EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO transforms the lives of marginalised girls, in the High Atlas mountains, enabling them to fulfil their potential, reducing social injustice and inequalities, improving the quality of life for women, and their communities.

Prior to the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023 EFA funded six boarding houses, enabling young women to access senior school education. Five boarding houses were destroyed. Astonishingly, no girls or staff were in them at the time.

We are unashamedly ambitious to build on EFAs transformational work over the last two decades. Our Covid Recovery Strategy focussed on widening our impact, and the earthquake has just made us even more determined to deliver on our promise, because we have never been more relevant.

Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, we have funding in place to support a major rebuilding programme. However we don't want to simply rebuild. Due to covid and the earthquake there is a lot of catching up to do.

As Head of Fundraising & Communications you will work with the trustees to deliver the strategic vision, by developing and implementing a  successful fundraising and communications strategy.  A new website is under construction and the successful applicant will play a leading role in determining its fundraising functionality, content, and messaging.

-     A confident understanding of relevant compliance legislation, and financial and budgetary management experience. 

In a typical month you’ll:

-Plan, execute, fundraising events and campaigns, attend conferences, develop compelling social media stories. 

-Undertake research, identify new funding opportunities, write donor proposals, complete donor grant applications.

-Liaise with Moroccan partners, co-ordinate marketing, and fundraising activities.

-Work with donors, developing a range of benefits, events, and engagement opportunities.

-Working with trustees, prepare a monthly update report.

-Manage administrative and compliance tasks including a budget, logging donor communications into the database etc. 

-Evaluate the impact and update policies and procedures.

Position: Head of Fundraising & Communications

Responsible: to Deputy Chair Finance Committee

Location:  remote, withoccasional meetings in London. An annual strategy weekend in Marrakech in November. 

Hours: 35 hrs per week (compressed).

Salary: £40,000 £42,000 per annum.

During Joe’s life he brought a cheeky spirit and constant laughter to all those that met him. His selflessness and commitment to helping others touched so many, and in loving memory and as a legacy to Joe, his friends and family set up Joe's Buddy Line in January 2021.

Global Generation is looking for a Youth Programmes and Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about engaging young people and local communities in reaching their full potential and creating positive social and environmental change. In this role, you will co-lead on the outreach and engagement of local communities, especially with a focus on involving and recruiting young people, as well as planning and facilitation of land-based, cooking and creative workshops. You will particularly focus on working with communities in Islington as we increase our engagement initiatives towards the co-build of our permanent community garden in King’s Cross (which sits on the Islington side), due to start this summer.

Working from educational and biodiverse garden spaces such as the Story Garden and Floating Garden in King’s Cross (with a permanent community garden to be built over the next 2 years in KX) and the Paper Garden in Canada Water, we combine activities such as urban food growing, carpentry, making, cooking, and healthy eating with dialogue, storytelling, creative writing, performance and art, silence and stillness. These practices help us to create the conditions for people to come together in a fuller and more connected sense of who they are and what they are a part of and, from that space, to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change. 

Young people have always been and continue to be at the heart of our work. We aim to support them to develop and lead, offering progression opportunities to move from being participants to being action researchers, co-facilitators and ambassadors, to being paid fellows, staff and trustees.

This role is primarily based at the Story Garden and Floating Garden in King’s Cross (and eventually on the new garden we will be building) and working with our Islington community. You will work closely with the education & community programmes team, gardeners, chefs, volunteers and young people, running hands-on and reflective sessions for people of all ages.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

The two main areas of the role are:

1. Outreach, engagement and recruitment

• Lead on the recruitment and engagement of young people throughout the year, primarily through schools, colleges, community groups, local referral agencies, and local network meetings and events

• Develop a diverse range of engaging outreach / recruitment materials, including social media content for the purposes of showcasing our work and inspiring other young people to join

• Create and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of audiences, including young people, parents, local community groups and businesses

• Inspire young people to participate via assemblies, talks, outreach workshops and follow up phone calls

• Assist young people and their parents through the sign-up process from initial expression of interest to joining our programmes, through being in regular contact in the ways that work best for young people

• Retention of young people through active engagement in person and phone calls and/or texts prior to each session

• Attend local forums, actively participate in networks of local organisations, and build relationships with organisations and local people to engage them in the co-build of the new permanent garden

2. Programme Planning, Coordination and Facilitation

• Work closely with the Youth Programmes team in planning, facilitating and evaluating sessions with young people

• Inspire and support young people to lead on their own socially and environmentally impactful projects in the local area

• Work alongside the wider Global Generation teams (kitchen, garden, natural build) and in partnership with other local organisations and businesses to enhance the opportunities available to young people

• Document and evaluate the youth programmes you are working on using creative means through a wide range of approaches, incorporating quantitative and qualitative data

• Report to funders in a range of formats depending on what is needed

• The programmes you will coordinate and co-facilitate are:

• Friday Night Out: Fortnightly after-school cooking programme (4:00-6:30pm), engaging children (8-12 year olds) in discovering the joys of seed to plate, seasonal and sustainable food, growing, harvesting and cooking their own produce. You will work alongside one of our chefs so do not need to be a chef, though an interest in sustainable food and gardening experience is desirable

• Generator programme: Regular after-school workshops and experiences for young people aged 13+,  incorporating a range of approaches and hands-on and reflective activities to support the holistic development of young people and encourage them to take social and environmental action in their communities

• Partnership with Heatherwick Studio as part of a collaborative Young Inspirers programme, linking local school children with opportunities in their studio

You will also work with the Youth & Community Team to plan and deliver community / intergenerational events and experiences that bring people of different ages together.

