We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Project Worker to support and sustain the Mockingbird programme across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with fostering services, making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people in care.

Position: Project Worker – Mockingbird
Salary: £32,480 – £37,555 per annum (plus London weighting if applicable)
Location: Home base in the North of England/Midlands with travel required throughout the UK.
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

About the Role

As a Mockingbird Project Worker, you will play a vital role in expanding and embedding the Mockingbird model—a ground-breaking, evidence-informed approach to foster care. You will provide direct support and quality assurance to fostering services, helping them implement, grow, and sustain Mockingbird constellations.

You will:

• Deliver remote and in-person support, training, and guidance to local fostering teams.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with delivery partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure quality assurance through coaching, ongoing assessment, and resource development.
• Contribute to the design of training content and programme events.
• Represent the Mockingbird programme internally and externally, championing its benefits and impact.
• Support the operational delivery of the programme across the UK.

 Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Executive Support

• Provide administrative support to the Executive Team, including coordinating internal and external meetings.
• Support the creation, proofreading, and formatting of key documents.
• Organise and maintain shared filing systems (e.g. SharePoint, Teams).
• Assist with financial administration, including supporting payroll, processing expenses, and maintaining accurate records of payments and invoices.

Board and Governance Logistics

• Schedule and coordinate Board and committee meetings.
• Prepare and circulate Board papers and meeting minutes and assist with tracking actions and deadlines from board meetings.
• Maintain up-to-date trustee contact records.

 Grants and Events Support

• Support administration and logistics for events hosted by the foundation, including key strategic and community events at the stadium. 
• Coordinate the Foundation’s Community Box, e.g scheduling bookings and liaising with guests, security and hospitality teams at the stadium. 
• Maintain accurate records and trackers for grants, procurement and partnerships, maintaining organised systems for storing information. 

 Office & Systems Coordination

• Take responsibility for office systems, supplies, and IT support. Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day queries relating to office systems, supplies, and IT support.
• Act as a helpful first point of contact for enquiries to the foundation. 
• Maintain central database for the foundation.

Job Title: Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Housing IGVA)

The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:

· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues 

· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on 

· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis 

· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation 

· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager 

The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.

The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Progression Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work with a caseload of around 20 women, providing personalised, trauma-informed support throughout their two-year journey with us. This includes guidance across key areas such as employment, finances, relationships, housing, and overall wellbeing.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provide individual support and build trusting relationships with our trainees, proactively arranging face to face and online support sessions, attending appointments with them and tracking their progression.
• Offer person-centred holistic support to trainees to become independent, using our ‘Independence Tracker’ and other assessment tools to assess their needs and set targets on a regular basis.
• Liaising with trainees and the training team to help 80% of graduates to complete a minimum of 80% of their vocational training. 
• Support women to complete the mentoring programme by proactively liaising with the Partnerships & Evaluation manager. 
• Support trainees to apply for employment opportunities and prepare for interviews to achieve positive work outcomes. 
• Support trainees during the apprenticeship process in Luminary cafe or bakeries, and support them with attending work experience days both at Luminary and at other external partners. 
• Liaise effectively with other agencies involved in the care of trainees to ensure their needs are sufficiently met. This includes attending meetings with external agencies and advocating on behalf or alongside women.
• Respond quickly to safeguarding concerns, reporting appropriately to the Luminary Safeguarding Officer and the local council as necessary, supporting the individual appropriately through the process.
• Keep detailed records of all case-working according to best practice and aid in safeguarding,  monitoring and evaluation. 
• Build relationships with local services relevant for signposting service users to, connecting women with opportunities in line with their support plan (eg specialist services, work experience, additional courses).
• Provide support to women in the Luminary training classroom during Phase 2 employment workshops to get the most out of the learning environment
• Deliver or facilitate group sessions including bi-weekly wellbeing workshops & support organising alumni events such as Christmas Party, Independence Party and Graduation. 
• Champion Luminary’s holistic understanding of wellbeing, which recognises the spiritual needs of those recovering from trauma. 
• Assist the Senior Leadership Team in evaluating the services Luminary offers to report to funders, assist with completing new funding applications and internal monitoring.
• Contribute your experience of best practice to shape the way Luminary operates effectively
• Support with any other tasks as needed by the PSW manager and to contribute towards team efforts for the effective working of Luminary

Global Health Partnerships (GHP – formerly THET) is a global health charity working in partnership with governments, health institutions, and international bodies to train health workers and strengthen health systems across 31 countries. We do this through grants management and capacity building, alongside research, convening and advocacy towards the goal of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). At the centre of our approach, is the model of Health Partnerships, long-term relationships between UK and low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) health institutions, which improve health services through the reciprocal exchange of skills, knowledge, and experience. At the heart of our work is vision of a world where everyone has access to healthcare.

GHP is seeking a consultant to conduct a study examining the work of GHWP in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. The consultant will lead investigations into the benefits and impact of HP health systems and health workforce interventions under the DHSC-funded GHWP.

