The successful candidate will join our busy Governance team, reporting to the Head of Governance and working closely within a core team of two officers and two senior officers. 

As a Senior Governance Officer, you will provide high quality governance support to the senior executive, Board and Committees as well as other stakeholders across the Fund engaging pro-actively with other teams and stakeholders across the Fund.  You will have a good understanding of governance in the public or voluntary/charity sector and be able to quickly familiarise yourself with the Fund’s complex governance framework.  You will be expected to use your knowledge and judgment to provide prompt and high-quality advice and feedback. 

You will show leadership in identifying, implementing, and maintaining effective governance processes and best practice, bringing changes where needed. 

A team player you will take pride in your work and the work of the Governance team. 

Day to day responsibilities will include:

The role is hybrid and UK based. However you will be able to travel to London for team’s meetings and occasionally to other locations within the UK to support governance meetings when required.

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for growing support from businesses (currently 30 small corporates) plus local groups. You’ll manage existing partners and build new relationships to hit a £150K annual target. 

The successful candidate will:

• Have a minimum of two years’ experience in Fundraising
• Demonstrate strong relationship-building and networking skills.
• Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to deliver persuasive and dynamic presentations.

Day Care Officer – Day Care Centres 

Age UK Camden Day Care Centres are looking to recruit a Day Care Officer to cover 15 hours a week in shifts (3 x 5 hours) across our two Day Care Centres. 

There is a need to be flexible to be able to cover all days Monday to Friday and days are subject to change based on the rota.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the heart of a truly exciting heritage restoration project to restore,  renew and open up to new audiences, a nationally-important building in a thriving but economically and socially challenged central London neighbourhood.

In November 2024, St Peter’s Walworth submitted a First-Round application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for Development Phase funding for the “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” project. The request was for a First Round Pass of £3.1m and a Development Grant of £438,000.  A decision was received by NLHF on 13th March 2025 and pending Permission to Start, the Development Phase is set to run for 18 months, at which point a Delivery Round application will be submitted to activate a Delivery Phase.  Staff, a Design Team, a QS and specialist consultants will need to be competitively appointed to complete a list of required documents/studies for the Delivery application. Design development needs to be completed to RIBA Stage 3, planning, Faculty and consents need to be in place and all partnership funding raised or pledged.

Capital works are proposed to the exterior of the Church, respecting its heritage integrity, making it more sustainable and putting it in good order throughout. Similarly inside, where improvements will make the Church more welcoming, improving infrastructure and circulation and accommodating planned activities. Works will take place over the three floors: Crypt Basement, the Ground Floor and the Gallery/First Floor.

A full time Heritage Manager will need to be appointed at the beginning of the 18-month Development Phase. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the Project reporting to Claire Maugham (Chair of the Steering Group Committee) involved in strategic planning, management, execution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.  In order to achieve the goals of St Peter’s Walworth,  they will oversee design development to RIBA Stage 3 of “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” and oversee the preparation of key NLHF checklist documents, supporting on the roll out of a successful fundraising campaign - with a target to raise just over £1m working with a Fundraising Appeal Board, and a F/T Trusts and Foundations Manager.

The Heritage Manager will be a strategic thinker with an understanding of the planning and delivery of major projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). We are also looking for a candidate that will successfully integrate partnerships that are being forged in the local area. They should have a strong background in project management and possess the ability to move adeptly between big picture thinking and day-to-day operations, where it will be necessary, for example, to process their own admin.

The Heritage Manager will have some experience of fundraising, networking and financial management and be comfortable working in a start-up environment, being able to demonstrate experience of extensive community engagement, as well as an understanding of and empathy with the ambitions and vision of the St Peter’s Walworth PCC (Parochial Church Council) and the needs of a Grade 1 listed building. 

They will bring an inclusive approach to their work, able to centre and involve the church and local community in the project while integrating the experience of a wide range of volunteer professionals

Their task will be ensure that the project is delivered within time and to budget in accordance with an agreed programme, budget and checklist of deliverables, as well as working closely with all project stakeholders and partners.

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, your main responsibility will be to develop relationships with individual and community donors, and legacy pledgers. Your personalised approach and friendly manner will help them feel valued, understand the life changing difference they make and deepen their connection to our work reducing loneliness in later life. As part of your role, you will also have opportunity to support the Individual Giving Manager with fundraising activities.
 
Key responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for supporters and build good relationships with them - respond to queries, take donations, and support them in their fundraising.
• Develop a programme to regularly thank donors for their support and find out more about them, including a schedule of supporter phone calls and sending a donor survey.
• Make sure all individual, community and legacy gifts are recorded correctly on our CRM and thanked within a timely manner. Look for new ways to thank donors in a way that surprises and delights.
• Develop and implement personalised stewardship plans for donors and legacy pledgers to provide regular updates that demonstrate their impact or help to build engagement ahead of a fundraising appeal.
• Work with the Individual Giving Manager to communicate with one-off donors about how they can set up a regular gift, and to regular givers about how they can increase their gift.
• Provide support on the production of fundraising appeals, identifying potential stories to use, writing briefs and liaising with suppliers, producing mailing lists and analysing results.
• Work with the Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement marketing plans for challenge events, community, in memory and legacy fundraising, planning regular content throughout the year and identifying key times to promote specific activity.
• Look for opportunities to incorporate legacy messaging into other communications with donors, volunteers and older people.
• Support on the development of new KPI and reporting frameworks, and help to update results for post-campaign and ad-hoc data analysis projects.
• Keep up to date with developments in direct marketing and fundraising practise. Comply with the Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice and charity/fundraising law at all times.

About the role
You’ll play a vital role in delivering an ambitious programme of policy and public affairs activity, influencing government, engaging key stakeholders and championing evidence-based policy informed by physiology. Working closely with the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, internal teams, Society members and global experts, your work will span issues such as precision medicine, climate change and health, and research funding. 1. Grant & trust applications

2. Fundraising campaigns & donor engagement

In this responsibility, you will design and execute targeted fundraising campaigns and events. 3. Coordination & communications

• Research and application development:

• Donor relationship management:

The Third Age Trust is seeking to appoint a Senior Volunteering Officer who will: 

• have oversight of the support we provide to 400 Trust Volunteers who directly support the work of the Trust;