What we are looking for

As the Youth Programmes and Outreach Coordinator, you will be outgoing and love working and reaching out to people across backgrounds and sectors; you will be ready to take initiative, have a flexible attitude, be able to think on your feet and enjoy finding solutions when faced with challenges and change.  You will be able to communicate your passion for Global Generation’s work, the natural environment and social justice to others, particularly young people, in a creative and engaging way, responding to where people are at, and adapting your approach based on this. You will have prior experience of working with schools and finding ways to make the offer relevant to the priorities and needs of young people.

You will readily pick up the phone, follow up on emails sent, visit other organisations and schools, and offer activities in spaces where people are at.  You will love to work deeply with young people over a long period of time, finding out what engages them, building on their interests and finding ways wherever possible for them to grow, progress and lead within Global Generation and beyond.

You will have experience of actively seeking out partnerships to make our offer even more compelling, beneficial and holistic for the young people.  You will have strong project management and coordination skills, as well as planning and facilitating year long programmes, building in different ways of knowing and creative approaches so as to reach a cross-section of young people, adapting to different abilities and needs. 

Ideally you will have experience and a love of urban gardening and/or food growing and engaging people in getting their hands in the soil. You will also have an interest in action research and/or participatory approaches to learning, acting and reflecting.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Research & Stewardship Executive to join The London Clinic on a hybrid working model.

Job Profile

Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.

You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income and community outreach targets. You will support the development of stewardship documents for donors, with related statistics and outcomes information and stories. We are looking for an experienced Head of Communications to lead on all of our external communications in the UK. You will have overall responsibility for brand, content, digital and social media, media/PR and celebrities, leading a team of 9 in a Fundraising and Communications Directorate of 35. The Communications team has grown considerably in recent years, with investment in digital mobilisation, content, brand and celebrity management now paying off. The Role: 

As the Partnerships Officer, you will support the Partnerships Team on business development, managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors, as well as researching new opportunities. 

Our places and volunteers are crucial to us. They know their communities best. This role will support our local Delivery teams to build new partnerships and grow our places. The role will also platform the voices of our volunteers to lead the development of our services.  This post will play a key role in the Partnerships Team. 

Your core responsibilities will consist of supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation in growing Volunteering Matters and its family of brands. Managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors; supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation with relationship management of major donors as well as developing and researching opportunities for business development with regional partners and stakeholders. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Support the Partnerships team and wider organisation to grow Volunteering Matters locally. 
• Manage a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors, including leading on small trust applications & reports.
• Support the Partnerships Team with the management of major trusts, foundations, and donors.
• Play a key role in the upkeep of our library of information. 
• Stay updated on local opportunities and feed into place-based plan. 
• Develop and research opportunities for business development with partners and stakeholders including scoping opportunities and attending market engagement events. 
• Play a key role in the Partnerships Team, helping to collaborate with the wider directorate and organisation to create locally informed and systematic approaches to income generation. 
• Maintaining and actioning enquiries/information into team inbox 
• Support colleagues who are leading with events management for donor/patron & community fundraising events. 
• Supporting the Partnerships team and wider organisation to coordinate information required for reports to funders/partners. 
• Maintain database (Raisers Edge) with key reporting information. 

Experience / skills & attributes: 

• A commitment to the values and mission of Volunteering Matters, especially platforming the voices of our volunteers and young people, as determinant to our work alongside and for communities. 
• A pragmatism in understanding and working with the communities served by Volunteering Matters projects, and their respective local and third sector services. 
• An ability to support influencing of local and national stakeholders, by utilising the power of storytelling and advocating for the importance of local voice, when lobbying for social change. 
• Demonstrable awareness of the Third Sector and where relevant devolved responsibilities across the UK.
• Demonstrable experience in using the power of storytelling within the context of stakeholder engagement and / or business development. 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with a range of stakeholders through a variety of means. 
• A capability to manage and engage relationships, including project reporting. 
• Evidence of good administrative and IT skills and the ability to maintain a fundraising CRM, administrative and financial records. 
• Belief in the Power of Communities with a desire to platform people and volunteers always. 
• Ability to engage in the process of business development, which includes bid writing, building operational partnerships and reporting on projects.

We are looking for an Internal Communications Executive to join us on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. The role supports the Internal Communications Lead in creating and delivering internal communication and engagement activity for all Teenage Cancer Trust colleagues.
 

The main focus of the role will be to:

• Manage the day-to-day running of our internal communications channels, under guidance from the Internal Communications Lead.
• Maintain, deliver and evolve regular channels of communication including e-newsletters and intranets to all colleagues.
• Partner closely with our Services colleagues, and act as a point of contact for all other departments, to communicate with, about and to our staff in specialist Teenage Cancer Trust units based in NHS hospitals across the UK.
• Support (and on occasion deputise for) the Internal Communications Lead with virtual events, such as all-staff calls and our in-person away days.
• Collaborate with HR, Fundraising and wider Marcomms teams to promote and raise awareness of relevant projects, campaigns and activity related to our people, our purpose and our brand.
• Advise and guide colleagues on internal communication opportunities and best practice.
• Support wider internal communications, culture and engagement campaigns to colleagues working for the charity and within the NHS.
• Take an active role in supporting and promoting culture, wellbeing and equity, diversity and inclusion activity at Teenage Cancer Trust. 

We are looking for someone who is:
