Our client has a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join their friendly and supportive Young Person’s Service in Retford.
This busy and dynamic service based in Retford provides support to encourage young people to be the best version of themselves. Their Retford project offers a strengths based support service which aims to build the skills, confidence and independence of the young people who come through our doors
The team play a critical role in advocating for their tenants. From liaising with agencies to help them access permanent accommodation to supporting them to access education or employment training.
The Support Worker role
Every day is different and you will face many new challenges so they need colleagues that come with a built in can-do attitude! You must be willing to go above and beyond for young people help better their lives, promoting independence, being a role model and achieving a successful home environment for them to live, in line with local authority care plan.
This isn’t a typical support worker position. Communication and understanding is key to help grow and mentor our young people. This role heavily requires you to listen and communicate with the young people, so a good understanding of written and verbal English is a must.
What you’ll be doing
Even as an adult the housing market can be tough to navigate and with so much information out there you will be a young person’s advocate and guidance. You could be helping young people complete the appropriate referrals forms for housing, coordinating referrals or arranging and attending referral interviews. Alternatively you could mediate between young people and their families to facilitate moves back home. You will be highly motivated and resilient but also patient and kind. Change can be scary but you will have a positive attitude to encourage our young people.
Then comes the big move…
With your knowledge of welfare benefits you’ll help users to access grants/ charitable funding for white goods or other furnishings.
As well as this, you will be on the ball with activities related to the young person’s move e.g. arranging and facilitating pre move in meetings, joining the property inspection, liaising with the landlord where appropriate to negotiate move-in dates. You will also develop a system that matches young people across the contracted provision to facilitate house shares.
To be considered you must have a full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle. You will be able to claim mileage proving you have business cover on your insurance.
They work 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You must be able to be flexible and work on a rota. Typical shift patterns are 07:00 – 14:30 and 14:30 – 22:00.

About the Role:
You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse.
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office Victim Support, 3rd Floor, 5-7 Singer Street, London and in co-location at St Georges Hospital.
As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
- Be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.
- Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

Initially providing a hot meal, clothing, and advice to those who came for help, Spires has developed into an organization that provides a range of services, including day centre style drop ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working.
Our core mission is to support homeless people into housing and to assist those who have been homeless in maintaining their accommodation, reducing the risks they face, and increasing their choices. Purpose of Role:
• Support the effective delivery of Spires services across the range of activities provided,

You will support the delivery of the Linking Loss project, a study focused on co-producing a peer-led, group intervention for people experiencing mental health difficulties following early pregnancy loss that is inclusive of marginalised communities. Working under the supervision of the Research Programme Coordinator, and alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes the Principal and Co-Investigators, experts with lived experience of pregnancy loss and mental health difficulties, you will contribute to a range of research activities. These include recruiting participants, conducting qualitative interviews with people who have experienced pregnancy loss, liaising with NHS services, managing data in line with GDPR and ethical guidelines, and ensuring adherence to study protocols.
What you’ll bring
You will have a background in psychology or a related field, with experience in clinical or qualitative research involving parents and young children, particularly within mental health contexts.
Essential skills and experience:
- Clinical research experience in perinatal mental health, health psychology, or health inequalities;
- Proficiency in collecting, analysing, and managing qualitative data;

West Yorkshire Pathfinder Partnership (WYPP) is to be launched as a 12-month pilot, following successful programmes in other UK areas. Staying Put are proud to lead this partnership of 5 exceptional providers of domestic abuse services; Leeds Domestic Violence Service represented by Leeds Women’s Aid and Behind Closed Doors, WomenCentre, Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership and Wakefield Domestic Abuse Service.
We are now looking to set up our team of dedicated and passionate Family Court IDVAs. There are vacancies in Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees for this post, the salary will be the same across the partnership, however the terms and conditions may vary.

About the role
This role will play a crucial part in supporting individuals, families and children through the family court process as part of the Pathfinder programme. We are seeking a Medical Professional, with significant expertise and experience in global humanitarian and disaster responses, to provide specialist technical guidance and leadership across our humanitarian health programming.
UK-Med is an NGO providing emergency health support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. We provide clinical support, as well as training and capacity building for health professionals around the world, with particular focus on countries vulnerable to natural disasters, outbreaks or with weakened health systems due to complex emergencies. As a key partner of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT), we work closely with FCDO and the WHO, but we are also growing our own programmes. Our work has never been more vital, with disease outbreaks and disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe.
Our portfolio of emergency health programmes continues to grow at pace, with current or recent projects in countries including Ukraine, Afghanistan, Malawi, Myanmar and Turkey. Projects include outbreak response, health worker capacity building, trauma and surgical care and health systems strengthening.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in the area of emergency response and disaster medicine, ideally including migration and conflict contexts. You will be able to apply your expertise to developing strategy at an HQ level, designing health responses and capacity building programmes as well as contributing to grant proposals. You will be willing and able to deploy overseas with our responses, providing leadership to health teams and liaising closely with Ministries of Health, WHO and other external partners.

The Refugee and Migrant Centre is seeking to appoint two Employment Coaches, one full-time and one part-time – to support clients in overcoming barriers to employment and moving closer to the labour market.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide one-to-one employment support to clients, including CV building, job search assistance, interview preparation, and completing job applications.
· Assess clients' skills, experience, and employment goals to develop tailored action plans.
· Support clients in accessing training, work placements, and volunteering opportunities to enhance employability.
· Liaise with employers and training providers to identify suitable opportunities for clients.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, tracking progress and outcomes in line with organisational requirements.
· Work collaboratively with other teams and services within the organisation to provide holistic support.
· Support the delivery of employment workshops or group sessions where needed.
· Promote and uphold the values and policies of the Refugee and Migrant Centre in all aspects of work.
Essential Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years' experience working directly with clients on employment-related matters.
· IAG level 3 qualification or commitment to complete.
· Good knowledge of the UK job market, including current recruitment practices.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
· Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied caseload.
