Purpose of the role:

• To provide innovative, exciting and accessible youth work and youth projects to disabled young people aged 11-25 years old.
• To support the running of Girls Group aged 11 – 25 years, including accompanying minibus runs.
• To provide additional support to programme leads where your contribution can make the most meaningful difference. Our programmes are: Independence, Social and Emotional Wellbeing, Employment Support, Creating Communities and Opportunities (cultural experiences), Changemakers (social action), Health and Getting Active (health and fitness) and Greener Futures (environment).
• To support the delivery of our holiday programmes and residentials, providing overnight disturbance cover where you will be responsible for our female members.

Required skills, knowledge and qualifications

• A minimum of 1 years experience in the youth work sector.
• A minimum in Level 2 Youth Work or working towards a qualification.
• A highly motivated, passionate and creative youth worker.
• Strong empathy and a person centred approach.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• A strong understanding of the principles of youth work as a distinctive practice of informal education and voluntary participation.
• An informed understanding of inclusive practice, with an enthusiasm to learn more and share your knowledge.
• Confident use of Microsoft packages.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Able to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
• Willing to work regular evening youth clubs, stay on overnight on residentials and work the (very) occassional weekend.

Desirable

• Experience of supporting learning disabled and autistic young people.
• Knowledge of Makaton or other communication aids.
• To have a driving licence
• Ability to drive a minibus (including a D1 licence and MIDAS qualification).
• First aid and/or mental health first aid training.

Reporting into the Challenge Events Manager, you’ll boost our ability to grow our portfolio of events and connect personally with the incredible people who support CALM on a day to day basis. 

The reasons people fundraise for CALM can be deeply personal. They might have lost someone to suicide, used our helpline for themselves or someone they know, or they might want to support a lifesaving service. By understanding what drives them, you’ll shape and deliver event experiences that feel meaningful and memorable, strengthen their connection to CALM, and inspire them to keep coming back for more. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE

• Contribute to CALM’s fundraising targets, through excellent event delivery, relationship management and supporter care

• Ensure all supporters receive excellent care from CALM, as well as completing all assigned admin tasks with a high degree of accuracy

• Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events

• Be a data steward for fundraising, ensuring quality data management

SUPPORTER ENGAGEMENT AND STEWARDSHIP

• Support on delivery of the Challenge Events portfolio, ensuring Challenge Event Fundraisers are staying on track - such as completing registration forms on time, and setting up fundraising pages

• Provide general support to the Challenge Events Manager with event day delivery as required

• Represent CALM at Challenge Events, including acting as an Event Day Lead, and attending wider CALM events

• Work with the Challenge Events Manager and Event Fundraising Lead to develop our portfolio of events, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and putting ideas into action

• Steward CALM’s Challenge Event Fundraisers effectively throughout their journey when supporting CALM, to ensure they feel appreciated and inspired to fundraise for us

• Be the friendly voice of CALM, responding to enquiries through the website or phone in a timely manner

• Proactively craft and send personalised emails to fundraisers to drive retention and satisfaction

• Help with the management and optimisation of the Challenge Event email automated journeys used to steward participants in the lead up to and after their event

• Help to devise and manage our email marketing strategy to event participants 

• Deliver stewardship calls to Challenge Event Fundraisers - welcoming them to the team upon sign up, wishing them good luck before their event, or offering them fundraising guidance and support 

• Work across various income platforms to ensure fundraising pages and donations are correctly coded, including JustGiving and Enthuse

• Support on the maintenance of relevant pages on the CALM website

• Analyse feedback from fundraisers via our post event surveys and identify areas for improvement

We're the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) - a suicide prevention charity fighting to reduce the devastating impact of suicide in the UK.

We run a life-saving helpline for anyone affected by suicide or suicidal thoughts, and our website has loads of tools and resources packed with practical advice.

We also run vital campaigns to increase awareness, smash stereotypes, and change the culture around mental health and suicide.

 We are looking for an organised, proactive and creative Events and engagement manager to join our team on a 12 month part time 0.8 FTE contract.

You will lead our core events programme. You will manage in-person and online events, liaise with speakers and attendees, prepare briefings and promotional materials, ensuring all events are delivered efficiently, on budget and in line with our environmental standards.

