As Relationship Officer – North, you will provide focused support and undertake a range of activities that encourages the retention of existing members within your region. In doing so, you will create the opportunity for membership growth at regional level. You will achieve this by maximising the quality of the members relationship with the organisation and the perception of the value of the membership proposition.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your people, communication and relationship skills in a fast paced and varied role. Reporting into the Relationship Manager – North, you will be able to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders and work with volunteers across the region. You will be an independent self-starter who learns and adapts quickly, able to use your own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
This role is a remote position, with some travel needed across the region. They are open to discussing flexible working.
What you’ll be doing:
Membership
• Organise and run onboarding sessions for new members, ensuring that they are aware of all the benefits available to them as members and how to access them.
• Participate in membership benefit and retention projects, as directed by the Relationship Manager or the Management Team.
• Promote and signpost members to Professional Development opportunities within the organisation.
• Maintain membership retention levels to an agreed % within your region.
• Provide a high-quality customer care service for members.
• Maximise the promotion and awareness of membership benefits and activities to non-members, to encourage new membership.
• Work with the Acquisition Officer to identify new external membership streams within your region.
• Work with the Acquisition Officer to minimise those exiting the membership base.
Events
• Organise and attend regional events (including evenings) and external events as required, to increase retention of members.
• Promote and signpost members to national events (online & in person).
General Responsibilities
• Input and maintain up-to-date CRM records.
• Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of all activities, products, and services.
• Maintain a strong relationship with regional volunteer teams, to ensure a continued understanding of your regions member interests.
• Assist the relationship manager with ad-hoc tasks and projects, as and when required.
• Assist the Acquisition team by canvasing the current membership base for new sales opportunities.

We are looking for a skilled individual to play a central role in Alzheimer’s Society’s influencing efforts. Our Commissioned Services in England work with local NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups and healthcare professionals to offer services for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and/or hip. We have been running our Commissioned Services in England since 2014. Through delivering one-to-one and group information and peer support sessions we have supported over 6,500 people.
About the role
As part of this team, you will coordinate and deliver all aspects of our Living Well with Arthritis England Commissioned services in the East Riding of Yorkshire CCG area (view the area on this map).
The service informs people about their condition, how they can self-manage, and the treatment options and support available to them. Our aim is for people with osteoarthritis to have the confidence, knowledge, and skills to live how they wish to live.
You will help shape and deliver support for people living with arthritis whilst working alongside our group networks and peer support volunteers to maintain and grow our Commissioned services.
Whilst the post is home based, there is an expectation that some travel will be required to attend meetings and embed the service. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for effective service delivery.

The Role
Reporting to the Engagement Lead, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across the locality to deliver against engagement activity, including supporting the development of the Stroke Group Network, and building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including groups, partners, stroke survivors and carers in the locality.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting delivery against the community volunteering strategy for the locality
- Building and maintaining key relationships with key stakeholders
- Enabling peer support and self-sustaining stroke communities to flourish in the locality
- Providing management to volunteers and volunteer managers
- Supporting delivery of a localised approach to addressing health inequalities
- Volunteer recruitment
About You
You will have experience/understanding of:
- Managing and developing volunteers
- Working in partnership with other organisations, ideally in voluntary, health and social care
- Developing support using co-production with service users
- Supporting groups and developing networks
The ability to travel extensively across the locality is essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role.

You will manage a beneficiary caseload and provide ongoing support to beneficiaries to find practical and long-lasting ways to achieve their potential, lead more fulfilling lives and take responsibility for their future.
If successful, the main duties of your role will be:
- Beneficiary caseload management.
- Carry out an initial exploration of beneficiary needs and priorities and agree with the beneficiary (and other relevant agencies) a corresponding action plan; developing this action plan and providing follow up support as required.
- To provide ongoing support to beneficiaries to find practical and long-lasting ways to achieve their potential, lead more fulfilling lives and take responsibility for their future.
- To offer specialist advice, advocacy, and referral to Statutory, and Third Sector agencies; empowering and supporting beneficiaries to address and manage their needs effectively.
- Identify and support beneficiaries to access specialist services available in the region such as detoxification, rehabilitation, work placement and interim supported housing programmes.
- To provide interim support whilst beneficiaries are awaiting assessments or appointments with Statutory and External services.
- Ensuring beneficiary case management records are kept up to date and accurate.
Please note this role is home-based with some requirement to travel across geographical area and in line with organisational hybrid working practices. Candidate will need to be based within the London and commutable surrounding areas.

The Children’s Society are excited to be recruiting for a Prevention Officer to work collaboratively with local and regional partners across the North East region to develop new and innovative approaches in preventing and responding to child exploitation and abuse.
This is a full time fixed term position until 31st March 2023. The Children’s Society will be completing a competitive process with the aim to deliver the Prevention Programme longer term.

Prevention Officers work from home and can be located in any part of the country, however a successful candidate not based in the area should be prepared to undertake occasional travel for in-person work with partners in the Northeast.
The Prevention Programme
The Prevention Programme is now in it’s fourth year as a key part of The Children’s Society’s national programme team. Funded by the Home Office, we also form part of their Child Sexual Abuse strategy and work in close partnership with organisations across the public, private and charity sectors to achieve our goal of preventing Child Exploitation and Abuse, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking across England and Wales.
The Prevention Programme is an exciting, fast-paced programme which drives forward radical change in the prevention of Child Exploitation at a local, regional and national level.
Last year the programme won the Children and Young People Now Partnership award, an award that is the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families, and provides recognition of the achievement of services across the third sector.
We’re looking for skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic Programme. With a good understanding of child exploitation, strong partnership working , facilitation and communication skills and a passion for improving the lives of young people at at a regional and national level, you will work to develop and deliver a range of projects to prevent and improve responses to child exploitation across the North East of England..
These projects will involve a mixture of training delivery, facilitation, resource creation and the coordination of multi-agency working groups to achieve long lasting change across different sectors and geographical areas.
