Westway Trust is seeking a dedicated Head of Operations with a minimum of 5 years’ senior leadership or operational management experience in a multi-disciplinary organisation, ideally within a community, charitable, social enterprise or values-led setting.

In this newly created role, you will act as a key advisor, reporting directly into the CEO, and will have responsibility of key areas of the Trust’s operational functions, ensuring the smooth and effective running and delivery of services. You will directly manage the leads of HR, Learning, Communications & Marketing, and Community Engagement, supporting them to deliver high-quality work and develop professionally.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Oversight and line management of the HR, Learning, Communications & Marketing, and Community Engagement functions of the Trust.

• Be a key part of the Executive Team, chaired by the CEO.
• Maintain an overview of all projects and programmes of activity, outputs and outcomes within the role and ensure reports are written and submitted on time.
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership across teams, driving high performance, alignment with values, and maintaining individual, personal & team wellbeing.
• Develop and implement planning processes and performance management tools to ensure effective delivery of goals.
• Develop, drive and maintain the data gathering and analysis for the Westway Trust, that enables the Social Impact Framework and to play a key role in the organisation’s progress towards creating a strong narrative in respect of achievement. 
• Attend People Committee Meetings and the Board as requested, and contribute to the preparation of meeting papers as necessary in line with agenda requirements. 
• Provide upward reporting and insight to the CEO including written briefings, performance dashboards, and recommendations.
• Attend internal and external meetings, including those that require representing the Trust publicly, in line with agreed strategies and perspectives.
• Monitor, update and ensure compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements (e.g. safeguarding, employment, health & safety, data protection) to build a positive work culture.
• Champion collaboration and integration across departments, ensuring consistent implementation of work priorities that align with community needs and objectives.
• Support a values-based culture that centres equity, sustainability, openness, courage, and integrity.
• Contribute to organisational development and support the process of communicating and managing change effectively at the Trust in line with agreed policies and frameworks.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes:

• Minimum 5 years’ senior leadership or operational management experience in a multi-disciplinary organisation, ideally within a community, charitable, social enterprise or values-led setting.
• Proven ability to lead, guide and motivate diverse teams and to support the professional growth of those who report to you as a line manager.
• Demonstrable experience of good practice approaches to conflict resolution, working in collaboration with others and encouraging honesty, transparency and open ways of working across teams that benefit the organisation’s effectiveness and efficiency.
• Excellent planning, organisation and performance management skills.
• Excellent writing and reporting skills, including the ability to summarise complex data and issues for decision-makers.
• Experience in researching, developing and managing departmental budgets.
• Ability to analyse information, and formulate practical and reasoned operational plans that can be easily understood and monitored.
• Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills – able to offer both moral and professional support to teams.
• Experience of supporting organisational change, transition, or transformation programmes.
• Experience of embedding inclusive and equitable practices across teams.
• Demonstrable alignment with the Trust’s values and commitment to anti-racism and community power.

Desirable Experience, Skills and Attributes:

• Previous experience overseeing HR or education/community programmes is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with communications/marketing functions is a plus but not essential.
• Degree-level education together with a recognised professional qualification in any of the fields this role covers - or equivalent lived/professional experience – is highly desirable.

This role covers the South-West of England and requires regular travel within this region, as well as occasional national trips. Richmond Borough Mind is a vibrant local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 60 years. 

We are excited to be looking for a Young Adults Peer Support Worker. You will have your own lived experience of mental ill health and be able to use this experience as well as your professional skills and knowledge, to support others.

With the expansion of our work in this area we aim to reduce waiting times, reduce the number of people going into crisis, address inequalities and support transitions from youth to adult services. We will be offering holistic and personalised care and support to service users and carers.

This role will carry caseload and deliver a range of support and person-centred interventions to meet these needs, which could include group support, one-to-one interventions and signposting where specialist advice is needed. Referrals could be young adults, careleavers, people currently under adult mental health services, or carers supporting people in the community.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and able to support people on their journey to recovery. As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicants will have the skills to provide person-centred support, through one-to-one sessions and through facilitating groups. You’ll have experience using a CRM system (like Raiser’s Edge) and understand the importance of handling sensitive data in line with GDPR regulations. Ideally, you’ll also have a good understanding of fundraising rules, including Gift Aid.

