Role Summary

Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. Now it stands on the vibrant and exciting regenerated south bank of the Thames surrounded by cultural venues such as Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and Borough Market, the offices of major companies as well as schools and diverse residential communities. The Cathedral’s mission, ministry and musical tradition are core to its life as a Cathedral and a parish church serving the community. It also relies on the valuable financial contribution made by its income generating activities such as its shop, café, conference rooms, corporate events and concerts. It is a very busy place, attracting 200,000 visitors a year to the Cathedral, its churchyard and medieval herb garden. The Cathedral relies on a small but dedicated team to be inclusive and welcoming to all.

The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide support to the Chief Operation Officer (COO) to assist them in the effective functioning of all governance, human resources and operational arrangements at the Cathedral.

We are expanding our small, dedicated, Support team who raise awareness, provide information and practical guidance alongside support and advocacy relating to health and social care, housing, education, transition, independent living, palliative care, and bereavement.  This team also contribute to the development of our resources and facilitate project work such as youth engagement, advisory boards, and support groups.

Ideal candidate

As a Support & Advice Officer, you will provide administrative and initial frontline support.  You will have the confidence to respond to queries, triaging when required.  You will work with sensitivity and confidentiality, have excellent communication skills making sure that the individual (or family) remains at the centre of your work.  You will have exceptional IT skills and be highly organised, with the ability to juggle many strands of work.  You will demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with your colleagues and external parties.   

Training on MPS and related conditions will be provided to help you develop a good understanding of MPS and related conditions, and the needs of those affected by these progressive, life-limiting conditions.

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham office each week. As part of the role, UK wide travel is necessary. which may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays.  You may also occasionally be required to attend evening or weekend conferences and events. We have policies in place to ensure that any unsociable hours worked are fairly compensated.

This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week) however part time hours may be considered for the right candidate.  Salary will be pro-rata for part-time.

As our new Fundraising Officer, you'll be joining OSCAR's Charity at a pivotal time in our growth. This isn't a rigid, box-ticking role – it's an opportunity to shape your own fundraising legacy. You’ll have financial targets to meet, and the backing of the whole team to help you achieve them.

Your time will be split across three closely-linked key areas:

Corporate Partnerships (35%)

• Researching and identifying potential partners
• Making initial approaches and developing warm contacts
• Supporting our Charity Manager to get partnerships over the line
• Preparing compelling materials and presentations
• Maintaining and stewarding relationships

Flagship Events (35%)

• Boosting sign-ups and participation
• Securing sponsors
• Providing event day support
• Finding creative ways to maximise income

Community Fundraising (30%)

• Building school partnerships
• Coordinating local events (such as quiz nights, bake sales, virtual events)
• Engaging with community groups
• Motivating and inspiring volunteer fundraisers

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 Job Purpose:

Volunteering Matters, in partnership with Active Suffolk and Sport England, is recruiting for a Community Connector to work in the Chantry / Belstead Hills / Stoke Park area of Ipswich

The aim of the role is to gather insights into local people’s lived experiences, particularly around physical activity, by having meaningful conversations in everyday settings like cafés, outside schools, and at community events. These insights will help shape future initiatives that support community wellbeing and development.

Ideal candidates will have strong local ties—preferably living in the area they work—and be confident, approachable, and proactive. The role involves identifying community needs, building local networks, signposting residents to support, and feeding back discussions to project partners.

Flexibility is key, with some evening and weekend work expected. The role reports to the Delivery Leader at Volunteering Matters and works closely with Active Suffolk’s Development Officer for Ipswich. A DBS check will be required before starting.

Purpose of the job

To work with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises delivery team to oversee the administration of The Roding Rises, a three-year project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund that aims to kick-start the revitalisation of the River Roding. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Track project costs against projected budget to ensure budget vs actual expenditure is effectively managed, raising concerns early with Thames21’s head of finance and The Roding Rises project manager.

• Complete The National Lottery Heritage Fund claims process at agreed intervals to ensure an appropriate cash flow.
• Assist with relevant reporting tasks back to project funders. 

• Work with the Thames21 Head of Finance and Thames21 Finance Officer to ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner in line with internal financial processes and any outstanding payments are managed in line with the approved funding agreement/ project proposal documentation. 

• Support The Roding Rises project manager with the administration of the Roding Rises grants scheme.

• Support the development and integration of improved financial tracking and reporting processes across wider Thames21 Teams.

Summary of the role:

The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role:

1. Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
2. Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
3. Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
4. Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
5. Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
6. Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

• Support and steward existing fundraisers and supporters, helping them maximise their impact by generating income/ donations through organising their own events 

• Create inspiring digital content and resources to empower and guide fundraisers and donors throughout their journey 

• Develop our fundraising hub to provide resources and information and encouragement to help participants 

• Represent Grassroots Suicide Prevention at events, delivering talks and building awareness to attract new donors, supporters and sign-ups to our challenge events 

• With support of our marketing team, create compelling content for multiple channels, including our website, blog, case studies, social media, and press releases, tailored to diverse audiences 

• Assist with multiple administrative tasks, such as inputting data into our CRM, check fundraising activities by participants on Just Giving and other activities ensure fundraising targets are being met and the smooth running and of our fundraising team and events 

• Be in commutable distance of Brighton, so you can come into the head office when required to send out merchandise, collect marketing collateral (including banners, posters, leaflets) to take to events.

St Andrew’s Hospice is looking for an inspiring and results focused Schools and Community Fundraiser to join our Schools and Community Fundraising Team.

What is the role?

As the Schools & Community Fundraiser, you will be working as part of the Fundraising Team to meet organisational income targets. You will have responsibility for the co-ordination, organisation, and evaluation of existing schools fundraising events within agreed levels of income & expenditure.

You will be expected to foster and grow our links with educational establishments, the wider community across Lanarkshire and 3rd party supporters. This will involve working with all Lanarkshire Nurseries, Primary & Secondary schools, to raise awareness of the Hospice, fundraising and our role in the community. You will be required to maximise and grow the income generated from all fundraising activities related to schools and community fundraising.

In addition to your own workload, you will support the work of the fundraising department with other fundraising initiatives as directed..

What we expect of you?

· Experience working within a fundraising/sales role

· Proven experience of working to income related targets.

· Experience of liaising with young people in a formal or informal setting.

· As an important part of the Hospice team, you will also deliver Hospice educational presentations to schools & community groups that will range from three or four individuals to classes, full school assemblies or School awards nights, across all age groups

· A proven track record of success when working individually and as part of a team.

· Flexibility as occasional evening and weekend work will be required

Oasis Community Partnerships (Youth and Community)

Permanent, full-time post, 40 hours per week, inclusive of breaks 

Starting salary: £51,960 per annum (plus London Weighting for London based staff)

 At an exciting and key stage in our journey we have the opportunity for an Operations Director to join the Oasis Youth and Community national leadership team supporting local Oasis community charities across the country.

With accountability to the CEO the Operations Director will be responsible for three key areas of work:

1. Lead key elements of policy and systems ensuring the Youth and Community function remains safe and compliant, and that local leaders and other key staff are effectively supported (including line management of People Services).
2. Oversee the effective governance oversight for all local charities through a cycle of professional guidance and monitoring.
3. Lead the national framework for monitoring and evaluation across activities.
