The Work Rights Centre, in partnership with the LEF Fellowship Programme, is looking for a Trainee Solicitor to join our ambitious and driven team. We are a charity set up by migrants and for migrants, and every day our multilingual team of legal advisers stand up for their employment rights and secure their immigration status. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a strong sense of justice, who is looking to build a career in a legal profession. This role will suit someone who values impact, and the opportunity to make a real  difference in the lives of vulnerable migrant workers and disadvantaged Britons.

You will be able to learn from three experienced solicitors, exercise your skills as an adviser, and progress your career in a friendly and supportive environment. The LEF Fellowship Programme will cover the cost of your mandatory legal training and exams. By the end of two years you will have had the chance to complete your SQE training and gain the required practical experience to fully qualify as a solicitor.

The role

As the Trainee Solicitor,  you’ll work on a stimulating range of issues across two wide areas of law -  Immigration (in Year 1) and Employment (in Year 2). You will learn how best to support vulnerable clients with limited English language and digital skills, how to spot signs of modern slavery or manage safeguarding concerns.

Working with our immigration team, you will help clients understand and secure their immigration status in the UK. You will support clients who have limited leave to remain (e.g. on employer-sponsored visas, Ukraine Visa Schemes, or pre-settled EUSS status) or who are entirely undocumented. Working with our employment team, you will work on cases involving non-payment of wages, non-provision of work, unlawful deductions, race and gender discrimination, or unfair dismissals. Crucially, you will have the opportunity to understand the real-life intersection of the two areas of law, as they are often experienced by the same clients. 

This is a brilliant opportunity to gain well-rounded experience across all stages of the legal process, including interviewing clients, collecting information and assessing evidence, taking down witness statements, providing over the phone and written advice, and collating evidence bundles. 

Alongside your legal work and SQE2 study, you will complete an independent social justice project aligned with your personal interests and objectives of the charity. This might entail legal research, sourcing strategic cases, or compiling data on the impact of the current policies. Working on this project will give you an opportunity to conduct strategic legal work contributing to systemic change.

Community Engagement Officer (part-time/2 or 3 days per week – fixed term contract of 12 months) for a small, growing community organisation based in East London.

The Southeast and East Asian Centre CIC (SEEAC) is a non-profit organisation registered as a community interest company that provides community-based support to members of the East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities, especially those underrepresented and marginalised migrants and refugees in the UK. Our website. This is a part-time role to lead SEEAC’s engagement with the East and Southeast Asian Communities. The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for reaching out, building and maintaining a solid network with community members, identifying and understanding communities’ needs, liaising and coordinating with other stakeholders who can provide relevant support and assistance, and supporting the development of communication materials for the communities. The post holder will work closely with members of the SEEAC staff team, volunteers and partners in organising and promoting community activities and disseminating information to the community members and relevant stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you must have 2 or more years of demonstrated professional experience working in a community setting or a non-profit organisation involving social justice issues (as an employee or a volunteer) and strong organisational and administrative skills. We expect you to demonstrate proven ability to organise events and activities. You also need to have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, as well as a good understanding of project planning and budgeting. You must be able to communicate fluently in English and, preferably with a command of at least one of ESEA languages. It would be beneficial if you have previously worked as part of a diverse team and have exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of quickly establishing good relationships to respond sensitively and confidentially to all stakeholders. Flexible homework is offered in a hybrid setting, with in-person work based at the SEEAC office in East London. To create a better collaboration with other staff members and communities, SEEAC, however, require all staff members to work in the office or on-site occasionally as required. We seek a Finance Officer to join our small team. You will report to the Head of Finance to provide bookkeeping and accounting support for Global Dialogue and Global Dialogue Ventures Limited. You will use Xero and be responsible for many aspects of operational finance including maintaining accurate records in the organisation’s purchase and sales ledgers; processing accounts payable and receivable; bank and other reconciliations; supporting month, quarter and year-end closes; and resolving ad hoc queries.

