The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility of, and driving registrations to, the Holocaust Educational Trust’s programmes with schools across England. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility of, and driving registrations to, the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Department for Education funded ‘Supporting Survivor Testimony in Teaching’ initiative – specifically supporting a drive to engage and register schools, ensuring schools across England are inspired to take part through compelling and effective marketing and communications. The post’s work ensures that schools across the UK are inspired to engage with our programmes, building long term and ongoing relationships.
Key responsibilities
All of the responsibilities below are achieved by working closely with the Trust’s programmes team and with the various external MarComms agencies that provide support to the Trust, ensuring that a programme of compelling content and campaigns is shared across email, social media, and web platforms, all designed to inspire teachers and school staff to engage in our programmes and initiatives. As our in-house link to the MarComms agency, you will:
- Support with the development and implementation of an integrated marketing plan, which will drive school engagement, and will translate in to school registration on to the government funded ‘Supporting Holocaust Survivor Testimony in Teaching’ initiative.
- Ensure that a programme of compelling content and campaigns is shared across email, social media, and web platforms, all designed to inspire teachers and school staff to engage in HET’s programmes, translating into school registrations
- Work with colleagues across the Trust, as well as agencies, to ensure that HET’s communications channels are effectively coordinated in line with a shared marcomms calendar
- Support the creation and management of marketing content and messaging across platforms, including website, social media, email newsletters, blog posts, sector press and other.
- Produce engaging marketing materials, press releases, case studies and reports to promote programmes’ impact and inspire engagement.
- Identify new sources of educational contacts, to build the Trust’s database and increase visibility of our marketing materials.
- Build relationships with media contacts, stakeholders, and partners to maximise PR opportunities.
- Provide accurate information regarding engagement to enable the preparation of reports, including reports to donors and funders including government, as well as to the Board of Trustees; and undertake analysis to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in the effectiveness of marketing activities
- Monitor marcomms delivery against KPIs regularly, ensuring stats are kept up to date and flagging in advance if there is a chance of not meeting a KPI.
- Ensure marketing and communications are delivered in line with responsibilities related to data protection including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and that GDPR is part of programme planning across all programmes.

Job Purpose
Within the National Influencing & Networks team, the Digital Communications Officer is responsible for delivering core communications functions. About Cosmic
Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, and pioneering research. We also deliver our own emotional and practical family support services - making a real difference for children and families when they need it most.

The Role
This role will play a crucial part in supporting a wide range of fundraising, marketing, and communications activities for Cosmic. As a key member of the Income Generation team, the individual will help raise vital funds and awareness that enable and enhance the charity’s work, whilst also contributing to the delivery of effective marketing and communications that promote our impact and engage our audiences.
This role requires someone with a genuine interest in working across multiple fundraising areas — from corporate partnerships and community fundraising to individual giving, events and challenges, trusts and foundations, event support for Cosmic led events, and in-memory and legacy giving. You will bring strong organisational, communication, and creative skills to support activity across these streams. In addition, you will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop engaging social media content, enhance brand visibility, and contribute to impactful digital and supporter communications across all of Cosmic’s channels.
This varied and dynamic role will include research, administration, planning, content creation, and creative thinking. You will support the delivery of fundraising activities, events, initiatives, and campaigns, as well as contribute to marketing efforts such as social media, email newsletters, website updates, and storytelling. A key part of the role will be ensuring our supporters, donors, and online audiences receive high-quality, consistent, and engaging communications. With the wider team’s support, the role will also aid the growth of new corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising and income generation support
- Working alongside and supporting members of the Income Generation team, gaining a better understanding of the various fundraising and income generation activities.
- Be a key contact for fundraising enquiries.
- Collation and sending of information, including fundraising materials, to potential and current supporters and advising on queries relating to fundraising.
- Support the organisation, planning, promotion, and delivery of fundraising, stewardship and other events.
- Ensure that all fundraising activity operates with the Fundraising Regulator’s guidelines, code of practice and GDPR practices.
- Identify and support opportunities to raise awareness of the charity including giving presentations, attending meetings and local events.
- Aid the growth of individual giving programmes, including regular giving, one-off donations, and donor stewardship journeys.
- Assist in researching, writing, and submitting grant applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
- Maintain accurate donor records using the charity’s CRM system, Donorfy, and ensure data is up to date, accurate, compliant, relevant and reportable.