You will also manage internal staff events, monitor and evaluate event outcomes and manage our contacts database, maintaining accuracy and GDPR compliance. This is a varied role requiring strong organisational, logistical and administrative skills, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Position in the Organisation

The post holder reports to the head of communications and works in consultation with senior management and the policy and politics team on event planning. The position sits within the communications team, comprised of the head of communications, press officer, two communications officers and the events assistant. They rely on additional support from the events assistant and our team of trainees in preparing events, as well as the full staff team, who represent us at events.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Events management:

- Manage and curate Green Alliance core events programme, assist staff as required on their specialist events and be the first point of contact for all event enquiries.

- Target relevant audiences and manage invitee and attendee lists, liaise with speakers and produce briefings and promotional material as necessary.

- Liaise with venues, arranging catering and other event services within budget.

- Oversee all the technical and logistical tasks relating to online events, including generating links and managing reminders, hosting Zoom webinars, welcoming and briefing participants, troubleshooting throughout events, and editing and uploading recordings to YouTube.

- Monitor and evaluate event outcomes in line with organisational and project objectives; gather information and feedback the analysis to staff and board, including invitation uptake and audience profiling.

- Ensure events meet Green Alliance’s environmental criteria and are organised according to best value principles.

- Manage events on the day, including directing staff roles in advance of and during the event, and oversee all technical aspects of online webinars, roundtable discussions and seminars.

- Organise internal staff events with the events assistant, including the Christmas party, strategy away days and other internal learning events, such as our lunchtime seminar series.

Database management:

- Manage the contacts database, ensuring it is up to date and accurate.

- Support staff on how to use the database and maintain protocols to ensure ongoing data integrity.

- Keep abreast of GDPR in relation to events and database management.

Other:

- Line manage the events assistant.

- Hold a company credit card.

- Provide any other support which may reasonably be requested to be undertaken within the scope of this post.

- Participate in organisation planning and strategy discussions.

- Due to the nature of the role the post holder will be required to work some early mornings and evenings for time off in lieu.

About Cosmic

Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, and pioneering research. We also deliver our own emotional and practical family support services - making a real difference for children and families when they need it most.

The Role

This role will be pivotal in connecting Cosmic with the families we support and our NHS units across both hospital sites, by managing service delivery and fostering continuous engagement. The postholder will lead and coordinate our new Post-Discharge Support service, working closely with families, the NHS Family Liaison Team, and counsellors. They will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of service delivery projects - focusing on the experiences and impact on both NHS staff and families - while ensuring efficiency and value for money through careful cost assessment.

NHS Engagement & Relationship Management

• Build strong partnerships with PICU and NICU teams to embed Cosmic’s presence, raise awareness, and identify areas for support.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and deliver projects that improve patient, family and staff experiences - maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of funding needs.
• Liaise directly with families on the units to understand their needs and explore how Cosmic can offer practical and emotional support, helping to build trusted relationships and inform future service development.

• Work with our supporters and past patients and families in the development of projects and services.
• Work closely with the Family Liaison Team, who will interact directly with families benefiting from the service, to ensure their needs and experiences inform the ongoing development of the project.

• Develop and implement data metrics and gathering points to measure and analyse the impact of Cosmic’s services, supporting outcomes reporting and strategic decision-making.

The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.

You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.

The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.

This role is fixed term until end of October 2026 covering an internal secondment.

We’re looking for a pro-active and highly organised person to join our team. You’ll be self-motivated and able to multi-task, supporting a busy team while keeping on top of your own projects. WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation. Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.  Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams. You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations.  You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France. An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids. You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations.  You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors.  Occasional trips to France. Interest in Christian Meditation/Spirituality an advantage.

The way people are accessing support is evolving and we need to ensure that we are developing support services that reflect the complex needs of a brain tumour diagnosis using a range of platforms - from a traditional phone line service to innovative, engaging and instant solutions.

Supporting children, young adults and their families - from those who are looking for general information about treatment or care, to those who need more detailed support from the point of diagnosis, you will be passionate about improving the lives of those affected by a brain tumour. You will be comfortable providing support and information across different channels; capable at breaking down complex, scientific information in an accessible and personalised manner; and committed to developing pioneering resources to support our community in smarter ways.

