Purpose of the job

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Communications Manager to join our team. Working closely with the Partnerships and Communications Director, the role will help deliver ELBA’s Communication Strategy and external comms.

With a background in design, and a knowledge and ability in web design, build and management, the Communications Manager will manage ELBA’s visual identity/design work and website. This role will combine hands-on content creation with design application to enhance our organisational storytelling, digital presence and stakeholder engagement.

Overseeing a cross-departmental committee that helps facilitate all-team involvement in comms, the Communications Manager will support and help generate content for the website, social media and newsletters.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

• Working closely with the CEO and Partnerships and Communications Director, refine and implement the organisation’s communications strategy

• Create the Mailchimp newsletter, and search for and source images for news articles

Performance Monitoring

• Gather and analyse quarterly data and metrics for website, newsletter and social media performance

• Maintain content calendars and communications logs to support planning and reporting

Content Creation and Editing

• Create, co-create, edit and upload content

Newsletters and Campaigns

• Design and distribute a monthly newsletter using Mailchimp

Person Specification

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a communications, content or digital marketing role
• WordPress back-end and front-end knowledge and skills 
• Technically-able with experience using newsletter software such as Mailchimp, as well as generally being proficient using a range of digital tools and software.
• Proficient in basic graphic design and layout using InDesign or equivalent
• Strong written English and editing skills with high attention to grammar, style and brand tone
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to and deliver a communications strategy

About the Role

Sense is recruiting a Senior Community Fundraiser, this is a full time permanent position based in our offices in Kings Cross, London. This is a hybrid role, working in the office 2 days per week.

We’re looking for an experience fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising Team, responsible for generating income and engagement, working closely with services, volunteers and engagement staff. The successful candidate will support and deliver the community fundraising strategy, growing our portfolio and building new long-term relationships for Sense. You will be responsible for generating income for Sense, supporting the delivery of our Community Team income target of £569,000, enabling community fundraising to become a dependable source of income for the charity.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• To ensure all community supporters are given the highest level of customer care and that all enquiries and requests for support are responded to quickly and effectively.
• To focus on growing income for Community Team across two key areas - groups and associations and schools and universities.
• The Senior Community Fundraiser will lead on the Community Team’s national projects and communicate updates and plans effectively with the team.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Understanding of Community based fundraising trends.
• Evidence of own continuing professional development.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a community fundraising environment.
• Experience providing the highest level of stewardship to supporters / fundraisers or customers.
• Experience managing projects, with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable regularly speaking to both current supporters and potential supporters in person and by the phone.
• Experience of working with budgets and financial targets.

Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, fundraiser who is target driven, to apply for a new role, Philanthropy Development Manager, to lead a step-change in member giving. The postholder will develop and implement strategies to double the amount individual members give each year for the next three years. In doing this they will work with the Goldsmiths’ Foundation to harness the power of community, connection, and purpose-driven philanthropy. The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The salary for this position is £19, 594.59 (FTE £29,000) for 25 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

King’s Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) initiated a long-term partnership with Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital and Ndola Teaching hospital, in Ndola province, Zambia. Work in Zambia has focused on maternal and newborn health, breast cancer surgery, antimicrobial stewardship and health worker wellbeing.

KGHP is based within the School of Life Course & Population Sciences. The School of Life Course & Population Sciences is one of five Schools that make up the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London. The School unites experts across 5 departments, Women and Children’s health, Nutritional Sciences, Population Health Sciences, Ophthalmology and Twins & Genetic Epidemiology, overall covering the complexities of life course health & disease from individual cells molecular genetics to whole population level.

About the role

We are looking for a Programme Manager to lead on the management of our current programme activities in Somaliland and Zambia. The role will lead on the management of various grants/ projects within our Somaliland and Zambia partnerships as well as strengthening our partnership approaches in these two countries. The role will be responsible for project closeout, startup of new projects secured as well as developing new funding proposals to support the aims as set out in our partnership and organisational strategies. 

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1. BSc or MSc in Global Health or International Relations or aligned subject
2. Relevant experience managing multiple projects (including large and complex grants/contracts) throughout the full project cycle, preferably projects delivered by consortiums

4. Financial management and budgeting experience for complex multi-year, multi-partner projects

We are looking for a Branch Manager with a passion for animal welfare, who will contribute to our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing animals in need. The Supporter Relationship Manager is responsible for all individual donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our individual giving income.
