The Role
We’re on the lookout for a Digital Marketing Volunteer to help shape our online presence and grow a vibrant, engaged community of changemakers. You'll have real ownership, creative freedom, and the chance to help us scale something meaningful.

We know that exercise releases happy endorphins that support us to improve our mood. We are recruiting volunteers to coordinate and facilitate fitness and general wellbeing sessions online!

What you will be doing

• Design session plans which will enable group members to increase fitness and their general well-being
• Able to recognise the needs of beginners and mixed age/ability groups
• Ensure that everyone taking part has completed a health and wellbeing form, which includes referring those with existing health issues to their GP
• Keep a record of attendees, provide feedback, and report any concerns to the staff team

• A skilled and qualified Fitness Instructor

• Willing to participate in supervision and to liaise with Hestia staff as required

The Trustees of Omega are volunteers who lead and manage the charity, ensuring it is well-run and achieves its purposes. They are responsible for the charity's governance, strategy, and overall direction, making decisions that impact the charity's beneficiaries and the wider community. Trustees are ultimately responsible for the charity's legal and financial well-being, and they must act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.

Our trustees are the guardians of the charity, responsible for ensuring it is well-managed, financially sound, and fulfilling its charitable purposes for the benefit of its beneficiaries and the wider community. We look for trustees who have a particular area of experience or skillset so we have a good range of professional expertise represented across the board of trustees at any point in time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Governance and Strategic Direction: Trustees set the charity's strategic aims and direction, plan and review its work, and make decisions about its activities and resources.
• Financial Oversight: Trustees are responsible for the charity's finances, ensuring they are managed responsibly and used to support the charity's purposes.
• Compliance and Legal Duties: Trustees ensure the charity complies with its governing document, relevant laws, and regulations.
• Accountability: Trustees are accountable to donors, regulators, beneficiaries, and the public, ensuring the charity is transparent and operates ethically.
• Safeguarding: Trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity has appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures in place to protect vulnerable individuals.
• Risk Management: Trustees must identify and manage potential risks to the charity, including financial, reputational, and operational risks.

Qualities we are looking for in our Omega Trustees:

• Commitment: Trustees are volunteers and must be committed to the charity's mission and goals.
• Good Judgment: Trustees need to be able to make sound decisions based on available information and their understanding of the charity's needs.
• Integrity and Honesty: Trustees must act with integrity and honesty, putting the charity's interests first.
• Understanding of Governance: Trustees need to understand their responsibilities and the principles of good governance.
• Communication and Collaboration: Trustees need to be able to communicate effectively with other trustees, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Time commitment: Flexible (at least 2-4 hrs a month during active months)

What we're looking for

We're looking for enthusiastic, approachable and fun-loving people to be event volunteers, linked to our Sudbury Team. Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn't continue doing what we do without them. That means, our community fundraising volunteers play a really important part in rallying people together to raise vital funds which help to protect children and prevent abuse.

What you'll do

You'll kindly volunteer your time at Sudbury's fundraising events to help raise vital funds for the NSPCC. You could be selling raffle tickets, supporting a collection, making tea and coffee at a lunch or coffee morning or providing support to one of Sudbury's annual 
events. You will engage with the public, organisations and the local community – promoting a positive image of the NSPCC! We'd particularly like to hear from you if your workplace run a matched funding scheme alongside your attendance at a fundraising event.

You'll work closely with your regional Community Fundraising Manager and the Sudbury Team who can provide you with a choice of events to attend. This role offers the opportunity to build your personal skills and raise your profile in your community. It is flexible, you only need to commit to a couple of hours a month but you can do more if you would like to.

At the event, we'll support you with guidance, advice, and tools to help you fundraise and spread the word of the NSPCC. You'll learn more about how you're helping to protect children across the UK, and you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and inspire others to support us.

Across the UK, our 270 local groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS. They provide sense of belonging, unity and friendship. And they deliver services and support for their local MS community.

We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for our Ross-shire group. As our local Group Coordinator you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct and support other group volunteers to make sure your group’s activities meet the needs of your local MS community. In this role you’ll be able to develop your leadership, management, communication, organisation and motivation skills. 

Time Commitment

We estimate this role will need around 5 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email. Ideally you’ll understand the local area and organisations that provide local services.

You will be reliable and easy to contact and you need to live in or near the Ross-shire area to carry out this role.

We work tirelessly to promote inclusivity, celebrate trans joy, and advocate for access to vital services through campaigns across fashion, arts, beauty, and beyond.

We are seeking a motivated Partnerships & Outreach Volunteer to help us build strong, meaningful relationships with other charities, nonprofits, and community groups. This role will support collaborative projects and campaigns, strengthening our impact and extending our reach.

Job Summary

The Partnerships & Outreach Volunteer will focus on identifying, developing, and maintaining collaborative relationships with external organisations. This role will help Trans Celebration create opportunities for joint initiatives, shared campaigns, and resource exchange, ensuring we are working collectively to achieve greater impact for the trans community.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential partner charities, nonprofits, and community organisations.

• Reach out to potential partners to explore opportunities for collaboration.

• Support the planning and coordination of joint campaigns, events, or projects.

• Maintain a database of partner contacts and track ongoing collaborations.

• Act as a liaison between Trans Celebration and partner organisations.

• Assist in preparing partnership proposals, presentations, or reports.

• Represent Trans Celebration in meetings, networking events, or collaborative forums (where appropriate).

What are we looking for?

We are looking for reliable and hands-on volunteers to support the organisation and running of our annual Festival of Trees event! Christmas is a crucial time of year for the NSPCC and this event is a magical way to bring people together, promote the importance of the work that we do and of course raise vital funds for those who need it most.

What will you be doing?

The key responsibilities of this role include: decorating Christmas trees, tidying and sorting event spaces before, during and after the event, moving equipment and materials, undecorating and packing away items, organising storage cupboards, and overall just ensuring that things run in a smooth and efficient manner. If you are a creative and organised Christmas fan, then this could be the perfect role for you!

How regular is the volunteering?

The work for this role will be done in the run up to Christmas, and within the first couple of weeks of the new year. We will require your help on a few specific days during this time period (yet to be decided), and these will usually be weekdays. You will be given details of the specific dates/times with plenty of notice and we will do our best to work around the availability of all the volunteers! There is no requirement for you to be available for every single one, so if you just have the occasional day available to support us, then this will be absolutely fine.

At RSPCA Buckinghamshire South Branch, our charity shops are looking for friendly volunteers to join our team and help make our shop a huge success. Make new friends, have fun, and help us help more animals!

As a volunteer Charity Shop Assistant, you would join a small team working with the shop manager and 1-2 other volunteers to help make it a success and raise vital funds for animal welfare.

As our local group Activities Organiser you’ll play a crucial role in developing and planning activities and events with your local group. You’ll be responsible for creating and coordinating an annual calendar of events and making sure they’re run safely and effectively to make the most impact. You’ll take a lead role at events on the day and inspire your fellow volunteers to get involved.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication, administration and negotiation skills.