About the role

The Legacy Case Assistant role is pivotal in supporting the award winning Legacy Case Management team to deliver our transformational legacy income of £15 million each year. Legacies are Christian Aid's largest single source of voluntary income and are one of our key fundraising priorities. As we look ahead to an exciting period of growth across the legacy sector, the role of the Legacy Case Management team has never been more important.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail and a flair for managing a busy administration workload. A good communicator, you will be at ease liaising with both internal teams and external personal and professional executors. This is a varied role, from maintaining records on our database and managing a small caseload to producing monthly reports for the team. You will be proactive, working with initiative and prioritising your workload to meet monthly deadlines. You will be joining a friendly and hardworking Legacy Case Management team at a really exciting time for gifts in Wills at Christian Aid.

About the Role

The Child Participation and External Engagement Advisor is responsible for shaping child and youth engagement at World Vision UK, including leading the Youth Advocacy Network and ensuring young people’s views and voices are at the heart of everything WVUK does internally and in external engagement. Child participation comprises 60% of the role, with the remaining 40% playing an important role in maintaining and expanding WVUK’s reputation with peers and the UK government through external engagement in one or more key priority areas.

This position has a direct relationship with the members of the WVUK strategic leadership team (SLT) and the Board of Trustees, with regards to reporting and decisions to deliver WVUK accountability to safe, equitable and quality child and young people’s participation.

About You

This role IS for you if you have…

· A bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. children’s rights, development studies, international relations) or equivalent experience

· Knowledge of children and young people’s participation principles and best practice, including safeguarding standards.

· Good working knowledge of or demonstrable interest in UK government and politics

· Knowledge of media and social media communications techniques and channels, including common platforms for young people’s engagement

What will I be doing?

As Accreditation Coordinator you will part of the Membership and Inclusion team. The role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to upholding quality and standards. We are looking for an organised, resilient individual who can work without close supervision.

Duties include:

• Organising degree accreditation visits, accreditation events, and committee meetings
• Responding to a wide range of enquiries from internation and external contacts
• Conducting initial reviews of degree accreditation applications

Projects you work on may include:

• Development and delivery of assessor training
• Supporting the development of a course endorsement scheme
• Assisting with the enhancement of doctoral training accreditation

About the role

As the Specialist Social Worker, you will lead the “Serving Women, Never Battle Alone” initiative. This pioneering project provides personalised, confidential advice, practical and emotional support, and advocacy for serving women in the military who are experiencing bullying, harassment, or sexual abuse. The service is available across the UK and open to women in both the Regular and Reservist Armed Forces.

The project is a brand-new service and will be a UK wide first for the Armed Forces. You will have the ability to shape a service that offers a specific service to females in the military, using data and ongoing casework to enhance support structures and ensure that women are truly ‘Safe to Serve’.

The role will involve travel to deliver in-person support to individuals accessing the service, which may include emotional and physical assistance in engaging with relevant authorities, in line with their wishes.

As the Specialist Social Worker, you will be responsible for delivering support and guidance through a Single Point of Contact (SPOC), responding to serving women who reach out to the service, and raising awareness and understanding of the initiative both within SSAFA and among external stakeholders.

About the team

The role sits within the Social Care Directorate, under the broader Safeguarding Team, and reports directly to the Principal Safeguarding Officer (PSO). While you will be the sole practitioner delivering the project, you will have ongoing support from the PSO. Additionally, the Specialist Social Worker will sit on SSAFA’s Safeguarding Board who meet quarterly.

The role involves collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including the Ministry of Defence (MOD), individual service branches, wider SSAFA teams, and other charitable organisations.

About you

We are seeking a qualified and experienced social worker to take on this important role within SSAFA. Ideally, you will have a background in supporting individuals affected by trauma, experience within military environments or safeguarding teams, and a solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice in these areas.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are essential, along with a positive, adaptable, and creative approach to problem-solving.

Learning Support Assistant x2 (Term time only)

We are seeking two compassionate and patient Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will work closely with students who require additional support to reach their full potential. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive and inclusive learning environment while providing individualised assistance to students with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support: Work closely with students to address their individual learning needs, providing tailored support and encouragement and to have a case load of learners as part of supervision.

• Implement Individualised LP (Learner Passports/EHCP): Assist in developing and implementing EHCP/LP, ensuring students receive the appropriate support and accommodations.

Qualifications and Skills:
