Salary: £32,635 - £36,158 + £480 homeworking allowance FTE per annum (£26,108 - £28,926.40 per annum for part time, 29.6 hours per week + £384 homeworking allowance)

Hours: 29.6 hours per week (part-time, 4 days) to be agreed upon successful appointment

Main Responsibilities:
The Business Development Team provides a specialist support function to enable the organisation to achieve its growth objectives. We promote the strategic growth of the organisation by supporting the retention of existing work and securing new contracts via competitive tender, trusts, grants and statutory fundraising.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer or someone with equivalent writing experience/knowledge to join us and write applications that fully articulate Family Action’s offer. The post works closely with other organisational functions and the rest of the Business Development team to convey service models and content to funders.

- Produce quality written material in easy-to-understand ways; convey ideas graphically and tailor documents to specific audiences
- Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
- Experience relevant for your effectiveness in the role might be from various sectors and disciplines. Job summary
The Head of Services and Support is a key role at Bowel Cancer UK, leading the delivery of our patient support services. We currently provide high-quality support, but we know we need to do even more - reach more people and have an even greater impact.
The Head of Services and Support will lead the development and delivery of our patient support services. This is a pivotal role with key areas of focus:
- Drive innovation in patient support.
- Expand our reach and accessibility to ensure no one faces bowel cancer alone.
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
- Champion technology and digital solutions to enhance service delivery.
You’ll work closely with the Director (Senior Leadership Team), your colleagues on the Extended Leadership Team and your services team to set strategic direction and ensure our services are impactful, inclusive, and evidence based.

About the role
You’ll ensure service enquiries are handled sensitively and efficiently, demonstrating excellent customer care skills via telephone, email and occasionally face to face. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of services includes Moving Forward courses, Living with Secondary Breast Cancer and Younger Women Together.
About you
You’re enthusiastic, proactive and committed to providing excellent customer service. An experienced administrator, you’ll be organised and methodical as well as possessing excellent working knowledge of IT systems, including working with databases.
Friendly and approachable, you’ll be able to quickly build effective connections with new people and have a sensitive approach and understanding of confidentiality appropriate for working with vulnerable people.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our Sheffield office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.
