Job description

Family Support Coordinator, Full-time, £29,388 per annum (including London weighting), Ealing- Fixed term to end of September 2021

We are seeking to recruit a Family Support Coordinator with strong project management, volunteer management and family support skills to develop and monitor a ‘whole family approach’ project in Ealing.  The project will provide support to families who have at least one child aged 5-10 years old through a volunteer workforce. The successful candidate will have experience in the recruitment, training and ongoing management of volunteers and knowledge of the role of volunteers in community projects. Initiative and excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills are essential, together with experience of providing targeted help to families through the collection of data and use of assessment and monitoring tools

The ability to listen with empathy as well as having a high standard of written and verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.  Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, as well as commitment to equal opportunities principles and practice are also required. Comprehensive knowledge of local agencies, networks and partnerships within the area of family support is desirable.

The post involves working in the community in Ealing with some work from home so a suitable home working environment is essential. Regular travel around the Ealing area will be required

Family Lives offers an annual leave entitlement of 27-30 days per annum, depending on length of service, a contributory pension scheme and an excellent work-life balance.