This study will explore and examine the value added of the Health Partnership approach to the health systems of the three partner countries.  While the effectiveness and impact of health workforce and health system strengthening interventions have been highlighted through GHWP reports and sharing and learning events in each of the three countries, insights and results have not yet been sufficiently synthesised or documented in a way that supports advocacy, resource mobilisation and policy positioning.

This study will review and examine existing literature and data, including published and grey literature, GHWP reports, reports from other DHSC-funded GHP projects, and other available documentation on the benefits of the Health Partnership model (see Related Papers section). Some primary qualitative data collection and analysis may be required.

Contractual Responsibilities 

Reports to: The Technical Director, based in the UK, who will provide technical oversight of the study. The Consultant will be responsible for managing their workload and conducting the activities in a timely and efficient manner as set out in this document. The Consultant will agree the specific focus areas for the study with the Technical Director and GHP team.  The Consultant will also have regular reporting points with the Head of the Evidence and Impact Team and other GHP colleagues, as required.

The contract will run from August 2025 over a 4-month period. The Consultant will submit a technical proposal and budget of up to £20,000. The consultant will invoice GHP on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable.

Key Deliverables and Dates 

· Scope of Work and technical proposal (co-produced with GHP)

· Draft Report 

· Power point presentation with preliminary findings

· Evidence brief of key findings and recommendations

· Preliminary findings to be ready to present in early-November as part of GHP’s webinar series

· Final report, with executive summary submitted by 30 November 2025

· Possible additional presentation of results at the Global Health Summit in March 2026 (TBC)

Qualifications and Experience:

· Postgraduate degree in Global Health, Public Health, Health Policy, International Development, or a related field.

· Proven experience in health systems and/or health workforce research or evaluation

· Understanding of the health partnership approach/mode, ideally involving countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, or Kenya.

· Familiarity with the health systems in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya.  Additionally, familiarity with the Health Partnership model and the UK’s global health engagement strategies is desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis.

· Ability to critically appraise and synthesise evidence from diverse sources (e.g., programme reports, academic literature, policy documents).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing reports, policy briefs, or academic publications.

· Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders, including policy makers, UN agencies, regulatory bodies, academic institutions, development partners, and health workers. Competence in using research tools and software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, Excel, or data visualization platforms).

· Ability to work independently and manage timelines for deliverables.

Desirable Attributes:

· Experience working with or through organisations like Global Health Partnerships (formerly THET), NHS Global Health Partnerships, or UK FCDO-funded programmes.

· Knowledge of health workforce development frameworks and global health diplomacy.

You will coordinate your volunteers to deliver reading sessions via Zoom three times a week to children up to the age of 12 . You will be responsible for coordinating volunteers and families across all projects, being ‘on call’ for any issues that may arise, and stepping in to reading sessions where needed. You will provide support for volunteers within and outside of the sessions as well as responding to needs of the families.

ABOUT THE POLITICS PROJECT

We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK. 

We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections. 

The Politics Project delivers Digital Dialogue: Wales, which supports young people to have meaningful conversations with the politicians that represent them, building trust and relationships on both sides. Young people gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to engage in the democratic process through informed interactions with their elected representatives. 

These interactions take place both online and in-person, in classrooms across Wales. 

Since 2021 over 5550 young people, 130 teachers and 130 Welsh politicians (including the leaders of four political parties represented in the Senedd) have taken part in the programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Programme Coordinator will plan, arrange and facilitate Dialogue sessions, where learners question and discuss issues relevant to young people with their political representatives. The post holder will also support schools and colleges to deliver Youth Hustings for the 2026 Senedd and 2027 Local elections, giving learners the opportunity to meet, and ask questions to, candidates standing in their area.

The Politics Project wants Digital Dialogue: Wales to fundamentally change the way that young people and politicians interact across Wales. Help us to make sure that young people get their voices heard.

Working with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead, the post holder would support the delivery and growth of Digital Dialogue: Wales, allowing more young people, teachers and politicians to take part. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team. 

While fluency in Welsh is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role.

The post holder will:

• Work with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead to support the delivery of the Digital Dialogue: Wales programme.
• Provide online, and occasional in-school, support for teachers delivering Digital Dialogue, Youth Hustings, teacher and politician training sessions.
• Support the recruitment of teachers and local and national politicians across Wales to take part in the programme.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with those teachers and politicians.
• Manage and keep up to date the database, collecting and inputting information and producing reports when required. Assist with monitoring and evaluation.
• Provide administrative support for the Digital Dialogue: Wales programme and other programmes and activities delivered by The Politics Project.

The Politics Project is based in London, but the post holder for this role will be based in Wales. They will usually work from home, though we would expect the post holder to come to the London office once a month and attend in person meetings in Wales as required. It is an 18-month contract (including a 6-month probation period), with extension possible subject to funding. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required.
