ensure the successful delivery of AHF’s core programme.

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience across the key responsibilities of the role, including team management, programme budget oversight, and reporting. Ideally, they will bring a proven track record of leadership within the heritage or charitable sector. Lia’s Wings is the only charity delivering life-saving aeromedical transfers by plane both within the UK and overseas. We make sure babies and children receive the vital treatment they need, no matter where they are. Alongside these urgent medical transfers, we provide tailored, wrap-around support for families to help them through a crisis, creating long-term improved health and well-being outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team on a fixed-term 14 month contract (maternity cover). 

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events and community fundraising streams, but the post-holder would also be expected to regularly support activities across our corporate partnerships, individual giving and Family Fundraising streams of fundraising too.

You will play a key role in developing these income streams, engaging our supporters to motivate them to fundraise for Lia’s Wings and creating initiatives that introduce new people to our organisation.

Key Responsibilities: 

Event Management

• To manage our Challenge, Community and Special Event fundraising streams to achieve set targets. This will include management of challenge events such as our flagship event, Ride for Lia, as well as London Landmarks and the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
• To manage our annual Air Ambulance Mingle and develop existing plans for a new Christmas Carol Concert

Corporate and Community Partnerships

• To assume account management of our smaller corporate and community partnerships (who are primarily engaged with us through event fundraising)
• To support the Director of Fundraising in the delivery of our larger corporate and community partnerships.

Supporter Engagement

• To effectively steward fundraisers to ensure an excellent supporter experience (resulting in year-on-year participation), including appropriate thanking and recognition, reporting and feedback on outcomes of events.
• To build strong relationships with existing and new stakeholders, including event committees and our Board of Trustees.

Essential Experience and Skills

• A minimum of three years proven experience in a fundraising role, preferably in a challenge, community or special events fundraising role.
• Demonstrable ability to build relationships and effectively steward and support fundraisers to exceed their targets.
• Experience in writing and developing stewardship plans and in creating engaging fundraising collateral to support donors and supporters of all levels.
• Demonstrable experience in developing and managing fundraising evens from design to completion, including logistical planning, budgeting, forecasting, stewardship and evaluation.
• Experience working with fundraising committees and/or Trustee Groups.

Level Water exists to solve a problem that shouldn’t exist: too many disabled children are still missing out on high-quality swimming lessons.

Drive growth marketing that converts

• Own end-to-end marketing for our events portfolio: from launch campaigns to sell-out.

• Build and execute multi-channel campaigns across social, email, paid ads, PR, partnerships, and whatever else works.

• Test everything. Audiences, messages, creative, channels. Find what works, double down, and scale it.

• Use data to spot opportunities: which channels are converting? Where are we leaving growth on the table? What could we do differently?

• Manage our digital advertising and paid social strategy with a ruthless focus on ROI.

• Grow our email database and social audiences with intent, not just for vanity metrics.

• Be trusted to repeatedly turn £1 into £5 or £10. 

• Define and unleash our audiences: help them share their stories in a way that turns experiences into future sales, and makes everything that Level Water does easier.

• Build and manage our captain and ambassador programmes as genuine growth engines - nurturing relationships, setting expectations, and turning influence into measurable impact.

• Proactively convert interest into action. This includes direct outreach (e.g. picking up the phone to captains, engaging top fundraisers, activating ambassadors) to ensure intent turns into ticket sales and fundraising.

Tell stories that build belief

• Find, shape, and share the stories that show our impact: the children, the families, the teachers, the moments that matter.

• Build and curate a library of content (video, photography, case studies, testimonials) that we can use everywhere.

The Katie Piper Foundation is a small, national charity founded in 2009 by Katie Piper, a burns survivor. We exist to provide rehabilitation to survivors of life-altering burns and traumatic scarring.

This is a new and varied role where you will be responsible for the development of our supporter-led fundraising and challenge events portfolio, be involved in event management and administration and provide exceptional stewardship to maximise fundraising from supporters and donors. XLH UK are a small UK patient charity supporting people affected by X-linked hypophosphataemia (XLH), a rare genetic condition which affects people of all ages. Adoption UK is undertaking a major digital transformation, initially focused on CRM and website development. We’re looking for a talented digital and data enthusiast to lead this transformation programme and subsequently oversee our ongoing digital development. This will be aligned to our strategy and preferred technology stack, and will include managing key relationships with our digital partners. 

You’ll refine and implement Adoption UK’s digital strategy, leading our digital transformation project to successful completion. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the project’s vision and scope meet the business and operational needs of the charity. The role includes direct line management of a Digital Manager and matrix project management of existing roles in data management and website content management. An important part of your role will be proactively identifying opportunities to integrate digital approaches into all current and upcoming projects.

Background – our digital transformation 

Like many charities, we’ve historically developed our digital framework and footprint organically, with insufficient web and CRM integration and functionality, duplication, and data silos. This has resulted in data management and website capabilities that don’t fully meet our users’ needs. We’re addressing this by:

• Extending our inhouse digital capability to support continuous delivery. 

Key accountabilities 

• Lead the refinement and implementation of the charity’s digital strategy. 
• Lead a project team to successfully deliver change in line with the agreed project timeline. 
• Manage the governance and assurance framework for delivering our website and CRM digital transformation programme. 
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and with current and future digital partners. Use these networks to: 

1. Promote digitalfirst principles and best practice, and raise awareness of our work. 
2. Increase internal stakeholders’ understanding of the benefits and opportunities that digital approaches bring. 
3. Proactively identify opportunities to increase our digital capability and integrate digital into current and upcoming work. 

• Revise and deploy a performance assessment framework to track individual digital projects and ensure services comply with digital and data bestpractice standards. 
• Assess and report on Adoption UK’s digital and data maturity, ensuring compliance with data security standards. 
• Manage our external digital and IT partners, including contracts and performance monitoring. 

Essential criteria 

• A strong understanding of digital and technology trends, with experience implementing a Microsoft based technology stack based technology stack. 
• Experience in successfully delivering digital change projects. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex or technical information clearly and simply. 
• Experience of building relationships with, engaging, and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Able to engage effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences. 
• Experience working at a senior level to deliver change or implement strategy. 
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to changing circumstances and tight timelines. 

Desirable criteria 

• Experience of working in an organisation that uses agile development methodologies. 
• A strong understanding of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) principles and approach, and of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles, audit, and compliance.
