Palliative care for children aged 0–18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham (serving Birmingham and Warwickshire), Worcester (serving Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire), and Walsall (serving the Black Country and parts of Staffordshire and Shropshire), as well as in family homes and other community settings. Acorns’ holistic, tailored approach is designed to meet each child’s clinical, emotional, cultural, religious, and spiritual needs.
Trust and Foundation income is a cornerstone of Acorns’ fundraising strategy. Income is primarily unrestricted and multi-year – a reflection of the strong, long-standing relationships Acorns have built with funders. With a mix of small templated applications and large bespoke bids, trusts work is underpinned by thoughtful stewardship and a collaborative, well-resourced approach across teams.
We’re looking for an experienced Trusts fundraiser to provide maternity cover and hit the ground running. You’ll take on a robust pipeline and inherit relationships from a portfolio that includes multi-year partnerships with major funders such as Children in Need and John Martins.
Working closely with a highly experienced and supportive peer, you’ll enjoy a shared, balanced portfolio and the space to focus on great fundraising. With a responsive Data team, access to strong stories, and excellent internal buy-in, this is a rare chance to build on solid foundations and deliver high-impact work. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in writing successful 5- and 6-figure bids, excellent storytelling skills, and confidence in translating data into compelling narratives.
As Fundraising Manager – Trusts and Foundations, you will:
- Take on a well-established portfolio of trusts and foundations with a combined value of c.£850K, delivering a mix of templated and bespoke applications
- Collaborate closely with a peer Trusts Manager, sharing responsibility for monthly submissions and stewardship
- Maintain and build relationships with existing funders, ensuring excellent reporting and donor care
- Work cross-functionally with the Data, Marcomms, Finance, and Care teams to develop strong cases for support
- Support joint cultivation and engagement events alongside the Philanthropy team
Ideal skills and experience:
- A strong track record of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from trusts and foundations, including multi-year funding
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across formats and word counts
- Comfortable managing and interpreting impact data, financial information, and project detail
- Highly organised and efficient, able to manage a busy workload with autonomy
- Collaborative and supportive team player with a donor-centred approach

Ability to produce fresh, emotive and informative content across print & digital platforms - including profiles of guests, news stories, blogs and speeches

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.
Fixed term until March 2026.
Full time - 35 hours a week
The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and may also include some Saturdays.
Location: Scope's London office and remote working is offered around meetings and workshops.

The Role
In this role you will be:
- Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
- Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.
- Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
- Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.
- Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.

The Role
Fundraising and Impact Coordinator
o Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising applications, events and community initiatives

In this role, you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Supporter Engagement Team. You will have the opportunity to support in creating and launching exciting new fundraising products, attend a wide variety of events and add your voice by reviewing current processes which will benefit our fundraisers.

Job Purpose
The Development Manager will play a pivotal role in strengthening and sustaining the Foodbank's impact. You will lead fundraising efforts, cultivate key partnerships, oversee communications, and help support long-term organisational sustainability.
You will have a proven track record of growing income and building relationships with funders to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. And you will have the capacity to create and craft compelling communications that successfully engage and attract donations.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Income Generation
●Develop and implement a fundraising strategy (grants, trusts, individual giving, corporate partnerships, community fundraising).
●Research, write, and manage funding applications and grant reporting.
●Build and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and partners to secure and grow income streams, ensuring they receive excellent stewardship, timely reporting and doing all you can to maximise potential for further funding.
●Work collaboratively with other Trussell food banks, participate in the Trussell network of fundraisers, proactively take advantage of any skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.
●Work with the treasurer to identify fundraising priorities, develop fundraising budgets and make informed projections regarding future income.
●Generate content to promote the work of the food bank and encourage donations through social media, regular newsletters and contact with corporate Volunteers.
Partnership Development
●Identify and nurture partnerships with local businesses, charities, schools, faith groups, and community organisations.
●Develop corporate volunteering at the foodbank, alongside the Volunteering Manager, and develop income from corporate partners.
●Represent the Foodbank at local events and meetings to build visibility and strategic relationships.
Communications & Engagement
●Manage and widen the Foodbank’s public profile through social media, newsletters, campaigns, and the website.
●Develop engaging content that tells the story of the Foodbank’s impact and encourages support.
●Coordinate media relations where necessary.
●Act as brand guardian, ensuring all communications are consistent with the Kensington & Chelsea Foodbank’s values, tone, and visual identity, and in line with Trussell’s new brand.
Strategic Planning & Organisational Development
●Be part of the leadership team, along with the board of trustees, that delivers the Foodbank’s strategic goals.
●Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), helping to evaluate programme impact and effectiveness.
●Contribute to long-term sustainability and capacity-building plans.
●Perform other tasks as requested by trustees.
Person Specification
Essential
●Proven experience in fundraising or income development (preferably in the charity or non-profit sector).
●Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and persuade a range of audiences.
●Ability to work independently, proactively and collaboratively in a small, dedicated team.
●Passion for tackling food poverty, inequality, and social justice.
Desirable
●Experience in community engagement or partnership-building.
●Knowledge of the local context in Kensington & Chelsea or similar urban environments.
