Role Overview
The Supporter Care Team are looking to hire two Supporter Care Assistant posts who’ll provide excellent customer care; engaging, involving and inspiring all supporters of Crohn’s and Colitis UK through building excellent relationships via a variety of communication channels. The role will involve dealing with donations, ensuring that our records are kept updated on our database, running reports, and undertaking general admin duties.
About You
You’ll have experience of working in a similar role, providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment, handling supporter queries and providing information in a concise and comprehensive manner. You'll need strong written and verbal communication skills to write engaging and inspiring content and messaging, you'll also be skilled at listening and responding to queries appropriately and be comfortable and effective at managing challenging situations.
You will have the ability to manage a busy workload and deadlines whilst taking ownership of problems to find a solution where possible, escalating to a manager where required.
Experience of Microsoft office is essential, as well as excellent administration skills and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although you will need to be in the office for two days a week minimum. There will also be other times when you’ll need to be in the office for fulfilment tasks or to attend meetings such as our ‘All Staff Together’ days four times a year and you will also be required to attend fundraising events.

About the Role
The Child Participation and External Engagement Advisor is responsible for shaping child and youth engagement at World Vision UK, including leading the Youth Advocacy Network and ensuring young people’s views and voices are at the heart of everything WVUK does internally and in external engagement. As Head of Media and Public Affairs you will lead, plan, develop and implement effective media and public affairs strategies to actively promote the RCPCH and its priorities for maximum influence and impact.
The Head of Media and Public Affairs is an important leadership role at the College. You will work closely with journalists and media organisations to champion the College in the media as well as securing political support for our policy messages, through stakeholder relationships within the UK Government, Whitehall and the Westminster Parliament.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy & External Affairs, you will manage, direct and motivate the team to successfully achieve performance goals. You will play a pivotal role in driving the College’s Westminster public affairs work to secure our advocacy goals and you will also manage the out-of-hours media rota, being flexible to be on-call to media as required. About our Complex Needs & Community Services
Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Complex Needs and Community Services have rapidly expanded. The services portfolio includes, The Community Support Services, The Domestic Abuse Service, Bounce Back, Complex Needs Housing Service, Flourish (for refugees and asylum seekers), Primary Care Network Service, Peer Support, Wellbeing Services and our newest services at The Sadie Centre. The services provide one to one outreach and community-based support for people across Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. As an integral member of our diverse team, you will work closely with staff supporting services with administrative needs.
About You and the Role
The Mental Health Administrator will be a key member of the Complex Needs and Community services, providing effective administrative support to the team, ensuring accurate and effective policies, communication and procedures are in place.
Key responsibilities
- To support the Complex Needs and Community teams to process referrals and make 72-hour initial referral phone calls
- To be the first point of contact for HMN callers via telephone, email and in person – providing high quality service to every person
- To undertake responsibility for admin duties for the Complex Needs and Community teams, including the processing of mail, responding to internal/external e-mails, word processing, entering accurate statistics, sending out reminders, staff training audits, record keeping audits, diary management and letter writing.
- To work in line with standardised administrative systems across HMN
- To work with the Team Leader for Peer Mentoring for groups to manage admin inboxes, send out meeting place invites and coordinate Peer Mentoring services
- To support with monitoring and evaluating services
- To check and process invoices
- To support the team with recruitment admin and staff induction
- To provide sickness/annual leave cover for our wellbeing centre admin teams, answering the main switchboard to answer enquiries
- To support the Director of Complex Needs and Community and the wider Senior Leadership Team as required with administrative tasks
- To support the teams as appropriate with client casework
We offer:
- Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)

About the Role
You’ll lead the financial strategy, planning and operations for the Orpheus Centre, ensuring sustainability, transparency and compliance while enabling innovation and growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with Trustees and senior leaders, you will:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and insight to drive organisational success.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and audit.
- Ensure compliance with The Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House regulations.
- Lead on procurement, risk management and digital transformation in finance systems.
- Manage investments and oversee capital and operational budgets.
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team.
This is a hands-on and highly influential role for someone who thrives on both strategic planning and operational excellence.
About You
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant experience in senior financial leadership — ideally within the charity and/or education sector.
You will bring:
- Strong understanding of charity SORP, financial governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with Boards and governance structures.
- Proven ability to deliver strategic financial planning and risk management.
- Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.

- Building strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, local businesses, and community groups across West/South-West England.

- Identifying new opportunities to grow income and engagement in your region, including partnerships with local trusts and businesses.
- Ensuring excellent stewardship by providing consistent, friendly, and professional support throughout each fundraising journey.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to contribute to regional fundraising strategies and develop innovative approaches to community fundraising.
- Representing the MS Society at local events and meetings, raising awareness and inspiring people to get involved.
- Required to travel throughout the region which will include the geographical areas of Shrewsbury and Telford, Hereford, Worcester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Swindon, Bath, Exeter, Plymouth and Bournemouth. Regions can be amended to meet business needs.

Age UK Croydon have an established befriending service providing one-to-one befriending for older people in their home. We are now launching a new and exciting Gift of Friendship (GoF) Programme to run alongside this existing face to face and telephone befriending service
The GoF programme will offer a new additional person-centred companionship service where volunteers and older people are matched to reduce loneliness and isolation together. The service is person centred and dependent on the goals of the individual which could include, going for a walk, going shopping, attending activities or helping an older person to build or regain confidence in going out and about and developing more social connections.
We are looking for excellent people skills, a strong initiative, and effective communications, including an ability to build relationships with clients and volunteers, and undertake matching in an astute and sensitive manner. You will also need excellent administration skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

A confident communicator and collaborator, you’ll build positive relationships, advocate for good digital practice, and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical colleagues. Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector, and an agile certification such as Scrum or Lean Kanban, would be a real bonus.

About the team
Reporting into Shelter’s Head of Digital (role currently vacant), this role oversees the work of our Digital Product Managers and Delivery Managers and sits within the Digital team alongside our front and back-end developers and QA testing capacity.
The Digital team sit alongside our Content and User Experience team, our Strategic Evaluation, Learning and Insight team and our CRM team, within Shelter’s Digital and Audience Engagement (DAE) sub-directorate. DAE is one of three sub-directorates that make up our wider Communications, Policy and Campaigns (CPC) department.
