A small membership / not for profit organisation of just circa 30 employees are seeking 6 months cover from early September whilst thier Credit and Finance Manager takes maternity leave.  They expect the post to be for 6 months commencing on 8th September to allow for a handover with the current post-holder.

The current post-holder works 30 hours per week, 4 days a week so can offer this contract on the same agreement or, they are also open to full time hours of 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week if preferred.  You will need to come into the office near Bloomsbury Square 2-3 days per week.

You will join a small, very friendly, helpful and social team working in an open plan office within a listed building.  It's a great working environment with a roof terrace and plenty of nearby eateries.  This is a standalone finance role as they outsource the finance to an external management finance team.

Reporting into the COO, your duties will include:

• To manage and pursue all debt position
• Reconcile the information which comes out of their MS Dynamics based CRM system (which generates the sales ledger) 
• Ensure the finance and reconciliations process with Xero is done correctly
• Raising invoices manually on CRM system
• Run reports and chase debtors
• Ensure the crucial link between the CRM and Xero is working correctly 
• Liaising with the out-sourced management finance team

Essential experience for this post will include:

• Experience of the above duties - invoices / reconcilliations / debt chasing
• CRM experience – preferably MS Dynamics
• Finance package – preferably Xero
• Clear communicator with confidence to chase debt
• Ideally you will need to understand Membership pipeline and working between Dynamics and Xero to help with prompt payments and retention.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
 
Service Delivery & Development

• Work closely with the Youth Work Manager and wider youth team in developing and delivering creative, inclusive and needs-led programmes, activities and services for young people that promote their wellbeing and enhance their life chances.
• Actively promote the meaningful participation of young people in shaping the ongoing development of Blend Youth Project service delivery.
• Work effectively across Blend sites and delivery locations in a range of contexts including: open drop-in sessions, alternative education provision, project-based delivery, community projects, detached work, 1:1 mentoring, residentials and school-based work.
• Function as the ‘Lead Worker’ within a variety of delivery contexts and conduct yourself as a role model in youth work practice, providing practice-based support to other staff/volunteers as required.
• Support the planning and delivery of alternative education sessions in a variety of settings as required and directed by the Alternative Education & Post-16 Manager and Specialist Teacher.

Information about the Job Role

This full-time role will be best suited for applicants who are able to balance a busy work schedule being both office based and community based, working mainly with Primary and Secondary aged children and their families, and delivering workshops and one to one support in Croydon based Primary and Secondary Schools, and at CDI sites. About the Choir with No Name

The Choir with No Name has been running choirs involving people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation since 2008, and we currently have choirs in Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Cardiff, Coventry, Sheffield and Brighton. We were founded on the premise that singing makes you feel good; it distracts you from all the nonsense in life and helps you to build confidence, skills and genuine, long-lasting friendships. We are looking for maternity cover for our part-time Finance and Data Administrator role. As Finance and Data Administrator, you should have a proactive mindset and a positive attitude. About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school. 

Key Objectives for this Role

Working under the supervision of the Senior Caseworker you will:

Working with the Senior Caseworkers and Team Manager your role and responsibilities include: 

•Support staff to liaise with young people and their families/carers to communicate information regarding our work

•Provide information, support, advocacy and guidance to children and young people from refugee backgrounds (and their families/carers when available), to ensure that they are able to access their educational rights.

•Increase communication and understanding between young people, families, social services, schools and other professionals

•Develop relationships with schools and relevant agencies, in order to make and obtain referrals, and support refugee young people and their families access educational services.

•Empower young people and their parents to take control and be their own best advocates

Main duties and responsibilities:

·Run 2 monthly evening drop in advice sessions at KLS youth club 

·Run 2 monthly drop in advice sessions at Southfields Acadmey

·Support refugee young people including unaccompanied asylum seeking young people (and their families/carers when available) to overcome barriers to access and thrive 

·Identify and assess their needs and advocate with them for their rights and entitlements

·Provide information and advice whilst working other agencies (e.g. social services, and mental health)

·Refer them to other agencies as appropriate.

·Make and follow up on internal and/or external referrals and signposting whenever relevant and according to adequate referral pathways, in response to the young people’s needs
