The Konrad Adenauer Foundation is a German political foundation, with head offices in Berlin and regional offices in over 100 countries around the world. Our London office - registered as Company Limited by Guarantee - covers the UK and also the Republic of Ireland, is looking to hire an Accountant to work as an essential part of our small team. Our annual programme includes a wide range of events such as panel-discussions, workshops and international conferences and requires liaising with a wide range of partner organisations from politics, academia, business, and the media.
The accountant will be responsible for all accounting and financial planning for our London office.
Duties include:
· Control of office expenditure
· Payment of contractor invoices
· Using KAS internal booking system for accounting and financial administration (training will be provided)
· Prepare monthly accounting reports, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
· Bank reconciliations in GBP & EUR
· Prepare the statutory accounts for the limited company up to trail balance, including accruals, prepayments, deferred income etc.
· Liaise with external auditors to agree timeframe for the year end statutory audit
· Rolling cash flow management
· Manage company payroll in house, expenses and petty cash claims
· Liaising with German HQ on financial topics as well as with local contractors and HMRC
· Companies House secretarial work
· Office management
Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years’ accountancy experience
· Be familiar with current PAYE and pension regulations
· Must have excellent Microsoft Office experience, in particular MS Excel
· Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Native level fluency in English, German language skills desirable

The role and your key responsibilities
As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups.
You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week). Please note you will need to be based in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, or North London for this role.

ROLE SUMMARY
This vital role within the Landmark Trust’s fundraising team focuses on providing excellent supporter care to our donors and ensuring supporter data is well managed. As the first point of contact for fundraising-related enquiries, and the lead user of our database, you will play a key role in delivering a first-class supporter experience while ensuring the efficient operation of our fundraising systems.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in high-quality customer service, with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence in working with data and IT systems. You will be comfortable speaking with supporters on the phone, drafting personalised letters and emails, and managing a variety of administrative tasks. While fundraising experience isn’t essential, you should have experience in customer-facing roles and working with databases. An interest in heritage or the charity sector would be an advantage.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that donations are accurately processed, donors are promptly and warmly thanked, and Gift Aid is maximised. Day-to-day, you’ll be recording donations, updating supporter records, and producing reports and data downloads from our Salesforce CRM. Full training in our systems will be provided.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporter Care
To respond to general fundraising enquiries by telephone, email and in writing, in a professional manner, seeking the guidance of colleagues as to the most appropriate response.
Ensure all donations are thanked and acknowledged quickly and appropriately, by yourself or the relevant contact manager.
Support other aspects of fundraising income administration, such the Patrons, Friends and regular giving schemes, and as required.
Record complaints, escalating as appropriate, and in line with complaints handling policy.
Support the administration of print and digital communications.
Occasionally attend and support the running of fundraising evening receptions, site visits, or new building openings– sometimes held over a weekend (time off in lieu will be given).
Supporter data, analysis and reporting
Record all donations and fundraising transactions on the Salesforce database, liaising with the finance team to provide relevant reports and daybooks for bank reconciliations.
Ensure that supporter contacts and database records are kept up to date and comply with data protection legislation and internal requirements.
Support the Finance team with Gift Aid best practice, including managing the integrity of current Gift Aid records and auditing past records.
Produce Salesforce reports to track donations, appeals, regular gifts, and memberships.
Extract contact data from Salesforce for segmentation, analysis and marketing, including appeals, raffle, event invitations and others, working to a brief from the relevant team member.
Ensure that Salesforce use by the team is continually developed and improved. Work with IT to select, onboard new database products, and hold workshops for team members around developments to maximise use of the supporter database.
Financial management
Administer the collection of all Direct Debit donations including membership payments (Friends & Patrons), regular givers, and Standing Orders.
Maintain the team’s annual income and expenditure monitoring spreadsheets, and project/restricted income monitoring, ensuring accuracy at all times and reconciliation with finance systems.
To be the main point of contact with the Finance team on day-to-day donation queries, including Gift Aid administration, chasing payments, and general donations questions.
Keep physical and electronic supporter filing up to date as required for audit purposes.
Manage the safe and proper handling of, and accounting for, income, to agreed deadlines.
Continually strive to improve margins and reduce costs as well as suggesting improvements in operating processes at a specific and general level.

