This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Fundraising Team at this Global Charity. As the organisation experiences growth in legacy income both within the UK and increasingly across international markets, the Legacy Officer role has been created to support in the pivotal task of enhancing the capacity to manage the caseload of legacies.

The role involves maintaining detailed records, managing data in CRM systems, and supporting income forecasting and reporting. A key part of the role is building strong relationships with executors, solicitors, and internal teams to ensure smooth estate administration.

The role can be PT or FT (please specify on application preference) For those working more than 0.6 FTE, the role also includes supporting legacy marketing campaigns and contributing to international programme development.

Global Health Partnerships (GHP – formerly THET) is a global health charity working in partnership with governments, health institutions, and international bodies to train health workers and strengthen health systems across 31 countries. We do this through grants management and capacity building, alongside research, convening and advocacy towards the goal of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). At the centre of our approach, is the model of Health Partnerships, long-term relationships between UK and low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) health institutions, which improve health services through the reciprocal exchange of skills, knowledge, and experience. At the heart of our work is vision of a world where everyone has access to healthcare.

GHP is seeking a consultant to conduct a study examining the work of GHWP in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. The consultant will lead investigations into the benefits and impact of HP health systems and health workforce interventions under the DHSC-funded GHWP.

This study will explore and examine the value added of the Health Partnership approach to the health systems of the three partner countries.  While the effectiveness and impact of health workforce and health system strengthening interventions have been highlighted through GHWP reports and sharing and learning events in each of the three countries, insights and results have not yet been sufficiently synthesised or documented in a way that supports advocacy, resource mobilisation and policy positioning.

This study will review and examine existing literature and data, including published and grey literature, GHWP reports, reports from other DHSC-funded GHP projects, and other available documentation on the benefits of the Health Partnership model (see Related Papers section). Some primary qualitative data collection and analysis may be required.

Contractual Responsibilities 

Reports to: The Technical Director, based in the UK, who will provide technical oversight of the study. The Consultant will be responsible for managing their workload and conducting the activities in a timely and efficient manner as set out in this document. The Consultant will agree the specific focus areas for the study with the Technical Director and GHP team.  The Consultant will also have regular reporting points with the Head of the Evidence and Impact Team and other GHP colleagues, as required.

The contract will run from August 2025 over a 4-month period. The Consultant will submit a technical proposal and budget of up to £20,000. The consultant will invoice GHP on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Postgraduate degree in Global Health, Public Health, Health Policy, International Development, or a related field.

· Proven experience in health systems and/or health workforce research or evaluation

· Understanding of the health partnership approach/mode, ideally involving countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, or Kenya.

· Familiarity with the health systems in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya.  Additionally, familiarity with the Health Partnership model and the UK’s global health engagement strategies is desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis.

· Ability to critically appraise and synthesise evidence from diverse sources (e.g., programme reports, academic literature, policy documents).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing reports, policy briefs, or academic publications.

· Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, including policy makers, UN agencies, regulatory bodies, academic institutions, development partners, and health workers. Competence in using research tools and software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, Excel, or data visualization platforms).

· Ability to work independently and manage timelines for deliverables.

Desirable Attributes:

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all income and expenditure, including reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, petty cash, and restricted funds.
• Process sales invoices, accounts receivable, and income from multiple platforms (Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal, Fundraise Up, etc.).
• Manage accounts payable including invoice approval workflows, payment runs, and supplier records.

• Reporting and Analysis

• Produce and circulate weekly budget holder reports, resolving any variances or queries.
• Support the Director of Finance and Operations with quarterly management accounts, budget monitoring, and preparation for year-end processes and audits.

• Gift Aid and Compliance

• Submit Gift Aid claims to HMRC and ensure accurate record-keeping in line with charity policy.
• Maintain and update restricted income records and allocation files, ensuring compliance with donor restrictions.

• Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the main finance contact across departments, supporting budget holders with financial queries.

We seek an experienced, proactive adviser to provide expert advice remotely to EU citizens across the UK with occasional face-to-face advice sessions and meetings.

You will hold IAA Level 1 or 2 accreditation and you will be able to manage volunteers to help with service delivery.

Role 1 - Researcher or Senior Researcher (Permanent)

The Fabian Society is hiring a Researcher or Senior Researcher to lead on important, high-impact research projects, engaging directly with the government and stakeholders. You will:

• Develop project ideas and help secure funding from trusts and foundations, unions, charities, businesses and other funders.
• Write research and policy papers.
• Meet with leading politicians, advisors, sector experts and campaigners to discuss your research and debate new policy ideas.
• Write articles for leading media outlets and seek coverage and broadcast opportunities for your work.
• Represent the society and present your research at events and conferences.

We will look favourably on certain policy specialisms but we also value candidates who can become experts quickly. We are particularly interested in people who have expertise in housing, employment rights, social security, energy and climate, tax, public spending and macroeconomic policy. Role 2 - Research Assistant (Fixed Term 12 Month Contract)

The Fabian Society is also hiring a Research Assistant on a 12-month development contract to support the new Fabian Housing Centre, as well as wider projects across the research team. 

You will undertake a wide range of activities, and contribute to the development of high-quality research reports, working closely with our Research Manager and Head of the Fabian Housing Centre.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.   

We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.  

We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.

We are recruiting Senior Employment Advisors to join the STEP team delivering this new programme, working directly with participants who have specialist careers. The Senior Employment Advisors will have expertise in one or more of the following areas of recruitment: education, accounting and finance, health, and IT.

You will prepare participants for competitive employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives in line with their previous career. You will provide an exemplary level of support to STEP participants working towards a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of participants including successful completion of training courses, voluntary and work placements, and achieving and sustaining paid employment. 

The Senior Employment Advisors will work remotely and can be based anywhere in the UK.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience or knowledge within the employment sector
• Experience of support and recruitment into one or more of the following sectors: education, accounting and finance, health, and IT.
• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by unemployed people to finding work, including those whose first language is not English
• Knowledge of adult learning/vocational training
• Experience of delivering 1:1 advice and guidance and supervising a case load of clients
• Experience delivering workshop activities around job search, work readiness and information, advice and guidance
• Experience of business engagement/intervention to facilitate access to placement and job opportunities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Cross-cultural sensitivity
• Good admin and IT skills (CRM database, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Advanced level of English
• Competency in Cantonese or Ukrainian would be desirable

You will play a key role in delivering customer service and supporting volunteers, as well maintaining the look and feel of the shop and processing stock. You will work towards ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.

This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. You will work collaboratively with your team and will have opportunities to build your own skills and career progression.

To be successful in this role you will have significant retail or customer service experience alongside a genuine interest in charity retail. You will be seeking a challenge that stands out from other retail roles and will be looking to build a career in this sector.
