As our Medical Operations Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations run efficiently and strategically enabling our medical teams to deliver maximum impact in cardiovascular science and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Planning & Performance Insight: Work with the Portfolio Manager to gather and analyse data that informs strategic planning and performance tracking. Help develop planning materials and monitor progress.
• Cross-Directorate Collaboration: Work with colleagues across Research, Health, and other Directorates to support the successful delivery of BHF’s strategy.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain accurate organisational charts, distribution lists, and communication channels. Support onboarding of new staters by managing clear, informative resources.

This is a high-impact role where your operational delivery will help align planning, performance, and ensuring the right decisions are made and implemented effectively.

About you

You’ll be confident, highly organised with a strong background in administration, project coordination, and operational delivery. You'll also be used to working at pace, managing competing priorities, and keeping things on track with precision and calm.

With experience coordinating meetings and events, managing complex diaries, and supporting senior leaders—ideally at Director level, you'll be adept at handling sensitive information and skilled in supporting the preparation of agendas and meeting notes with input from both internal and external stakeholders.

Digitally fluent, you’ll be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce high-quality documents reports, and presentations. With a sharp analytical mindset and keen attention to detail, you'll also have experience of interpreting data and translating it into clear, insightful reports that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

A natural collaborator and excellent relationship builder, able to influence effectively and align stakeholders around shared goals, you'll bring strong organisational skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Working arrangements

This is initially a 14-month fixed term contract with the potential to be extended for longer. 

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

What you'll do:

Behaviour Analysis:

- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour.
- You are responsible in planning appropriate intervention to modify and resolve the behaviour.
- You require superb interpersonal and relationship skills and must have the capacity to handle psychologically behavioural changes.

Other Responsibilities:

- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker.
- Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises.
- Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift.
- Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed.
- Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g., accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities.
- Report any observations relating to customers welfare.
- Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements.
- Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are always adhered to.
- Maintain records as required at the project under the direction of the support workers / management.
- Participate in team meetings/reviews and the general development of the service.
- Maintain records in accordance with Look Ahead's Information Management policies, procedures and guidance under the direction of the Support Worker's manager(s). Keep a clear desk at all times and assist with archiving and secure disposal of records when required.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned.

About the role

This is a great chance to be a part of a service working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield to identify and support women who are identified as being neurodiverse or presenting with symptoms of neurodiversity and will be returning to the community. The Neurodiversity Lead will focus support on women with a neurodivergent need and improve their transition into the community, with ongoing community support; including collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop their support plans.

The Lead will work in a multi-disciplinary way, including attending the weekly complex case meeting and/or the Safety Intervention Meeting (SIM) as appropriate, they will act as a specialist member of the wider Advance Criminal Justice Service - London team, to facilitate a pathway for women with complex needs including mental health and neurodiversity needs. The Neurodiversity Lead will accept referrals from the Advance Criminal Justice Community team and prison services, and will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. They will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling to support them to address their needs and any risks. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women.

The Neurodiversity Lead will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service (1-2 day per week) in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You

To be successful as the Neurodiversity Lead you will need the below experience and skills:

An excellent understanding of mental health, neurodiversity needs violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system

You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

BACCH Education and Training Administrator

The BACCH Education and Training Administrator is a newly created role supporting the British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH), a specialty group of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. This role will take the lead on setting up and delivering educational courses and events for clinicians working in Community Child Health, including webinars, regional events, and the BACCH Annual Scientific Meeting.

Reporting to the BACCH Executive Officer, you will coordinate the development of a structured education and training offer, manage logistics for online and in-person courses, and support initiatives such as trainee-led learning and paid short courses. You will also support BACCH’s six affiliated specialist groups with administrative and event coordination as needed.

The role requires a highly organised and self-motivated individual with experience in event planning, digital platforms, and administrative systems. You’ll also maintain contact databases, filing systems, and internal procedures, while providing occasional cover for the wider team.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting educational events or working in professional membership organisations, along with strong communication, planning and IT skills. A background in healthcare, training, or children’s services and knowledge of website or budget management is desirable