This includes setting federation wide safeguarding policies and procedures, providing safeguarding training, case management, management of the Safeguarding Focal Point Network, and sector safeguarding engagement.

We are a remote global team, and the successful candidate must be willing to work independently, and to travel when required occasionally at short notice.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Safeguarding Team as our Senior Global Safeguarding Specialist reporting to the Global Safeguarding Director. This is a senior role in the team and will play a key part in managing and supervising safeguarding cases and investigations, as well as providing proactive support and guidance to Members and Country Programmes on a range of safeguarding topics. The role involves a considerable about of proactive prevention work such as designing and facilitating training and resources for a range of audiences (Boards, staff groups, volunteers, communities). The role involves organisation and facilitation of large-scale events and management of the Safeguarding Focal Point Network. This role supports the Global Safeguarding Director in implementing safeguarding policies and standards and works closely to deliver core safeguarding projects across the federation. The team is supported by a Global Safeguarding Co-Ordinator for whom this role line manages, a Global Safeguarding Adviser and a Community Safeguarding Engagement Adviser.

In this role you’ll also: 

• Lead and Co-lead safeguarding support country programme / member visits.
• Maintain and update core safeguarding policies and standards as and when required.
• Actively engage with external safeguarding networks to ensure WaterAid continues to contribute to improve sector safeguarding standards and engages in relevant sector initiatives.
• Monitor compliance with global safeguarding standards in relation to core performance indicators.
• Lead on planning and developing, training resources such as webinars, videos, and guidance documents for multiple audiences.
• Be available on call throughout the year and during events as designated to ensure safeguarding advice and support can be accessed across the Global Safeguarding Team 24/7
• Cover for the Global Safeguarding Director in their absence.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll need: 

• Proven track record of working in a safeguarding environment with significant case management experience of at least 5 years.
• Significant experience in conducting safeguarding investigations and risk-based interviewing.
• Experience of report writing skills, including risk assessments and risk management report writing.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and protection principles and standards.
• Understanding and knowledge of applying a trauma survivor centred approach
• Experience of working with vulnerable groups such as young people and vulnerable communities.
• Knowledge of UK and globally relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance.
• Experience of working in challenging, face paced, and complex environments.
• Experience of safeguarding policy design and implementation.
• To be able to confidentiality communicate in English both written and spoken.
• Commitment to WaterAid’s values of respect, accountability, courage, collaboration, integrity and innovation and a working style that reflects these.
• You must be available to travel internationally for an event between 04- 11 October 2025.

About the role

The Director of Membership Services provides strategic leadership for the Membership Services directorate and is therefore responsible for the development and implementation of all Imperial College Union strategy relating to Student Activities, Representation, Advice, Governance and Policy. The role ensure the delivery and resourcing of operating plans, policy and operating procedures to ensure that the Union delivers its strategic objectives across its Membership Services.

The successful candidate will ensure that the directorate develops and delivers impactful and inclusive services which champion and enhance the Student Experience at Imperial College. They will ensure that the Union values of integrity, inclusivity, and innovation guide the work of the directorate, and will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal, College and external stakeholders. They will also be a member of the Union’s Operational Management Group and Leadership Team, and as such will be responsible for the strategic development of the Union and ensuring that the Union works towards delivering its mission and aims.

This role requires strategic thinking, operational expertise, and the ability to build effective relationships. Candidates should have experience managing budgets, leading teams, and driving innovation within a membership or student-focused organisation. The ability to work collaboratively while delivering student-centred initiatives is key to success in this position.

About the Role 

As our Freelance Digital Skills Facilitator, you will design and deliver weekly in person sessions covering essential digital skills such as:

We’re looking for a facilitator who can make learning digital skills accessible, engaging, and confidence building. You should have:

• Confidence using smartphones, tablets, and common apps
• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or similar groups
• Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles
• A calm, friendly approach and great communication skills

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

About the role

This role sits within The Passage Housing Needs Service (HNS) team. It will provide brief interventions to support individuals who have been placed into accommodation by the HNS team to settle into and sustain their tenancies. The post holder will work holistically to assist individuals to address issues that are impacting on their ability to sustain their accommodation on a time limited basis and will link them into services in their local areas for ongoing support in order for them to gain independence and integrate into their new communities.

