Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

Chiswick based.

Hours: 21:30 -07:30

Some Weekend work.

What you'll do:

Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents

We are looking for a talented fundraiser, with a background in the cultural sector to join the Gardens, Libraries & Museums (GLAM) Team within the Development and Alumni Engagement team of the University of Oxford.

You will be working with such iconic institutions as the Pitt Rivers Museum, the Oxford Botanic Gardens, the History of Science Museum and the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.  In this role in any given week you might see a dodo, extraordinary thousand-year old Chinese ceramics, insects collected by Darwin, the first scientifically described dinosaur and drawings by John Ruskin, as well as work on projects involving saving the largest flower in the world or supporting world-leading restitution work.

The collections are important and renowned on their own accounts, but also play a key role in the University’s research.  In addition, they are the open doors to the University of Oxford, encouraging a diverse range of communities to engage our academics and curators.

Events Fundraiser

MRF National Events Programme

The MRF National Events Fundraiser is responsible for a significant proportion of our events income with hundreds of runners each year taking on the challenge of participating in iconic races such as TCS London Marathon and A J Bell Great North Run.

Many of our race participants join Team MRF for deeply personal reasons, having had first-hand experience of the disease. Without Team MRF runners we would not be where we are in the race to defeat Meningitis, they are fundamental to our work and have been so since our early days as a charity.

The National Events Fundraiser is an enjoyable role at MRF within a very successful fundraising team, which last year raised over £500,000 by supporting hundreds of runners on Team MRF.

Role Summary

This role is all about working with people, encouraging them as part of Team MRF and supporting them to reach their fundraising goals. You will need to be enthusiastic, outgoing and thrive in motivating people to take action through their fundraising.

You will need to be an advocate for MRF’s work to defeat meningitis, enabling people to achieve their goals and achieving the best for the Charity. It is through the determination of everyone involved with the national events programme that we are able to deliver a number of our goals as a charity. You will harness that passion to help each runner succeed and understand what a difference they make along the way.

With many different elements to the role from planning, marketing, stewardship and event delivery you will need to be flexible and adaptable. This isn’t a fully desk-based job, as at different points of the year you will get the chance to meet Team MRF runners face to face by attending the events themselves and delivering celebratory post-race receptions.

With large teams of runners across a rolling annual events programme you must feel comfortable in managing deadlines, overlapping plans and keeping on top of supporter communications. Whilst we have systems in place to support this, our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys taking responsibility for their own workload.

This a fun role that sees the events through from start to finish and a great opportunity for the right candidate.

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accmmodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork. 
• You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist.

The Role

The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

· Generate regular, positive, proactive media coverage

· Proactively sell stories into the media as well as react to incoming enquiries

· Work with the Head of Media to develop impactful press strategies in line with the wider PR strategy

You will have experience working in public relations. You will have experience of leading successful PR media relations strategies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Are you a great listener?  Do you love to help solve problems?  Can you help people by taking complex, technical information and translating it for people who vulnerable, and people in crisis?

We are working with an amazing mission led organisation to support them in finding a great Help Desk Advisor. The role would see you using those great listening and problem solving skills, and supporting people in crisis, and vulnerable people.

You will be working in a hybrid way, with 2-3 days per week in the London office, working with other advisors so that you can support each other, and increase your learning.  The role also home working for the remainder of the week, enabling great flexibility.

The role will see you managing multiple referrals at any one time.  Your comfort in moving at pace from one conversation to another, whilst ensuring that the information that you provide is correct, and fully understood will be key.  You will also be learning which cases to refer to other areas.  There is great training in place, and the right candidate will be fully supported in getting up to speed in this hugely impactful role.

The ideal candidate will have a clear and reassuring telephone manner, and the ability to communicate complex information in plain English.  We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis so please apply early to avoid disappointment.

This Senior Practice Consultant position will work with our existing Senior Practice Consultant and Practice Operations Manager to steer, guide, and integrate and develop our work to transform the multiagency response to domestic abuse and how children, adults and families are safeguarded focused on the Echo Project development and delivery.

In addition, the role will be supporting the Head and team to establish a framework for disseminating best practice, embedding quality, and learning internally and externally. Enabling statutory and voluntary sectors to work better together to improve the experience and outcomes for children, adults, and families. You will combine comprehensive and innovative practice experience with an entrepreneurial mind-set, focusing on working alongside partners to devise innovative, dynamic, and pragmatic solutions to complex problems.

Location: Bristol/London/Home (with occasional travel across UK)
