This is an exciting role in Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK to be the focal point for HR support, organisational planning and recruitment. ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people through supporting the Army Cadet Force and its activities in the community. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. About the role

This is a key role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team. You will lead the development and delivery of the Trust & Grants Strategy meeting and /or exceeding income targets, support the ongoing development and delivery of strategic objectives and KPIs, ensure strong stewardship of our existing donor relations and prospect new opportunities for funding. You will personally secure income from Trust and Statutory audiences in support of Freedom from Torture’s work across our clinical work, policy and campaigning priorities.

You will manage a committed team of three Trust & Grants Officers and work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to implement the fundraising strategy. The Trusts and Grants Team sits within the Philanthropy & Partnership Team in Freedom from Torture’s friendly, creative and ambitious Fundraising & Communications Directorate.

You will represent the organisation externally with funders and work internally with colleagues to identify opportunities for funding, in the preparation of proposals and thereafter, reports. 
 

About you

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.

It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. You must have experience and knowledge of statutory and grant fundraising research tools and grant writing in the UK charity sector.

Kinly is a fast-growing social impact start-up with a mission to help older people live independently for longer. We are focused on the megatrend of ageing demographics, improving healthspan and helping to reduce the economic and social burden of ageing.

Kinly supports older people and their families to understand what support and allowances they are eligible for and then does all the complex forms/applications for them. By doing so, we unlock £5,000 a year per person on average, helping people to afford health/care support, physios, taxis, and at-home equipment.

A majority of older people are cut off from the support they need due to barriers to access – disability, low income, lack of internet or lack of family. We help people navigate a complex system and make ageing easier. Our services are free at the point of use, and fully accessible offline (using only a landline phone), but we use a lot of technology to deliver the service.

Kinly was founded by a previous unicorn founder (insure-tech) and ex-Managing Director of an AIM-listed healthcare company. The business is based in West London, with teams focused on Benefits, Customer Success, Tech and Operations. The business has a very senior advisory Board, including Government advisors and health and care leaders. Kinly’s Head of Benefits formerly lead a successful Information & Advice Service at Age UK, gaining two external Quality Marks under her leadership.

About the role

This is an exciting new role for someone with welfare benefits advice experience.

You will complete benefits checks and applications for our clients, their families and their carers. This includes providing support with Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit, Carer’s Allowance, Council Tax and Housing Benefit applications.

Main Responsibilities

Providing information and advice over the telephone to older people, their carers and relatives

Completing benefits checks and advising clients accurately and appropriately in relation to their welfare benefit and related entitlements

Completing benefit applications

Holistically exploring a client’s financial, health and care needs to fully understand and tailor support to their specific circumstances 

Communicating with empathy, patience, and good listening skills

About Now Teach 

Now Teach is at a pivotal time in its strategic journey, following a hugely successful media and bridging fundraising campaign that has raised over £3m in new income for 2024-2026 and achieved 32 media mentions (15 national) and 2.5m PR views. We are now seeking to significantly grow our donor base and fundraised income and therefore are looking to recruit to this new role. We are seeking someone who can support the Director of Philanthropy and Communications to deliver our strategy to increase income through the recruitment of new donors and enable and deliver work with our current funders (primarily individuals and trusts). You’ll be the person to ensure they have an amazing experience as supporters of Now Teach.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

This role will be varied and offer lots of opportunities to get stuck into managing relationships with high value donors. Both the CEO, and the Director of Fundraising and Communications will work to steward the relationships with our donors in person, while this role will lead on delivering high-quality preparation, proposals, reporting, and data management that underpin donor relationships. You will also contribute to building connections across teams and aligning fundraising activities with Now Teach’s wider strategy. 

You’ll deliver exciting and engaging communications and events which inspire our donors to continue to support our cause, as well as be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting so we can give supporters a great sense of the impact their donations make. This role will work on a combination of externally facing and internal projects and tasks and will be a great way to advance your career in fundraising.

In this role you will…

• Create and maintain a stewardship calendar of content, reports, and events to engage our donors, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. 

• Write and produce proposals and applications for funding from major donors and trusts, in collaboration with programme and recruitment teams, championing user-centred thinking by representing participant and school impact in fundraising materials. 

• Write and produce reports with in-depth detail of what we have achieved as a result of the funding from our donors 

• Create an engaging termly supporter newsletter, sharing insights across the organisation to drive stronger engagement. 

• Manage and own the fundraising database, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and supporting colleagues to use data effectively. 

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of gifts 

• Ensure compliance with fundraising legislation, charity law and data protection legislation like GDPR

We are excited to share an opportunity to join Refuge as an Eastern European Independent Gender  Violence Advocate (IGVA) as we enter an important new chapter of growth, supported by funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This is a vital role which provides high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children in the community.

You will be part of a highly skilled and supportive team committed to collaborative working and continuous learning. This role offers the chance to strengthen multi-agency partnerships to enhance outreach and support for survivors, while also contributing to increasing professional understanding of the specific needs of Eastern European women and children affected by domestic abuse and violence.

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across three London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities.

It is essential for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

We particularly encourage applications from Romanian, Lithuanian or Polish speaking candidates.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. The Research & Impact Manager plays a vital role in our team, with a broad scope to get to the heart of, and tell the story of, our impact through quantitative and qualitative data. Your role is essential in providing insights and conclusions that critique and strengthen our theory of change and inform programme development. You will also increase our credibility with supporters through robustly-evidenced reporting, and inform the development of our policy and influencing work.

This is a role which encompasses both big picture thinking and detailed design and implementation. You will oversee monitoring and evaluation projects across Tender, engaging stakeholders within and outside the charity. Role Purpose

The main purposes of the Corporate Partnerships Officer role are:

• Managing the continually improving the digital systems to improve Tender’s monitoring and evaluation structures and procedures
• Leading the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and processes across Tender, with the support of the COO
• Distilling learning from Tender’s work and wider research into key insights to inform ongoing service improvement, new initiatives, policy work, profile-raising and income generation
