The supporter relations and engagement manager leads the development and delivery of the charity's engagement and supporter relations strategy across all fundraising programmes, driving meaningful connections with donors of all types. Using data insights to enhance the supporter experience, they ensure exemplary stewardship regardless of how or how much supporters give. They proactively engage diverse stakeholder groups, build strong relationships, and relaunch the volunteer engagement programme to deepen in-person connections with patients. With excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for the cause, they manage a supporter relations and engagement officer and work collaboratively across the Moorfields family to maximise impact and cross-working opportunities.

The selected candidate will have significant experience of working with supporters and donors and will have a thorough detailed knowledge of the voluntary sector. You will have experience and/ or understanding of supporter audiences across the breadth of fundraising programmes. You will have substantial experience of data management and segmentation with a strong understanding of how to use CRM data to inform and improve supporter relations and engagement.

Purpose of the post

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) are recruiting for an Expert by Experience Coordinator to join our supportive and growing team. The Expert by Experience Coordinator is a new role in our small dynamic charity. The postholder will work to ensure the voices and perspectives of individuals with lived experience of asylum and forced migration are integrated into the design and delivery of AFRIL services and policy work. This role involves facilitating communication, promoting co-production, and empowering individuals to share their expertise to improve services and guide policy priorities. 

The post involves coordinating our monthly Members Forum, and working with the core team to feed this into policy and service development, alongside thematic and sometimes practical support to our Allotment Steering Group, Rainbow Club Youth Council and Asylum Hotel Residents Forum. The postholder will develop the AFRIL ambassadors scheme, creating opportunities for former clients to continue to be involved in shaping AFRIL, and work with the Director to develop a governance level co-production structure as agreed with the Board of Trustees. 

We are looking for a good people person, able to engage and inspire others, who demonstrates a collaborative approach to working with a range of stakeholders and in particular AFRIL clients who come from a variety of backgrounds. Small grants for essential items and cash payments for food in emergencies. Securing and distributing gifts in kind, e.g. winter coats, laptops and data. 

• Allotment of Refuge - a welcoming community of food growers that supports improved health, wellbeing and integration of members, whilst protecting the local environment.

Based in Lewisham in South-East London, Sydenham Garden is a unique wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people living with and recovering from mental and physical ill-health. We provide nature and arts based creative, social and therapeutic activities for co-workers (the name we give to our primary beneficiaries).

About the role 

Our Director has been in post since November 2021 and on returning from maternity leave in January 2026 she will be working 3 days a week.  We are seeking a Co-Director to jointly lead the organisation going forwards as we have made a positive decision to move towards a co-director model.  This is an exciting opportunity which can have benefits of increasing capacity, efficiency, and transparency and allow for a broader range of identities both to better reflect the diverse populations they serve and as a way to include more diverse leaders. It is a model that can also reduce burnout, build equity, and support flexible working.

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with a national literacy charity to recruit for a Campaign Officer who will be joining their dedicated team.

About the charity

The charity is dynamic and impactful, dedicated to empowering children, young people, and adults from disadvantaged communities with the literacy skills they need to thrive. With a presence in 20 places in the UK facing the biggest literacy and poverty challenges, the charity works directly with families, schools, nurseries, prisons, and community programmes. Contract: Fixed term until end of January 2027

Salary: £29,000

Location: Hybrid role between home and London office; this role will be contracted to the London office with the majority of work able to be carried out from home

Working as part of a new in-house team, you will use a range of communications and marketing channels to spread key messages among communities and affect behaviours among target demographics. You will build relationships with local and national partners including the media, and manage campaign activities and events. You will also support activity across your team, including preparing copy for newsletters, websites and social media in support of campaign priorities.

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Work with the Campaign Planning Manager to understand campaign goals and target audiences, and develop, tailor and disseminate campaign messaging
• Plan and deliver a regular content schedule for social media pages and other channels working alongside colleagues to decide priorities
• Support online and in-person campaign activation events
• Support management of campaign creative and media agencies
• Write press releases, articles and quotes, working closely with media partners to deliver coverage containing key campaign messaging
• Build relationships and work with local partners, including schools, libraries, early years settings, business, authors and illustrators, cultural partners and key local figures
• Work with the Campaign Manager to develop an evaluation framework for campaign activity and prepare updates for stakeholders and funders
• Monitor and moderate contributions to the campaign website using the content management system
• Proofread and edit content as required

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Recent strong experience in a communication role with campaigning responsibilities
• Experience managing digital and social media accounts
• Working with case studies and beneficiaries to share their story and secure media coverage of their experiences
• Experience of using content management system
• Writing for different audiences/contexts
• Planning, implementing and evaluating campaigns
• Developing key messages aimed at changing consumer behaviours

Merton Winter Night Shelter provides a much-needed emergency shelter for the homeless during the coldest winter months. We offer a warm, safe and respectful place, with a welcoming environment, providing hot food and professional support to those who would otherwise be on street. We offer an opportunity for guests to rest, recharge and be supported into a more sustainable and stable lifestyle. 

We are seeking a part time Project Assistant to work with the Project Coordinator, who leads the project on a permanent basis. Min 6hrs over 3 evenings per week and occasional management meetings outside of the shelter. This would be initially shadowing the Project Coordinator at the different shelter venues and then independently and unsupervised attending venues supporting venue convenors and their volunteers. The hours will include weekends and bank holidays.

Purpose of Job:

· Supporting the Project Coordinator in managing and coordinating the Night Shelter to ensure that all venues give a consistent service to all homeless persons accepted into the shelter, i.e., its guests.

· Standing in for the Project Coordinator in supporting shelter convenors and their volunteers on two evenings per week after initial induction.

· Assisting the Project Coordinator in providing advice and support to help each guest work through the challenges they are facing, recognising that homelessness is often a result of complex and multiple problems.

Responsibilities:

In close consultation with the Project Coordinator to:

· Liaise with the Host Venue Co-ordinators to ensure timely communication and information, particularly in maintaining the Shelter Log Book, to enable the smooth running of the shelter.

· Support guests who are using services for welfare, legal, debt, housing and other specialist issues, where necessary.

· Engage with vulnerable people in a sensitive, empathetic and professional manner.

· To assist in maintaining detailed case records ensuring all sensitive data is adequately protected and handled.

Your role

To lead on trust fundraising at SeeAbility and to grow and diversify trust and foundation income in line with SeeAbility’s aspirations.

Your responsibilities

• Lead on the development and delivery of a trusts strategy, overseeing the whole trusts portfolio, to generate agreed annual targets for SeeAbility.
• Be the charity’s expert in trust fundraising, adopting a data-driven approach, keeping abreast of sector developments and making the business case for change where appropriate.
• Develop and enhance relationships with existing trusts, delivering first-class stewardship, making appropriate and timely applications to secure agreed annual budget and ensuring that all reporting is completed in line with guidelines.

• Manage, support and mentor the Trusts Fundraiser to secure funds from trusts and statutory sources of income. To lead any further expansion of the trust team in the future if the opportunity arises.
• Implement the systems, tools and procedures to proactively identify new funders that align with SeeAbility’s strategy and ethical policy.
• Work across the organisation to generate new and innovative ways to package up SeeAbility’s work to secure funding.
• To be responsible for setting, monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure budgets and key performance indicators
• To be responsible for developing and delivering the annual work plan for trusts fundraising
• Engage staff across the organisation in trust fundraising to support proposal development, reporting and stewardship and to grow the fundraising culture.

• Work closely with fundraising colleagues to cultivate a supportive and collaborative fundraising team.
