About the Role

We are seeking a Digital Content Manager, to join our ambitious team. We know that incredible work goes on behind the scenes at Smart Works - what we do meaningfully changes the lives of thousands of women every year. As a creative, social-savvy Digital Content Manager, you’ll be ready to bring our work to life across our social media channels. Whether it’s capturing a powerful moment at our events, crafting content that makes people stop scrolling, or editing a short video that inspires thousands to act — this role is all about building connection through content.

Your work will make a real difference – spreading the Smart Works message not only to the women we exist to support, but fundraisers, referral partners, volunteers and the public too.

Some the key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Develop and professionalise content production to improve how we create and share stories.
• Strengthen our content strategy and distribution to digitally grow our audience through key campaigns.
• Coordinate our content calendar, scheduling, analysing and reporting of digital engagement, working with internal stakeholders across Partnerships, Operations and beyond. 

The successful candidate will report to our Director of Communications & Marketing and will be a natural, creative storyteller who knows how to turn ideas into powerful posts across scoail media channels. They'll have a proven ability to write, film and design original content that tells our story and will be confident with Canva, CapCut, Adobe or similar tools for editing video and visuals. • Plan, create and write multi-media communications materials, including news stories, social media content, and reports for multi-channels use
• Develop key messages and evidence-based rationale, and test with target audiences
• Ensure consistent, ongoing evaluation of campaign reach and impact, and updates for stakeholder groups.

• Monitor and moderate contributions to National Year of Reading website using the content management system
• Proofread and edit content as required

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Significant experience of planning and delivering high-profile and large-scale media and PR activity
• Experience of national campaigning including developing engaging campaign

messaging and using a range of channels to reach target audiences

• Knowledge of effective evaluation of marketing and communications campaigns
• Experience of building partnerships with a range of stakeholders across the public, private and charity sectors
• Expertise in writing for different audiences in different contexts
• Excellent working knowledge of digital platforms

The is a 0.8FTE part time role (29.2 hours per week across 4 days) and fixed term for 24 months. This role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.

Do you have experience working in supply chain management, procurement or a related field? Do you have an understanding of global sustainability issues? If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you.

Our ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing sustainability or procurement strategies, experience of developing sustainability plans for complex organisations and good knowledge of sustainable procurement principles, environmental standards, governance and social responsibility frameworks.
