This role of Reinvestment and Retrofit Works Project Manager is essential to improving our housing stock quality and reducing carbon emissions. Other Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Senior Project Manager in ensuring refurbishment/retrofit programmes meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and programme schedules.
• Overseeing the design, procurement, and delivery of refurbishment/retrofit projects.
• Build relationships with partner organisations, including the GLA, Homes England, and Local Authorities.
• Managing projects and contracts for reinvestment/retrofit initiatives.
• Contributing to organisational strategies in reinvestment, safety, PIE (psychologically informed environments), and sustainability.

This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

To succeed you should demonstrate the below:

• Qualified in the built environment (RIBA, RICS, CIOB) with experience managing reinvestment and retrofit programmes, budgets, and stakeholders (e.g., QS, Architect, Contractor), ideally in social housing or local authority.
• Skilled in financial appraisal, risk management, value-driven efficiency, and transformational change.
• Experience in design development, environmental standards, and working with Retrofit Coordinators, Assessors, and Designers.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced project management expertise or certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP).
• Knowledge of funding applications for retrofit and decarbonisation projects, and construction/technical expertise, including JCT, Building Regulations, and related legislation.

In 2025, BIAS is expanding its successful Brent-based welfare and housing advice service into Haringey borough. Staff management

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. About you 

Our ideal candidate is a great communicator, with experience in content planning, social media content creation and management, newsletter copywriting, website management, and graphic design. They should be well-versed in crafting narratives for a variety of audiences and outputs, and managing an organisational communications calendar.

The role 

Key components of the role include: 

1. Social media content development - collaborate with internal subject specialists to produce consistent and frequent on-brand written and visual content for social channels, in support of brand and advocacy goals. You’ll use Canva and Adobe Creative Suite and AgoraPulse for this. 

2. Content briefing - craft high-quality creative briefs (for copy, design, multimedia) to be followed by internal staff or external suppliers where required.

3. Email - develop, write and send UnitedGMH’s regular email newsletter, working with internal staff to source news, updates and relevant content tailored for email subscribers.

4. Website development - develop, maintain and update content for UnitedGMH and GMHAN websites, including uploading content and editing pages.

5. Video and audio production: Develop consistent, platform-appropriate video and audio content streams, from short-form videos to the creation of new podcasts.

6. Social media channel and community management - lead on day-to-day management and posting on UnitedGMH and GMHAN social media channels, including X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Instagram. Manage paid social campaigns where required. Use monitoring tools to manage social media comments (organic and paid), as well as newsletter email replies.

7. Brand guardian: Be a firm steward of UnitedGMH and GMHAN brands, helping to ensure consistent application of visual identity and tone of voice across all external organisational outputs, maintaining high standards of design.

8. Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting - create regular analytic reports for social and email channels with data-driven recommendations as to how outputs can be continuously improved. 

9. Editorial planning and communications calendar management - lead on the maintenance, updating and adjusting of the organisation’s communications calendar, to drive consistent, planned-in-advance content across channels in support of brand building and key advocacy moments. 

10. Team support - support the communications team through project management, meeting management, processing supplier invoices, keeping journalist lists up-to-date, and other responsibilities where needed. 

Requirements 

• Understanding, and experience in use, of online channels (incl. website content management systems (CMS) such as Wordpress and Squarespace, a broad spectrum of social media platforms and email marketing through Mailchimp) 

• An excellent copywriter, with demonstrable experience crafting copy for different audiences - including for social media and email newsletters

• Strong research and proofreading skills, adapted to key audiences

• Comfortable prioritising and delivering on multiple pieces of work against tight timeframes

• Highly organised individual with experience of team administration support 

• A “doer”- ability to anticipate requirements and act to provide workable solutions with limited budget 

• A good knowledge of CRM systems.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Project Manager to lead the AQS Access Pathway Project, funded by City Bridge Foundation. This newly created role will be responsible for redesigning and updating the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and developing a new progression-based Access Pathway for advice services.

This is a fixed-term role, with funding secured for a minimum of 36 months. You will work closely with our Deputy Director and a wide range of stakeholders to successfully deliver a new version of AQS and its accompanying framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and deliver the AQS Access Pathway Project in collaboration with the ASA Deputy Director.

• Convene and facilitate a Project Advisory Group comprising ASA members and key stakeholders.

• Engage with external stakeholders including auditing and accrediting bodies such as AgeUK, Citizens Advice, Welsh Government, and the Money and Pensions Service.

• Promote and communicate the project to advice services, funders, and wider voluntary sector audiences.

• Oversee project monitoring and evaluation, including data collection and reporting to ASA’s Board and funders.

In this role, you’ll manage multi-sport capital and revenue investment plans, build strong relationships with NGBs, County FAs, and delivery teams, and lead the development of a robust volunteer Groundskeeper strategy. The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