1. About Chance to Shine
We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.
It is our mission that all young people have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport, developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.
Established in 2005, we have a long-term track record of delivery in state schools and under-served communities, bringing best-in-class cricket programmes to young people aged 5 to 24 who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play. 2. Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a full time (37.5hrs per week) Executive and Office Assistant to support the Finance and Resources team at Chance to Shine. The Finance and Resources team provide day to day support to all departments in the charity and trading subsidiary, Chance to Shine Enterprises Ltd, around finance, office, governance, HR and general administration. The role is expected to be largely in person in our central London office.
3. Key Responsibilities
The Executive and Office Assistant’s responsibilities are in three areas:
Office Administration:
· Act as ‘front of house’ for visitors and guests and be first point of contact for telephone enquiries and ensure the office space is fully operational.
· Monitor the charity inbox and respond to general enquiries.
· Oversee and monitor the Office and Administration budget.
· Liaise with the office landlord, regarding the general office space, car-parking, meeting rooms and staff access.
· Help manage offsite storage space.
· Administer IT support processes, first point of contact for IT support issues and managing IT supplier contracts; and administering staff IT requirements.
· Maintain up to date shared document area on sharepoint.
· Act as Health and Safety Officer responsible for all Health and Safety matters, and attend training as necessary.
Executive Support

About the Role
We are a hardworking organisation, seeking to promote the positive contributions and achievements of young people through the grants we make and the programmes that we run.
We are looking for a dynamic, highly organised, enthusiastic and efficient person to join us to provide effective administrative and database support for the organisation and to help to ensure the smooth running of JPF’s grants programmes. The post holder will be a member of the Operations Team and will be required to work closely with colleagues across the Foundation.
Purpose of Job
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Operations Team at the Foundation, with a focus on maintaining accurate records, coordinating administrative processes and database management, supporting financial operations, and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
This role is essential to the delivery of the Achievement Award Scheme and other JPF grants and programmes.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Operations and Database Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Operations Team.
The primary duties are:
1. Administrative support for JPF’s Achievement Award Scheme and other associated grant programmes
1.1 Support the Operations Officer to prepare and send Achievement Award (AA) materials to all new joiners and organise the general AA mailouts twice a year.
1.2 Manage the JPF general email accounts ensuring that all emails/correspondence are forwarded to the relevant staff member.
2. Database and information management
2.1 Maintain accurate records on JPF systems, particularly the Salesforce database.
2.2 Support the Operations Officer to run periodic data checks on the database and correct identified errors.
2.3 Generate lists and reports from Salesforce, as required, deleting those that are no longer required.
2.4 Assist the Operations Officer with other database tasks e.g. setting up and amending other grant processes in our database such as online application forms, report forms, requirements from grantees, amending email templates, setting up automations, etc.
2.5 Support Head of Operations with maintaining up-to-date organisational policies and procedures.
3. Finance and payment support
3.1 Process weekly payments under the guidance of the Finance and Operations Manager.
3.2 Reconcile company credit cards for senior management approval.
3.3 Ensure that bank details for organisations are correct within Salesforce.
3.4 Respond to general finance enquiries and support the Grants Officers recording returned payments accurately.
4. Programme administration
4.1 Assist in the administration of the Internship Programme, other partnerships, IGFV or Open Grants programmes as required.
4.2 Ensure accurate records of all grant applications and reports for all programmes.
4.3 Lead the coordination and distribution of partner programme materials to JPF partners ahead of the academic year.
4.4 Maintain stock control of all JPF AA materials, advising the Finance and Operations Manager when stock requires replenishment.
5. General IT and administrative duties
5.1 Liaise with JPF’s IT providers to ensure seamless IT support for staff and onboarding/offboarding processes.
5.2 Maintain sufficient office cover and manage staff attendance using the Microsoft Teams calendar.
5.3 Distribute daily post and manage general incoming communications efficiently and update contact information in Salesforce.
5.4 Maintain a tidy and well-functioning office environment, including shared spaces and meeting spaces.
5.5 Organise refreshments and ensure room set-up, including technology requirements, for meetings and events as required.
5.6 Arrange for staff photos to be updated on the staff noticeboard and JPF website.
5.7 Complete stationery orders and ensuring that supplies are maintained.
5.8 Maintain inventory of AA and LA medallions and coordinate reorders with the Events Team.
5.9 Oversee the circulation of staff birthday cards, collections and staff celebrations where required.
6. HR and onboarding support
6.1 Support recruitment administration and onboarding processes, including office set up for new staff.
6.2 Lead induction and office set up for work experience placements and other volunteers or contractors.
6.3 Maintain the JPF telephone directory, ensuring staff mobile numbers are current and accurate.
6.4 Administer DBS checks for new staff as required.
6.5 Monitor Cyber Security Training completion and report non-compliance.
6.6 Purchase the weekly supply of fruit, milk, coffee, tea and other supplies for the JPF kitchen.
7. Other Responsibilities
7.1 Attend and actively contribute to Operations and wider JPF Team meetings.
7.2 Provide telephone and email support to enquirers on JPF funding streams.
7.3 Adhere to the Foundation’s policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Data Protection, and Publicity Consent.
7.4 Provide cover for reception as required.