TAG Youth Club, an award-winning charity and a youth club open to children, young people and young adults, whatever their disability. About the Role
This role will lead Media Trust’s climate work. As Senior Programme Manager, you will run our flagship Communicating Climate programme and lead Media Trust’s work on the Diverse Voices programme. You will help us further develop our climate work and ensure our existing programmes are cutting edge and meet the demands of this moment.
This role will directly manage our Communicating Climate programme. The Senior Programme Manager will build on the success of the past five years of the programme and further develop the programme content and structure to maximise impact for participating organisations. With support from a programme co-ordinator, you will ensure the smooth delivery of the programme, including recruiting and managing a cohort of climate organisations; overseeing the budget and timeline; managing our relationships with funders, trainers and partners; and impact evaluation and reporting.

Your line manager will be Media Trust’s Head of Charity Services and the role will sit within our charity services team. This Senior Programme Manager role does not currently have any direct line management responsibilities.
Please note that whilst this is a remote role, the Media Trust team meets in-person in London on a monthly basis and regular travel to London for meetings and events is required.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management of our climate programmes, including:

Lead our Communicating Climate programme, ensuring it is high quality, innovative and tailored to the needs and priorities of climate and environmental organisations

Recruit and build successive new cohorts of climate charities, user-led organisations and community groups, supporting them through the programme to ensure high levels of engagement and collaboration

Recruit and work with trainers and climate experts to develop engaging, practical and tailored training content, activities and resources
-
Plan and ensure the smooth delivery of all activities (including training, workshops, peer to peer networking sessions and other events), ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and lead to planned outcomes

Work with Media Trust’s media and creative industry partners to develop tailored training, mentoring and digital resources for the climate and environment sector

Manage the Advisory Group for Communicating Climate, which is comprised of leading media organisations, climate charities and sector experts, coordinating regular meetings, building relationships with members and facilitating opportunities for the Advisory Group to shape and input into the direction of the programme

Manage relationships with our key programme and sector partners including Climate Outreach, Heard and others, build relationships with a wide range of sector organisations

Work with media industry partners to design and deliver activities for volunteers from leading media and creative agencies to provide pro bono strategic communications support to climate charities

Manage the programme budget and financial reporting

Lead on the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the programme, ensuring impact is evidenced by high quality data and producing impact reports

Maintain up to date knowledge of trends and developments in the climate and strategic communications space and embed these insights into the programme content

Share key learnings and best practice across our thematic programmes (our other thematic programme is the Stronger Voices Programme).

Support the Head of Charity Services with securing grant and other funding for new thematic strategic communications programmes and climate work, contributing to the development of future programmes and funding applications

Collaborate with our MarComms team to craft compelling copy for various platforms including web, e-marketing, and social media channels

Harris Hill is working with a London based charity, who is partnering with Harris Hill to find them a Head of Communications who can start ASAP, for 6 to 12 months, on a full time basis.
We’re looking for someone with strong internal communications experience as well as leadership skills, the team have been through a lot of change and require someone who can pull them together, but also, have a lot of internal changes being planned with an internal communications strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deliver Communications strategy to deliver strategic objectives, in particular to raise our profile and improve understanding and reach of our work.
Lead, motivate and manage the Communications team to ensure delivery of the strategy and support the professional development of individual team members.
Work with the branch network where needed to act as liaison with regional and local media outlets to ensure PR opportunities are maximised
Act as the main POC for crisis comms planning with support from Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications (DFMC) and Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications (DDMC)
Act as the main POC for the crisis comms risk register and work with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure this is kept updated.
Ensure media training needs across the organisation are met and that anyone being interviewed by a media outlet is appropriately briefed and coached.
Accountable for the development, delivery and evaluation of the internal and change communications strategy that engages, motivates and informs employees and volunteers, ensuring organisations vision, mission, values and Standards remain at the forefront of delivery
Manage relationships with the organisations Celebrity Ambassadors as well as source new ones
Respond to political engagement requests where necessary.
Ensure that the senior management team is kept up to date with the latest relevant developments in national and regional government
Ensure that any crises which affect the wider sector are coordinated with counterparts at other organisations.
Consult on policy documents and coordinate the response from across the senior management team.
Manage the out of hours press office ensuring that there is the opportunity for the organisations network to speak to a press officer 24/7
Promote, maintain and protect brand, specifically supporting the branch network with reputational management issues and complaints as they arise
Ensure that any PR and digital communications and social media channels are aligned, appropriate and ‘on point’, helping to create relevant, integrated and timely messaging for their content
Plan, monitor and control budgets and resources to achieve agreed objectives
Work closely with the Head of Marketing, Head of Design, Head of Supporter Engagement, and wider teams to develop impactful, integrated campaigns which deliver joint objectives as part of the wider marketing and communications strategy.
Develop strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation and with key external stakeholders and partners.
Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget and achieve agreed evaluation metrics.
