Role and Responsibilities
We are looking to recruit a law graduate (1-3 years post-graduation) with experience in environmental law, economic justice and/or international development to join our small but dynamic team. Depending on experience, the role will support our programmes challenging economic injustice caused by environmental damage, biodiversity loss, deforestation, illegal resource trafficking, climate change and conflicts over natural resources; promoting transparency and accountability in public and private institutions to encourage responsibility and minimise the impacts of corruption; and promoting fairer and more effective economic and fiscal policy tools to help states meet development goals and enhance the rule of law. A more detailed explanation of our work is set out in our 2024-2026 Strategy.
Working as part of a small, busy team, you will have the opportunity to learn at very close hand what it means to work for an international NGO focusing on achieving environmental and economic justice. You will develop projects with a range of partners, including international agencies, NGOs and CSOs, and governments and government bodies. You will collaborate with a range of volunteer lawyers (law firms and barristers chambers) who are leading experts in their field. The role will also involve project management, assistance with fundraising, fulfilling compliance obligations, and evaluating and learning from projects.
Key Competencies:
• Relevant experience and knowledge (either from previous work experience or study) relating to environmental law and policy and/or economic justice in an international development context;
• A law graduate with a good understanding of how law is useful to achieving reform on the above;
• Demonstrable understanding (either from previous work experience or study) of key issues in sustainable international development, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
• Experience in developing countries and transitional economies;
• Ability to develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, including donors, NGOs, civil society organisations and government representatives, on an international basis;
• Familiarity with, or understanding and enthusiasm for the concept and practice of, pro bono legal assistance;
• Demonstrable project management skills and experience, including administration and coordination;
• Ability to work on a wide range of tasks simultaneously;
• Excellent research skills to effectively convey research findings;
• Comfortable working independently and proactively and as part of a small team with a busy caseload;
• Strong interpersonal and team working skills;
• Some experience or demonstrable ability in donor management, including managing existing relationships, meeting donor reporting requirements and in raising funds for future projects and activities (desirable);
• Working knowledge of another language used in Sub-Saharan Africa or Latin America such as French, Portuguese, Kiswahili or Spanish (desirable).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Senior Legal Managers and/or Legal Manager to deliver and implement the programme strategy, in conjunction with the Executive Director, partners, staff and Board;
2. Assist in developing an understanding of the most effective policy tools and legal interventions to deliver the programme objectives, through engagement with volunteer lawyers, ILP partners, staff, Board and others;
3. Support the building and maintenance of ILP’s programme(s). This includes:
• Liaising with partners to identify legal/policy needs and offer potential legal and/or policy reform solutions, including through conducting legal analysis;
• Assisting the programme lead(s) to build a pipeline of relevant projects and cases, including through engaging in outreach to potential pro bono partners;
• Supporting programme staff to network and build relationships with volunteer lawyers who have relevant technical expertise;
• Mapping and developing relationships with regional and international development entities and other technical assistance providers to identify potential partners, needs and focus countries;
• Representing the programme(s) in external fora and events;
4. Assist with ensuring effective project delivery and evaluation of impact including:
• Coordinating project implementation through the full project cycle;
• Supporting the preparation of financial and narrative reports for donors;
• Maintaining strong programme management and knowledge management systems and processes;
5. Support fundraising activities to support both the programme(s) and organisational overheads, including exploring opportunities for potential funding and assisting with funding applications;
6. Share in the necessary operational activities of the organisation. This includes some administration and contributions to website and social media communications.
Key details about the position:
• Location:Flexible for the right candidate including those outside the UK. Office premises are located in central London, with hybrid working (approx. 2 days per week in the office) if London-based.

The role
You will be the first point of contact and support for the team of Connectors in your Hubs, attending Teachers’ Forums and Get Togethers where possible and helping with the coordination of data gathering and management. You will help drive the promotion of the Connector role and handle any incoming Connector enquiries via the Young Sounds website, allocating them to the appropriate Connector. You will oversee the mentoring and youth voice offer in each Hub. You will be a champion for Young Sounds’ musically inclusive approach throughout the sector and will support the promotion of Young Sounds’ CPD and learning resources, especially the Charanga hosted Individual Learning Plan.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for Partnerships Grant Giving Officer to join our Partnership team. This role is offered on a hybrid-working basis with home working combined with 2 days per week on average in our London, Manchester or Birmingham office (TBC on application).
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation; health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year. It is a truly exciting time to be joining Centrepoint, as we work towards our vision to end youth homelessness by 2037.
About the role
The Grant Officer post will help Centrepoint to develop a grant-giving project as a part of a wider externally funded programme called More Than a Roof. The More Than a Roof programme that is supported by a large corporate partner, is projected to launch in the Autumn 2024 and will last for three years.
At Centrepoint and through the partners we work with, we see vulnerable young people arriving at supported living hostels following periods of rough sleeping, family relationship breakdowns, and a myriad of other traumatic experiences. Initially, Centrepoint wants to transform hostels around the country into homely and safe environments where young people can overcome trauma and receive the specialist support they need to give them a starting point for a happier life. We want to enable our 100 plus partner charities to access funding to implement the More Than a Roof philosophy, through a new grant-giving scheme. Youth homelessness charities would have the opportunity to apply for grants to make the living spaces of young people escaping homelessness, more like homes. This new programme will be the first time that Centrepoint has provided grants to other organisations. It will be an innovation for Centrepoint and one that we will learn from, as we provide vital additional funding for small to medium organisations working with homeless young people across the sector.

