The role

This role will support the Director of Internal Development & Culture with the implementation of plans and projects within StreetGames. 1.To provide administrative and project support to the Director of Internal Development & Culture

2.Co-ordinate the effectiveness of cross-organisational meeting structures, ensuring they function effectively through managing availability, booking meeting space and arranging meeting logistics, alongside sharing follow up information and actions.

As a Grants and Foundations Officer, you will work closely with senior managers and service managers, researching potential funders, securing funding from trusts, foundations and other potential funding partners. Purpose of the Role 

The HR Officer provides comprehensive HR support across the organisation, ensuring best practice and compliance with employment legislation. This role covers the full employee lifecycle, HR administration & HR system admin, policy implementation, and coordinating employee engagement initiatives, while contributing to long-term HR projects and organisational change. 

Key Responsibilities 

Employee Lifecycle Management 

• Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns. 

• Coordinate recruitment processes, including building job packs, setting up roles on BrightHR, advertising vacancies, and supporting shortlisting. 

• Schedule and coordinate interviews. 

• Prepare employment contracts and issue HR letters (e.g., annual pay reviews, leave requests). 

• Manage pre-employment checks and ensure new employees receive starter information. 

• Plan and oversee induction for all new staff. 

• Support probation reviews and oversee the bi-annual appraisal processes. 

HR Administration 

• Maintain accurate employee records in BrightHR and BrightSafe.

We’re hiring a Fundraising Officer at WeSwim, this is a relationship-led fundraising role with real ownership and influence.

At WeSwim, we support disabled adults to swim in welcoming, inclusive volunteer run clubs across London. For many of our swimmers, the water offers a new freedom, easing pain, building confidence, and opening up new ways to move and connect. Our work is powered by community, care and people who believe swimming should be accessible to everyone.

We’re now looking for a Fundraising Officer to lead our community fundraising and individual giving efforts and help shape the future of WeSwim’s income.

We already have a strong community of swimmers and volunteers who care deeply about WeSwim. In this role, you’ll work with the community to create more fundraising activitym supporting our members to fundraise in ways that feel achievable, inclusive and meaningful. You’ll be the main point of contact for community fundraisers, creating simple tools and resources that help people feel confident getting involved.

You’ll also work closely with the CEO to develop and grow WeSwim’s individual giving and monthly donations, helping to transform our mix of income over time. 

You’ll build thoughtful supporter journeys, create simple and engaging fundraising resources, and help deliver campaigns that clearly show the impact of WeSwim’s work. No two weeks will look the same, but every week will be purposeful and people-centred.

This is a part-time role (15 hours per week) with a high level of trust, autonomy and collaboration. In2STEM Alumni Officer

Job Description 

Reports to: Head of Programmes

Part Time (0.6) - £27,675 FTE 

As the Alumni Officer, you will be someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about supporting them to progress to vibrant degrees and careers in STEM. The post holder will have strong knowledge and understanding of the barriers facing young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds accessing STEM education and careers across the UK.

The Alumni Officer will deliver the continuation of support for hundreds young people who complete the In2STEM programme every year, supporting them with continued support throughout year 13/S6 as they progress to post FE education, apprenticeships and training, and providing long term careers opportunities.

The post holder will be an organised and motivated self-starter who thrives in the face of change, enjoys creative problem solving, working in a team and can achieve deadlines on a tight timescale.

In2scienceUK is a remote-based organisation, that requires occasional travel across the UK for events, internal & external meetings and staff co-working days.

Your specific duties will include:

• Evaluate existing alumni activities to recommend and implement improvements and new initiatives to support the delivery of a high quality programme experience to support In2STEM alumni, aligning with learning objectives, feedback and our theory of change.

• Develop and deliver engaging alumni communications e.g. newsletters & email updates, to keep In2STEM alumni informed of news, opportunities and events.

• Plan, organise and support the delivery of online workshops aligned to support In2STEM alumni progression milestones. 

• Maintaining up to date alumni records, in accordance with data protection, as well as working closely with the Data, Impact and Evaluation Manager to evaluate In2STEM participant progression.

• Support with the collection and creation of case studies and alumni stories to promote alumni achievements and strengthen the community.

• Support the planning and delivery of organisational in-person events e.g. celebration days/conferences.

• Work closely with the In2STEM programme and fundraising teams to ensure funder requirements are met.

As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the post holder. The post holder will carry out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager. All staff must undertake all mandatory training, checks and compliance as instructed by the organisation.

Essential: 

• Prior experience managing alumni communities.

• Prior experience of working with students transitioning from further education (particularly year 13/S6) into STEM degrees and careers.

• Excellent organisational skills, able to multitask and manage a varied workload while paying attention to the tiny details

• Experience delivering programmes and/or projects within the education, career development and/or employability sector.

• An understanding of the social and economic barriers that prevent some people from progressing into STEM degrees and careers.

• Experience working with one or more of the following groups: young people, people from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, volunteers, universities or STEM professionals/employers.

• Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.

• Experience designing and delivering events, both online and in-person, such as workshops and networking events.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation skills and an ability to adapt to a range of audiences.

• Flexible and adaptable, with an ability to pick up new tasks quickly, showing resilience when faced with challenges.

• Knowledge, understanding or experience of programme or project evaluation. 

• Working collaboratively and supporting fostering a collegiate workplace environment.

• Upholds the values of our code of conduct and is respectful to all.

• Competent user of Google Suite, Word, Excel, Canva, Powerpoint, Gmail, email marketing software.

Desirable: 

• Level 6 qualification or higher in careers guidance and development from the CDI.

• Prior experience of working with Gatsby Benchmarks of good careers guidance.

• Prior knowledge or experience of GDPR and safeguarding.

• Experience of using task/project management software and databases.

The Role

The Volunteer Recruitment Officer role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability and is pivotal in ensuring our branches have the volunteers and guidance they need to support our clients going forward.

This is both an internal and external-facing role, focused on recruiting volunteers and developing initiatives that will streamline how we recruit and welcome new volunteers into our network of branches.

We are seeking an experienced volunteering officer, who has a strong background in both volunteer recruitment and project delivery. Experience in being part of a team going through a change programme involving volunteers is advantageous. You will thrive in a busy environment, have excellent people skills and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with project delivery and innovation. Building on the strategy that has already been prepared for you, you will work closely with our Volunteer Administration Officer and our Operations Manager to help REMAP support our branches across the UK.

We want you to bring relevant experience, passion, dedication, creativity, and flair to our work.

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and be comfortable working with a diverse range of volunteers/people. As a self-starter, you can work at pace and quickly assess and deliver to changing priorities in a busy remote team. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to coordinate multiple tasks/activities and have the flexibility to respond to changing demands.

You will be proactive, enthusiastic, and excited about joining an organisation with ambitious plans to future-proof its services and reach more disabled people. Experience working in a remote environment is highly desirable.

Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 1/2 nights away for year-round events.

Salary: 13,400 - £15,000 (actual salary), dependent on experience

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will hold overall responsibility for the organisation’s performance, culture, operations and long-term sustainability. This role calls for someone who demonstrates strong strategic insight with the ability to influence and inspire others, using emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership to build positive internal and external relationships.

A fundamental part of this role is your commitment to embedding young people’s voice in decision making. You will champion their perspectives, ensuring programme development, strategy and organisational culture reflect the needs and aspirations of the young people we serve.

You will also be an ambassador for the charity, building trusted relationships with young people, partners, funders and the wider community. This role requires a leader who is values led, resilient and passionate about supporting young people through the arts and creative engagement.
