GADN brings together NGOs and individual experts committed to achieving gender equality and the rights of women and girls in all their diversity across the world.  Our Secretariat is a small but highly respected team coordinating advocacy towards the UK Government and supporting our members to promote best practice. 

This new position will work alongside the existing Director to provide strategic direction and vision to the network and oversee the organisation’s operational work. In addition, the primary purpose of this role will be to bring in new sustainable sources of funding for the network in an increasingly difficult funding climate, and to ensure the smooth running of financial and administrative systems and Board governance.

We are looking for someone with leadership skills and vision who is passionate about our work and able to enthuse others. The ideal candidate will have a track-record in securing new funds and experience of external representation at senior levels with donors. You will bring experience in management, ideally at a senior level, and an understanding of budgets and financial planning.

This is an 18-month fixed-term position, for 14 hours a week.

You will support with various aspects within the service, with a focus on providing social contact and company to help enhance quality of life, personal safety, health and security, sustainment of tenancy and improving financial independence. You will support our residents to gain the relevant skills and knowledge to gain greater independence, supporting them back into the community.

The role

The Project Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our Council funded Adult Bereavement Service in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This service aims to provide accessible, accessible, empathetic and effective support for adults affected by bereavement, particularly sudden or drug/alcohol-related deaths. The Project Delivery Officer will work collaboratively as part of the local and regional volunteer and staff team. The Role

The Finance & Operations Coordinator is a central position in a small, purpose-driven team. The role provides direct support to the Managing Director and works closely with the Finance Committee to ensure that the charity’s financial and operational systems are well managed, compliant and effective.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team. you will empower and motivate both our  male and female residents and participants to achieve their personal goals and gain greater independence, supporting their reintegration into the community. You will provide tailored, person-centred support using a recovery model, ensuring our services are flexible and responsive to individual needs while meeting the expectations of our commissioners and stakeholders.

Your focus is on successful community reintegration and a sustained quality of life, guided by a recovery model that enables clients to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities through interactive and preventative approaches. We provide intensive accommodation-based support (six flats) and floating support (dispersed flats) designed to address the complex and challenging needs of our residents and participants.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service

About You

We are looking for someone compassionate and driven individual, with a genuine desire to support others in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and can remain calm and non-judgmental in difficult situations. Strong communication skills are essential, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners. You are proactive, solution-focused, and possess a solid understanding of the complex needs faced by individuals with mental health issues. You are adaptable, able to work flexibly, and committed to SIG’s mission of empowering individuals through innovative and inclusive support.

• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly mental health and substance dependency
• Ability to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

The Survivor Engagement and Activism Coordinator leads the Helen Bamber Foundation’s work to ensure that survivors of trafficking, torture, and human rights abuses are meaningfully involved in shaping services, influencing policy, and driving social change. Working within the Community and Integration team, the post holder safeguards and supports clients as they participate in advocacy, leadership, and organisational development projects.

They oversee key survivor engagement programmes, including the Ambassadors for Change advocacy and leadership programme, the Client Voices Forum, the Board Advisers, and the Alumni Network. This involves coordinating training, facilitating meetings, supporting campaigns, managing administrative processes, and ensuring survivors are prepared, empowered, and safe throughout their involvement.

The role also involves developing innovative ways for survivors to collaborate with staff, contributing to service design, organisational strategy, and sector-wide initiatives. The post holder builds relationships across the asylum and modern slavery sectors, manages lived experience opportunities, and may support client progression and education casework when needed.

About the role
The Professional Engagement and Education Team works across the UK, delivering education and training courses, attending health and care conferences, supporting service improvement projects and developing resources to help provide health and care professionals with the skills, knowledge and information they need to improve outcomes for people with arthritis.

As the MSK SKILLs Administrator you will support the team with the coordination of training sessions, carry out financial processes, collate service data and compile reports, support the recruitment of trainers and volunteers for the programme and provide general administrative support for team meetings and events.

About you
If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we'd love to hear from you:

• Experience of providing administrative support to a varied team.
• Excellent working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office Suite, digital working skills including experience of using databases.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to plan and prioritise workload accordingly.
