As part of the Getting Help team, you will provide social and practical support to adults with common mental health problems in a range of settings across Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale (HMR). This includes assessment and support planning, and community outreach. Typically, Community Engagement Workers support people who are on the waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy. The Getting Help team works in partnership with HMR Talking Therapies delivered by the Big Life Group and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The role:

You will be a motivated individual, with excellent written and communication skills, and proven experience of working in a community setting where service users are valued, listened to and respected. Previous experience working with and signposting families is essential to ensure that our Rose Voucher families are aware of the many services and activities available to support and increase their health and wellbeing. Father Hudson’s Care (FHC) is the social care agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. We require an experienced senior manager to lead our Community Projects Department. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Senior Management Team and be part of a regional charity with a very diverse range of services.
Suitable candidates will have extensive experience in developing and managing services/projects in a community setting and in management of senior staff. With a proven track record in securing funding, you will have a good understanding of a wide range of income streams and be able to manage complex budgets. This is essential with a department of over 77 staff / 200 volunteers and an overall budget of over £2 million with multiple funding streams.
Our community projects reach out to individuals who are marginalised and in need, including asylum seekers, refugees and migrants, older people and individuals experiencing homelessness. FHC Community Projects are delivered as local partnerships and we provide support to independent charities. The projects are diverse in provision and size, are delivered by staff and volunteer teams and provide a breadth of services in community settings including social support, advice, practical help, emergency and longer-term accommodation. FHC projects include Brushstrokes Community Project in Smethwick, Tabor Living in Birmingham, Young at Heart in North Staffordshire, Fatima House and Sophia House in Birmingham, Nicolas Barre House in Willenhall and Refugee Community Sponsorship schemes across the Diocese. The Community Inclusion Lead will have responsibility to develop and deliver the strategic direction of both the Community Inclusion and Education departments at Sale Sharks Foundation. This will include developing project/programs around disability and social inclusion, health and wellbeing and managing the Foundations Education department which focus’ on alternative provision and our Hitz program for 16–19-year-olds.
The role will have a focus on developing a range of provision across both Community Inclusion and Education. Monitoring & Evaluation
- Keep clear, accurate records and data collection linked to all grants and commercial funding streams.
- Responsible for tracking and delivering against agreed KPI’s associated with grant funding.
- Design, deliver and ensure monitoring and evaluative feedback systems are in place for all programmes.
- Produce reports, analyse and present findings to grant and funding partners.
- Ensure that quality assurance of Sale Sharks Foundation Community Inclusion and Education activities, working with colleagues to ensure all materials are relevant and up to date.

Community Development Officer – London (England South)
We are recruiting a Community Development Officer to engage key partners and stakeholders in the region tailoring support, training and education to create suicide safer communities.
In this role you will:
· Identify, develop and maintain effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide.
· Proactively promote suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide.
· Equip a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training and education.

Senior Youth Participation Officer
Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Senior Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!
The post holder will coordinate and develop our new young people drop-in programme and additional youth action programmes, aimed at engaging local young people into the work of FYA. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the drop-in sessions, as well as deliver some youth led social action programmes. The role will include recruiting young people, engaging them in co-producing fun and creative activities and workshops which will take place at the drop-ins, as well as supporting them in planning and delivering the social action programmes.
Typically, sessions will occur Sundays (TBC) and young people from the ages 8 to 18 will attend. We are also planning to start a second drop-in session from September, which is likely to run on a Friday evening.
The post holder will support young people to plan some social action programmes directly, as well as support young people into other youth-led community action programmes at FYA.

IRC has been delivering education programmes in the UK since May 2022. This consists of the Healing Classrooms Programme (and its various iterations) and the Healing Spaces programme. The Healing Classrooms programme delivers trauma-informed training to schools and teachers to help them better support refugee and asylum-seeking students. The Healing Spaces programme is similar but provides training to volunteers and staff that support refugee and asylum-seeking youth outside of school settings.
The Purpose of the Role

Lead Healing Classrooms design processes that ensure programmes are aligned to IRC’s Outcomes to Evidence framework, evidence-based, and appropriate to context to maximize impact.
