Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts.

About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job 

Volunteers play a central role in every aspect of The Felix Project’s work, and we work hard to build a happy and positive environment for all our volunteers. We’re very lucky to have many organisations who want to volunteer with us. 

The Farm Volunteer Coordinator position facilities group volunteering, be that from one of Felix’s corporate partners or another organisation seeking a great team experience. This role is focused primarily on the farms in Kent and Sussex that we rescue food from in the run up to and during harvest season.

Out of farming season, you will mainly be working from home. This will mainly involve project work and assisting in the day to day running and improvement of the group volunteering process at Felix. You will also be needed in the London depots/events around once a week to support staff and volunteers there.

You will be accountable for the management of the group volunteer bookings and briefings at the farm and other environments, cultivating strategic volunteer relationships and exploring new opportunities for partners to support Felix through volunteering.

Hospitals need to free up beds by discharging patients who do not need to remain in hospital. Despite the pressures we want discharges to be safe, successful and as painless as possible for patients. We also want to ensure a patient is not readmitted into hospital. 

The Hospital Discharge Community Support Coordinator will match Age UK Lambeth (AUKL) volunteers and partner organisation volunteers to support a patient's discharge. Volunteers could provide support with transport, practical support such as food shopping or completing home safety checks. Upon discharge volunteers may continue supporting patients for up to 4 weeks, providing support in person (at the individual's home or in the community) and over the phone, linking them into support services and helping them access the community to prevent hospital readmission.

What you’ll be doing?

1. Oversee the development of a new, inclusive volunteer programme that offers a range of diverse and challenging volunteer roles to support patients leaving hospital and once settled home. 

2. Work in partnership with the VCS to create 100 volunteering opportunities to support hospital discharge.

3. Using the volunteer platform, Care for Me, track allocated tasks to ensure they’re completed. Monitor volunteer reports to review the support and work delivered under the project.

4. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital to ensure appropriate referrals are made into the service.

Building Recovery in Community Coordinator

We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Recovery coordinator (HMYOI Deerbolt being the community) to support Waythrough’s service delivery within Reconnected to Health in HMYOI Deerbolt.As a Building Recovery coordinator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, who have completed most of their recovery journey with a Recovery Coordinator and are now in sustained recovery. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach to ensure that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person. 
As a Building Recovery coordinator, you will also recruit train and supervise peer mentors who will support the service alongside yourself with group delivery, mutual aid, focus groups and any project work.

• Manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing on-going recovery plans and treatment, liaising closely with the full range of workers and skills within the service team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
• Carry out focus groups and promote equality diversity and inclusion through project work and promotion of the service
• Recruit, train and supervise peer mentors who are an integral part of our service delivery and lived experience
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
• Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community To lead effective case management for allocated service users, including on-going processes such as risk assessments, risk management plans and safeguarding assessments and plans. Project Background

Come and join our award-winning place-based volunteering programme that works with residents living across Hackney and the City of London.

You will be based out in the community - the programme is based at GP practices - to engage, support and enable local residents and patients to deliver local services for themselves, to meet local needs. Volunteer Centre Hackney is a medium sized charity (currently 30 staff) based in the London borough of Hackney, working to support local residents to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others.

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a fast-growing charity in North London providing much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems.

The successful candidates will be responsible for working with service users during periods of crisis and support them through their journey of recovery to ensure that they are receiving the support most beneficial to them. This will be achieved through a person-centred approach to ensure that the views of service users are central to the planned support they receive.

The successful candidates will take a lead in working with service users to assess needs/barriers preventing clients from recovery, working with them to create a personal action plan, and monitoring and evaluating outcomes and progress.

Independence will be encouraged through self-management and recovery.

The roles will involve working in the community and with the wider team as well as our partner organisation North Middlesex NHS Foundation Trust Emergency Department to ensure that the community is kept up to date with the services that we are offering and the strong reputation of Mind in Haringey as a leading provider of mental health services in the borough is maintained.

This is a part-time position (20 hours per week), between the service hours of 9am-5pm (Monday-Friday)

Community Care Coordinators are based at 275 Fore Street, Edmonton, London, N9 0PD & North Middlesex Hospital.

The Role Due to investment in the Corporate, Community and Events team you will spearhead the expansion of our Corporate and Community Giving portfolio. This role involves enhancing relationships with current donors, partnerships with new businesses, and playing a critical role in our Fundraising & Trading Department. You will be instrumental in managing income streams projected to raise £150,000 this year, with ambitions for future growth. Your role will also encompass being a prominent figure in the community, delivering fundraising talks, and attending networking events and being an advocate for Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

About You You are a dynamic individual with a successful track record in corporate fundraising, capable of securing significant income through corporate and community events. Your skills include:

• Exceptional leadership and the ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Strong marketing abilities, both online and offline, to achieve financial and recruitment targets.
• Excellent public engagement and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in IT and CRM databases, ideally with experience in Raisers Edge.
• A deep-seated passion for animal welfare and alignment with our values.
