Global Advocacy Lead (Maternity Cover)

Depaul International oversees a group of leading homelessness charities working around the world to end homelessness. Depaul International is seeking a confident and strategic Global Advocacy Lead to champion our international advocacy work and strengthen the global response to homelessness.

Position: Global Advocacy Lead (Maternity Cover)

About the Role

This leadership role will focus on driving forward Depaul International’s global advocacy strategy during a period of maternity cover. Homelessness is a growing international challenge, yet lacks a unified global response. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our advocacy strategy continues to progress, positioning Depaul as a trusted partner and expert voice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the delivery of our global advocacy strategy in line with the Depaul Group Strategy
• Building and managing strategic relationships with international stakeholders such as the UN, EU, multilateral banks and global NGO networks
• Representing Depaul International at advocacy forums, government and global policy events
• Supporting national members to strengthen their advocacy capacity and share best practice
• Commissioning and overseeing research that underpins advocacy and policy work
• Monitoring international policy developments and influencing responses to global homelessness

About You

We are looking for a skilled leader with experience in advocacy, policy or research, ideally within an international NGO, development or humanitarian setting. You will bring:

• A strong track record of developing and implementing international advocacy strategies

Programme Delivery Director

Homebased within UK with regular travel to MAG’s Manchester office and programme countries

Starting salary for this position is £76,535 per annum (plus contributory pension)

About the role:

You will work closely with our regional and country teams to ensure contract delivery in line with objectives, and overall compliance with donor and MAG requirements. Reporting to the Director of Programmes, you will directly support on day-to-day incident management, as well as acting as a focal point ensuring coordinated, timely, and appropriate support to programmes from other departments. You will ensure effective management oversight on business planning objectives, and on occasion on the delivery of strategic projects. You will be a senior humanitarian professional with significant experience working in an NGO with a focus on international programme management and delivery across multiple country contexts. You will be experienced in the critical assessment, development, and implementation of management structures and systems designed to improve overall delivery of activities. You will be an excellent communicator, with significant experience coordinating programme delivery and support functions including human resource management, logistics and procurement, finance and compliance. You will be a strategic leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and influence to drive change. You will be ready to travel internationally, including to insecure and conflict-affected areas, and have a solid understanding of geopolitical dynamics and their security impact. Purpose of the Role  

To coordinate Imkaan’s engagement with parliamentary spaces, campaigns, and influencing work. The postholder will support the organisation’s advocacy strategies, develop political communications, and strengthen relationships with policymakers, stakeholders, and the media to further the rights and recognition of Black and Minoritised women and girls affected by violence.  
The Parliamentary and Campaigns Coordinator will lead Imkaan’s parliamentary engagement and campaigning activity, ensuring the voices and experiences of Black and Minoritised women and girls are heard at the highest levels of decision-making. 

You will build relationships with MPs, peers, parliamentary committees, and government departments, track legislation and policy developments, and coordinate public campaigns to influence change. You will also work closely with Imkaan’s members to support grassroots mobilisation and bring frontline voices into national conversations. 

This is a strategic and creative role for someone with strong political instincts, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to justice for Black and Minoritised women and girls. 

 Key Responsibilities  

1) Campaign Strategy and Development 

• Support the design and delivery of evidence-based campaigns aligned with Imkaan’s strategic priorities. 

• Work with internal teams to craft campaign messages informed by research and sector data. 

• Develop and deliver campaigns that highlight the lived experiences and rights of Black and Minoritised women and girls 

• Work with the Communications Coordinator to create campaign messaging and digital content aligned with Imkaan’s values. Support the mobilisation of members and allies around key policy moments (e.g. consultations, votes, legislation) 

• Monitor impact of campaigns and contribute to cross-organisational reflection and learning. 

• Contribute to cross-organisational policy influencing strategy and calendar

• Build and maintain relationships with MPs, peers, parliamentary researchers, and civil servants

Role Description

The role of a programme coordinator is ensuring the smooth running of all programme related events. This will include having a full understanding of all the SEO London programmes; understanding the relevant industry that the programme supports; how these fits into the SEO London organisation and using this knowledge to liaise with students, young professionals and client/partner firms to run, organise and market successful events. In turn this role will be responsible for using data to run reports to show the impact of each programme. In coordination with the programme managers and other programme coordinators, will make recommendations for possible changes and ideas to further support the student and young professional experience. The role will also ensure a seamless and professional level of customer care to all participants.

Accountabilities

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS

• Responsible for the overall administration all participants events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities page and weekly newsletter 

 
STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING 

• Responsible for the relationship management of the participants - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO London
• Responsible for managing participants query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events
• Responsible for managing the programme inbox (where applicable)
• Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train participants and students.
• Provide oversight of cv support, screening, and recruitment preparation 
• Responsible for attending campus events and representing SEO London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm
• Organise mentoring and buddying allocations 

QUALITY ASSURANCE

• Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and participant data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes. Responsible for running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM

About this role

This role is 20 hours per week, worked part-time over 5 days Monday-Friday. Suggested working times are 10am-2pm however this can be flexible for the right candidate. The part-time salary for this role is £16,250 (£26,000 FTE for organisation 32 hours working week).

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a range of office management and administrative duties to support Causeway’s housing and support functions. You will deal with ad hoc queries and be the first point of contact for external queries, and act as an everyday presence in Causeway’s office to support with office-based team members, visitors, contractors, and cover basic in-house IT support.
