The LN comprises 30+ staff working as part of a single team operating across the Methodist Church in Britain. Responsibilities of the Learning Development Manager include:

National Numeracy supports volunteers from our corporate partners to deliver sessions in primary schools
that inspire children to see the value of maths in the real world. The Programme enables volunteers to
directly support communities with low number confidence and skills, celebrating everyday maths, and
developing the building blocks of social mobility in areas of need.

The new Programmes Assistant will work with the Volunteering Manager and wider Programmes Team to
deliver this exciting Programme. The role will involve working with internal team members and external
partners to assist with delivery, including recruitment of volunteers and schools, training of volunteers,
resource delivery and preparation, feedback, data collection and associated admin. The Programmes
Assistant will be the first point of contact for volunteers, schools and partner organisations.

The Role

As a Legal Advisor, you will provide legal support on a wide range of property-related matters across The Royal Parks estate. We have a number of residential and commercial properties that are under licence to third-parties, many of whom in the commercial forum are charities and entities that support The Royal Parks’ objectives, as well as licences for sports grounds, car parks and other properties on Crown land.

Working closely with our Principal Legal Advisor Estates and the Estates and Parks Teams, you will ensure our properties are managed in line with our charitable obligations.

On a day-to-day basis, your work will span the creation, review and negotiation of licences for commercial and residential properties, whilst assisting the Estates and Parks Teams in the management of the estate from a legal perspective.

Your licensing work will also involve works licences within the Parks and in relation to adjoining land where in order to carry out the works access to the Parks is required with resultant retention licences for example, where utility pipes ducts and cables are retained or encroachment licences where there are encroachments from adjoining properties, on under or over the Parks. You will also deal with freebord licences for garden use in connection with adjoining land.

Additionally, you will:

• Interpret legislation and policy, offering clear legal guidance
• Manage external counsel to ensure knowledge is retained internally

About You

The independent gender violence advocate will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children.

The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence). The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. BACKGROUND

Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women's led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by VAWG.

OUR SERVICES

Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.

Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.

We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.

PRIMARY TASK

The post is instrumental in overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive package of services and care for women in our refuges. To provide a safe environment and a service that is appropriate to the needs of young BME women particularly those from South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern communities and to support ex-clients following resettlement.

The post holder will have a caseload of clients and be responsible for providing advice, advocacy, casework and support to women and girls, advocating on behalf of these women and making others aware of their particular needs. StreetGames is a charity passionate about harnessing the power of sport to change the lives of young people and their communities. Through our work with 1,600 trusted local community organisations, StreetGames addresses some of the most pressing issues faced by young people growing up in underserved communities, including poor mental health, food poverty, crime and lack of employment opportunities. We do this by delivering ‘Doorstep Sport’ at the right time, in the right place, in the right style, at the right price and by the right people. Doorstep Sport aims to make sport accessible to everyone regardless of their income and social circumstance.

We are seeking a Network Support Lead (London & South East) to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering Doorstep Sport offers and support for the network of Locally Trusted Organisations based in the region who support young people from low-income communities to be (more) physically active.

The role involves:

• Working closely with the Network Support Team and the London & South East Place Team to implement regional plans, which ensure that projects, offers and support to Locally Trusted Organisations (LTOs) are effective
• Overseeing and directly delivering a range of workshops and courses, creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, interactive and enjoyable learning environment in all delivery
• Delivering support to the workforce within Doorstep Sport beyond the workshop environment through CPD groups, bite-size learning and other opportunities for improving practice
• Co-ordinating the gathering of monitoring and evaluation information for funder reports, in relation to outputs and outcomes of projects delivered across the region/nationally

You will have excellent networking and relationship building skills with the ability to apply these to a range of local and regional organisations.

Overall purpose

The Employment Adviser (EA) plays a key role in supporting refugees and people from refugee backgrounds to progress towards and secure sustainable employment. The EA provides tailored employment advice and guidance, helping clients build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to navigate the UK job market. This role will work with clients at various stages of their employment journey, with a particular focus on those in the earlier stages of understanding career options, developing employability skills, and exploring education, training, and volunteering opportunities.

The EA will deliver one-to-one and group-based employability support, collaborate with employers and volunteers to source opportunities for clients, and maintain strong relationships with referral and support partners to ensure a holistic approach to employment support.