- oversee the whole grant-giving process from the launch to communications and outreach; application and selection
- putting forward applications to the Grant Allocations board for approval
- organise the awards and distribute the funding in accordance to policies ensuring it is dispensed to a diversity of organisations across the UK and delivers impactful change for homeless young people
- maintain a grants management system and manage data in line with GDPR and other relevant policies
- establish and build strong relationships with strategic stakeholders and grantees
- monitor and evaluate the impact and success of each grant given by getting grantees to complete required monitoring forms,

Responsibilities:
HR & Operations
● Manage Coney’s operations, resources and materials to ensure our activities and processes are high-quality, fit for purpose and well-managed.
● Support the Directors to engender positive staff relations and good communication throughout the company, those representing it and its networks.
● Oversee Coney’s remote-working and office systems, including IT systems, schedules and other resources, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and cost-effective.
● Manage Coney’s statutory obligations with Companies House, the Charities Commission and other bodies and regulatory authorities, with support from the Directors.
● Maintain regular communication with Coney’s Trustees, ensuring that Board meetings, minutes, reports and information are prepared effectively and on time.

● Reconcile Coney’s bank accounts and input all financial activity into Quickbooks (including income & expenditure, credit cards, expenses, invoices payable, payments received) against the correct budget lines.
● Run payroll (including sending payslips and other pay documents, scheduling salary payments and reporting to HMRC) and ensure pensions, PAYE taxes and National Insurance are calculated and paid on time.
● Create and submit quarterly VAT returns using Quickbooks
Stakeholder Management & Fundraising
● Work alongside the JCEOs to maintain high level contact and dialogue with Coney’s key stakeholders.
● Manage Coney’s Friends scheme and support effective communication with funders.
● Alongside the rest of the core team, identify opportunities for fundraising, commercial projects and consultancy, building relationships and contributing to funding proposals as required.
Marketing & Communications
● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer and Executive Programme Director / JCEO to prepare and execute a marketing and communications plan – strategically positioning Coney’s work across communities and sectors.
● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer to ensure regular communication with Coney networks (newsletters, social media and other relationships) and produce effective communication and ticketing systems for events and projects as required.

ACCT UK launched its new name and brand in 2021 and we are now seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to continue the delivery of our engagement programme. We are looking for you to bring enthusiasm, personal credibility, discretion and sensitivity in promoting the charity to its beneficiaries and a wide range of stakeholder groups.
As ACCT UK’s Marketing Manager, you will be key to helping the wider community to understand our charity and how it is distinct from the Army Cadets, a youth organisation we are closely linked to.
This is a rewarding and flexible role. The position is a permanent full time post (40 hours per week) which can be either home or office based. The successful applicant will be required to travel occasionally. The full time starting annual salary for this post is £34,190.73.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. We want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their Army Cadet experience. We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers in the Army Cadets.
Working alongside our strategic partner, the British Army, we help young people to access cadet activity with the Army Cadets through a range of activities including fundraising, grant making, developing new resources and direct support to the Army Cadets.

We are a small, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people across Surrey. This is a key new role in the Major Relationships unit to support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead in major donor fundraising, an area which has grown in recent years. This locally based post will enhance the prospect pipeline and facilitate the cultivation of major donor prospects, which will help towards meeting the objectives and financial targets for major donor fundraising. The Major Relationships unit works alongside Grants, Corporates & Community as well as Individual Giving, as part of the wider Engagement (fundraising/marketing) team at Eikon.
Responsibilities
1. Research

Identify and prioritise potential major donor prospects in Surrey and beyond, who would be capable of making significant contributions and seem likely to have the propensity to donate i.e. to become major donors.

Produce high quality, tailored and insightful research on major donors.

Look at current supporters (all different types/levels) with good contacts/connections/networks and conduct research in order to suggest ways to reach new high net worth individuals across Surrey.
2. Event organisation/co-ordination
-
Organise/coordinate internal and externally run events such as dinners, drinks receptions, sporting events.

Attend key events - approx. 5 each year and sometimes evenings/weekends – welcoming guests and ensuring a positive experience.

Join the CEO and/or the Major Relationships Lead at specific meetings with MDs/MDPs, occasionally evenings/weekends.
3. Admin
-
Day-to-day support for MDs, MDPs and key influencers (KIs) which could include:

General stewardship including thanking and processing information on Sharepoint and Donorfy (Eikon’s database).

Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates.

Database admin, including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements.

Supporting individuals or small groups who are fundraising for us e.g. how to set up and promote a JustGiving page.
4. Marketing, Communications and relationships

Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials, as well as maximising social media opportunities.

Co-ordinate communications (including distribution) to all MDs/MDPs/KIs eg CEO Update plus Infographic.

Support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead to further develop good relationships with Eikon’s MDs/MDPs/KIs.
5. Strategy

If so, we’d love to work with you to improve the experiences of people using health and social care services in Barnet.
As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. Your flair for planning and logistics will enable you to both gather evidence about the experiences of Barnet residents, and to collate existing data. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.
The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. You will work with these stakeholders constructively and persuasively, to seed partnership initiatives and achieve positive change for Barnet residents.