Main duties

• To provide support to individuals who are moving into their new private rented sector accommodation where appropriate and needed. This can include setting up utilities, council tax among other things.
• To establish and develop positive and constructive working relationships with a range of services and agencies across London boroughs that can provide support to our clients ensuring the best possible outcomes for them.
• To assess any risk to clients, the environment and staff, record and communicate any risks identified using appropriate channels in the Passage.
• To ensure accurate and timely record keeping using the Inform database as well as client files and ensure all record keeping and information sharing is kept securely in line with Data protection.
• Support HNS Workers to complete exit questionnaires to gather feedback and promote co production with the individuals the team supports.
• To draw up psychologically informed action plans for clients ensuring they are person centered and taking into consideration the clients’ views.

Key responsibilities

• In conjunction with your Housing Needs Service Coordinator to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Puppy Co-ordinator to join our forward-thinking training department.  The role will involve overseeing and supporting our puppy co-ordinators, ensuring that all our puppies and volunteers are being trained to the highest possible standards.

Recruitment, educating and supporting of new staff to ensure they can lone work both confidently and effectively are an essential part of this role, alongside ensuring the continued development of existing staff.  In addition to this, the ability to support staff when difficult conversations or situations arise is also essential.  The senior lead must have relevant qualifications and experience in training and behaviour as advising on training and behavioural issues will be required, with the ability to support individuals on writing and implementing suitable behaviour modification plans. 

As senior lead you will be expected to oversee and ensure targets are being reached on a yearly basis, ability to review success rates and how we can increase this, provide relevant reports to the Training Manager and can consider and propose new procedures which improves both our training standards and success rates further.

At Northampton Students’ Union, our Sports Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enriching the student experience through sport. By overseeing over 35 free-to-join sports clubs, they ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all students, regardless of background or ability. Their responsibilities include managing sports programming, coordinating events like Varsity and Sports Awards, and fostering relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. By supporting student-led initiatives and promoting participation, the Sports Development Coordinator helps create a vibrant, active campus community.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Book internal and external facilities for training and fixtures.  Ensure that the clubs use suitable facilities of an appropriate standard, while following SU procedures and maintaining good relationships with the facility provider.
2. Operational responsibility for all SU affiliated sports activity, including approving risk assessment and dealing with all accident reports for sports clubs.
3. To ensure that appropriate process is followed when disciplinary issues occur with Sports Clubs.
4. To lead on Sports Awards and Varsity, to ensure a safe and relevant event is delivered.
5. To feed into the budget-setting process, and be responsible for spending the Sports budget, following financial processes accordingly.
6. To support all sports club volunteers in the development and delivery of their activities and events.
7. Responsible for the growth and development of new sports and developing processes that enable students to either set up new activities or expand current activities.
8. To be the organisation’s main point of contact for British Universities and Colleges Sport.
9. To deliver all administrative processes for BUCS-related activity on behalf of the organisation.
10. Maintain effective lines of communication between clubs and the Students' Union at all times.
11. Operational responsibility for administrating and safety of all onsite sports storage, ensuring spaces are safe for student use.
12. Pro-actively look to find ways to increase student participation in sport by ensuring appropriate communication via our Brand & Communications team and promoting and supporting the setting up of new clubs. 
13. Identify, and with support of line-manager, apply for external funding opportunities that will increase our support for sport in partnership with Clubs and elected officers.
14. To establish and maintain contacts to set up community partnership agreements which could increase our sporting offer or volunteering opportunities.
15. To review operational processes in a timely manner, in line with any governance or policy change within the organisation.
16. Write and develop a training programme for all student sports leaders, focusing on empowering them to complete their roles independently via clearly communicated and transparent processes and enhancement of their soft skills to complete the role.
17. Develop systems that empowers students to take ownership of setting up new activities or expand current activities.
18. Alongside an elected officer, represent Northampton Students’ Union at all BUCS regional meetings, ensuring that we are updated on University Sport development.
19. To support clubs with the recruitment of all paid and volunteer coaches, and ensuring they adhere to the Coaches Code of Conduct and other supporting documents.
20. Pro-actively encourage student sports leaders to record and reflect on their skill development.
21. Manage and provide mentorship for the Sports Administrator and any other student staff roles working within Sport at the Union.
