Stakeholder Engagement:

• Identify, build and maintain strong relationships with project participants, families, local and health authorities’ representatives, and other key stakeholders.

• Work closely with other teams and services within the Charity to ensure a unified approach to care and support.

Business Development:

About the role

The resettlement team provides advice and support for refugees on resettlement and relocation schemes to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.

The Refugee Council work in partnership with Migration Yorkshire and Local Authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to deliver the regional Resettlement programmes including the UK Resettlement Scheme, Afghan resettlement programmes (ARAP and ACRS), VPRS and VCRS. The resettlement team provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.

The Senior Resettlement Worker will work closely with the management teams in Migration Yorkshire and the relevant Local Authorities. The South Yorkshire Resettlement Team works from the Sheffield office. This role will involve a hybrid of home and office work with outreach in the community. The role involves work across South Yorkshire including Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield and some work in Bassetlaw.

Details of the role
You will play a key role in supporting the management  and scaling of Jangala’s programmes in the UK and internationally. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, you will be part of Jangala’s programmes department, which leads the delivery of our donor-funded work, deploying Jangala’s award-winning technology and developing and nurturing partnerships with grassroots organisations, charities, local authorities, and international agencies.

Supporting Jangala’s community of existing partners who are using Big Box and Get Box technology to connect communities will also be an important part of what you do. The role will also involve building new partnerships, research, coordination and working with data-driven systems, ensuring that our connectivity solutions reach the people and communities who need them most. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting research about and doing outreach to prospective partner organisations

• Onboarding new partner organisations in line with Jangala’s due diligence processes

• Organising and running  check in calls with partners

• Monitoring and replying to queries which come through Jangala enquiry and partner support email accounts, including for routine partner management and troubleshooting

• Inputting administrative data to Jangala’s partner management and monitoring and evaluation platforms

• Information gathering for funder reports and proposals

• General monitoring of equipment usage on the field on our telemetry systems

• Organising events and partner visits

• Writing content for social media and website

• Delegated project management tasks

• Deputising for the Programme Manager when required

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes across a number of prisons. To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator on a bank working basis to work across the west midlands region who is able to travel to cover sites in the wider area too. Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the Central region, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the region including possible overnight stays.

This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed. About the Role

Dreams Come True is seeking an ambitious, strategic and highly skilled Head of Fundraising to lead and expand its income generation and manage and drive a high performing team. This senior role prioritises the development and delivery of an ambitious major donor and individual giving strategy - cultivating, stewarding, and upgrading supporters, including high-net-worth individuals and regular donors. Key Responsibilities

Person Specification

Essential:

• Demonstrated success in major donor fundraising, including personally securing substantial gifts (five and six figures); proven ability to build from scratch, cultivate and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
• Proven expertise in individual giving, including donor journeys, donor retention and engagement, and developing bespoke campaigns.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building, motivating, and developing high-performing fundraising teams.
• Up-to-date understanding of the fundraising compliance environment (Fundraising Regulator's Code, GDPR, PECR).
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset and the ability to use data to inform strategy, track performance, and drive growth.

You will plan and enable intergenerational social activities

Outline Terms and Conditions

1. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure and the taking up of no more than two satisfactory references.

2. Appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.

3. The appointment will be for three years in the first instance (subject to the probationary period noted above),

We are looking to recruit a life skills and activities co-ordinator to concentrate on building and expanding relationships with young people living in our supported accommodation as well as families in Westminster who attend sessions in our Family Services department. This is a unique and rewarding role in our Employment & Learning Team that will involve meeting and working with residents in our supported accommodation on a one-to-one basis and in groups, facilitating activities and evaluating and building evidence that these interventions have made a difference. Your work will focus on supporting our residents (aged 16-25) on-site with their Life Skills development. You will also work holistically to support the families who attend sessions in the Family Centre and who attend outings and “away-days”. The role also requires facilitating our study club (aged 13+) and group ESOL sessions (19+).