You’ll be able to work collaboratively, supporting the work of the Children & Families and Young Adults Team, in addition to assisting on our Adults Team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide specialist emotional and practical support and information to people affected by brain tumours, their friends, families and carers through a variety of solutions including phone, email, webchat, online and social media plus new evolving channels

• Provide high quality information which reflects the most up to date research, clinical information and treatments, in a way people can understand. Conducting the research yourself and adapting your communication to suit the person you are supporting is key

• Offer coaching guidance to empower individuals, helping them to achieve the appropriate next steps

• Plan and facilitate online and in person events for families, teenagers and young adults

• Lead on aspects of cross team projects and develop new resources that meet our community’s needs, while collaborating with other teams and external partners

• Provide support to our Young Ambassadors through coordinating activities and check ins, facilitating meetings, and enabling meaningful input into our Young Adults Service.

• Identify gaps in knowledge across the Support Team and identify possible training areas

• Developing information for our website and other age-appropriate resources, for example, writing initial drafts and reviewing information

• Day to day management of our online peer support platforms, for example our Facebook group for parents of children with a brain tumour diagnosis

• Work in conjunction with the Volunteer Development Manager to recruit, train and manage volunteers who assist in delivering support services

• Update and maintain accurate contact information on the CRM database, producing data reports as required to evidence the impact and reach of our support services

• Identify, manage and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with The Charity guidelines

• Review day to day tasks across the Support Team

We are looking for a successful Individual Giving Manager to join our dynamic Fundraising Team. You will be developing and delivering innovative fundraising strategies to grow our individual donor base, maximise supporter retention, and expand legacy giving.

About You
We are looking for a passionate and creative individual giving fundraiser or marketeer to develop and drive forward the programme. You will have a track record of delivering against income targets and KPIs and be experienced in delivering campaigns and activities on time and within budget.

With excellent writing and communication skills, you will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Manage Individual Giving Campaigns:

Help design and implement engaging individual giving campaigns across multiple channels (direct mail, digital, email, telemarketing, etc.).
Plan, manage, and execute regular giving programs, aiming to grow a sustainable donor base.
Monitor and report on campaign performance, using data to optimise and drive continuous improvement.

Recruitment of New Donors:

In conjunction with your line manager drive the recruitment of new individual donors through online and offline channels, focusing on building long-term relationships.
In conjunction with your line manager develop strategies for donor acquisition via social media, digital marketing, and fundraising events.
Create and manage lead generation initiatives to convert prospects into committed supporters.

Develop and Run Legacy Campaigns:

Design and deliver targeted legacy giving campaigns to raise awareness and increase donations through bequests and regular giving.
Ensure legacy messages are communicated effectively across different touchpoints, including online, print, and events.
Cultivate and steward legacy supporters, ensuring they feel valued and part of SANE’s vision.

Direct Marketing and Social Media:

Work closely with the Digital Marketing Team to create content for direct marketing and social media to encourage donations and engage with potential donors.
Collaborate with the Media and Communications Team to ensure that fundraising messages are compelling, on-brand, and reach the right audience.
Measure and analyse the impact of digital fundraising and social media efforts, making data-driven decisions to improve engagement.

Website and Digital Fundraising:

Work with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure the charity’s online donation platforms are optimised to drive conversions and facilitate a smooth giving experience.
Work with the Digital Marketing Team, Deputy Head of Fundraising and COO to develop strategies to integrate online donation opportunities within the website, social media, and email communications.

Donor Stewardship:

Develop and implement strategies for donor stewardship, ensuring individuals are thanked, informed, and engaged post-donation.
Maintain a regular and consistent program of communications with donors, keeping them updated on the impact of their gifts.
Identify opportunities to upgrade donors to higher giving levels and inspire loyalty.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Work closely with the Services and Media and Communications Teams to gain SANE Services statistics, case studies and up to date on general mental health information, to align individual giving efforts with broader fundraising strategies.
Provide regular reports on campaign progress, income generation, and donor acquisition metrics to the line manager.
Assist with donor relations and events as needed to nurture relationships and engagement.

Home-Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families and children.  Our team of trained staff and volunteers provide regular emotional support and practical help to families in their own homes and in groups throughout the community.

While the majority of our funding has previously come from grants, we are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a part-time Community Fundraiser to help the charity diversify our funding sources and engage with the local community, individuals and businesses.

The right candidate will combine their enthusiasm about our purpose, their excellent networking and negotiation skills, and their local know-how to generate income from a range of sources across Epsom, Ewell, Banstead and North Mole Valley. Knowledge of Home-Start and similar experience would be advantageous.

This role requires good IT, evaluation and report writing abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential financial and other data.
