Are you passionate about campaigning, building movements and empowering students to lead change? 

We are looking for a strategic and politically astute Head of Student Campaigns to lead the development of a powerful, inclusive student movement. This is a unique opportunity to shape how students engage with democracy, activism, and changemaking across the University of Manchester and beyond.

As Head of Student Campaigns, you’ll lead a team focused on building a stronger and more inclusive student movement. You’ll design and deliver projects that increase student participation in changemaking, support democratic engagement, and ensure marginalised voices are heard and represented. Working closely with elected student leaders and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help shape the future of student influence.

The Head of Student Campaigns will manage a team including the Senior Democracy Coordinator, Student Community Organisers, and report to the Associate Director of Student Influence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead movement-building initiatives aligned with student priorities.

• Develop and deliver training, events, and campaigns that mobilise students.

• Increase participation in democratic processes, including student elections.

• Build relationships with stakeholders across the university, city, and sector.

• Ensure inclusive engagement, particularly for underrepresented student groups.

• Embed project management practices to deliver impactful work at pace.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in community organising or movement building

• Strong project management and facilitation skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team effectively

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Regional Manager – Greater Manchester

Fixed term contract for 6 months, continuing subject to funding.

At One Million Mentors (1MM), our mission is simple but powerful — to connect one million young people with one million life-changing mentors. We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven Regional Manager to lead our impact across Greater Manchester.

�� What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the delivery of our mentoring programmes across the region — building partnerships, recruiting mentors and mentees, and ensuring every match has a lasting impact.

• Establish 150+ new, high-quality mentoring matches each quarter.
• Lead 1MM’s expansion across Greater Manchester by building partnerships with local employers, councils, schools, colleges, youth charities, and community organisations.
• Use the 1MM digital platform to manage matching, reporting, and user support.
• Ensure all mentoring activity meets quality assurance KPIs.

You’re an energetic connector and organiser who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment — someone who believes deeply in the power of mentoring and social action to change lives.

You’ll bring:

• Programme development experience at management level, including regional planning and event delivery.
• A track record of working to ambitious targets in a performance-focused environment.
• Proven outreach and engagement skills to secure new partnerships.
• Ability to deliver or facilitate programmes, including recruitment against challenging targets.
• Excellent relationship management, including working confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Very strong spreadsheet and IT skills (especially Google Sheets and MS Excel).
• A confident, self-motivated approach, maintaining high standards and focus even in changing circumstances.
• A genuine passion for mentoring and social impact.

Growing Together Levenshulme are looking for a Support Manager to work with asylum seekers and refugees, based at our therapeutic garden in Levenshulme, Manchester. You will join our People Support team (currently 1 staff and 6 volunteers), providing meaningful and impacting support to our project participants. We particularly encourage applications from people with lived experience of seeking asylum in the UK.
