About the role

This role will continue to develop and deliver Allergy UK’s youth engagement initiative for our existing Youth Engagement Group for young adults living with allergies aged 18-25. 

This role will also need to recruit members to a new Youth Engagement Group for young people living with allergies aged 13-17.

Owing to the nature of this role, the successful candidate, will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

We are excited to create and deliver projects focused on engaging young people who live with allergy and providing opportunities for them to have a voice and support them in raising awareness of the issues that affect their life. We are seeking young people’s participation and co-production in all activities we develop to support their needs. The role of Youth Engagement Officer will be to engage with young people across the UK, to ensure that they have the opportunities and support to shape and influence Allergy UK’s programmes and activities for young people living with allergy.

The successful individual will work to develop youth engagement opportunities which increase skills, confidence, and life chances through supporting young people living with this disease to overcome any barriers they face.

 As a Youth Engagement Officer, you will have experience of working positively with young people and have a proactive nature. Organisation skills and initiative is a must as you will be the lead on our youth provision.You will be required to coordinate activities with young people such as online and in-person engagement, blogs, podcasts, learning and digital activities. In addition to this, you will need to effectively lead the young people to help them shape services for young people in the allergic community to better improve the standard of care that exists in the public, private and commercial sectors.

These activities will be centred on practice of co-production. We are looking for someone who wants to work as part of a team to engage young people, to highlight unheard voices and stories and promote progress and change through action.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, project manage and deliver exciting new co-production projects and establish positive links with young people and promote active participation in activities.
• Provide opportunities for young people to have a voice and support them in getting involved in Allergy UK’s awareness and public affairs to influence governmental change and improve services for young people with allergy.
• Create, develop and lead on the work of the Allergy UK Youth Forum.
• Support and develop young people to become champions and ambassadors for Allergy UK.
• Work collaboratively with a range of organisations including but not exclusively schools, local government, health and youth services and youth organisations.
• Develop training and development resources for young people 
• Complete all required documentation accurately and within agreed timescales to ensure that contract requirements are met 
• Work alongside the Operations Director and other staff advising them of relevant issues facing children and young people.
• Develop Allergy UK’s youth engagement procedures and practice.
• Develop opportunities to engage young people in volunteering for Allergy UK
• Responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others who you interact with and undertake appropriate health and safety reviews, risk assessments in relation to activities.

• Awareness of the challenges young people face in healthcare and/or navigating chronic conditions.

The Quality Mark Programme Lead will play a key role in shaping and supporting the strategic direction of our work with community and faith-led night shelters across England. Using insights from data and frontline experience to inform and strengthen the organisation’s wider work with night shelters, funders, stakeholder and partners.

The Quality Mark Programme Lead will be at the forefront of delivering and developing Housing Justice’s Quality Assessment Framework, a set of standards for non-commissioned emergency accommodation across England. This role is central to supporting shelters to meet and maintain high standards in safety, dignity, and service delivery for people experiencing homelessness. The postholder will lead the operational delivery of the Quality Mark, provide guidance and leadership to a small team, and engage with stakeholders to ensure the framework continues to reflect emerging best practice.

As Community Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering positive change through the PlayZones Programme, helping to increase physical activity among priority groups: individuals from low socio-economic backgrounds, women and girls, disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, and culturally diverse communities. 

You’ll manage a portfolio of PlayZones projects, working closely with our Delivery Managers to ensure each project is shaped by meaningful community input, and leading the development and implementation of community engagement plans.

What can we offer you? 

The salary band for this role is £32,000-34,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience. 

You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. About the role

We are looking for a Survivor Engagement Officer to join our team and help strengthen the meaningful involvement of victim-survivors in all aspects of SEA’s work. 

A core part of this role is building and sustaining trusted relationships with by-and-for and community-led organisations to support outreach, engagement, and the inclusive recruitment of survivors from Black and minoritised communities and other marginalised groups. We are particularly keen to receive applications from Black and minoritised women, and/or applicants with strong experience working with these communities.

You will also support the coordination and facilitation of SEA’s Experts by Experience Group (EEG), moderate our online Survivor Forum, and contribute to delivering our Survivor Engagement Strategy. You will help ensure that survivor voices - especially those from underrepresented communities - shape our services, policy and communications work. 

You would be joining SEA at an exciting time, as we strengthen our approaches to inclusive survivor engagement and implement a new strategy to widen participation and reach.

About you

You will be a skilled relationship-builder with strong experience of working with Black and minoritised communities and/or community-led organisations.

You will have excellent communication and facilitation skills, and experience supporting or engaging survivors and/or marginalised groups in a trauma-informed and inclusive way. 

You will bring a strong understanding of anti-discriminatory and survivor-centred practice, and a commitment to widening participation in systems change work. 

Experience supporting collaborative engagement projects or survivor groups would be desirable, as would experience moderating online spaces or forums.

Summary of the role:

The Supporter Relations Engagement Team is involved in the planning and development of programmes and projects that puts supporter engagement at the heart of everything do we do. They play a pivotal role in making Muslim Aid more data and insight driven in the way we fundraise and communicate with supporters. The team’s aim is to increase the depth and value of supporter relationships whilst also encouraging repeat giving and overall supporter retention through targeted engagement strategies.

Working within the Supporter Relations Engagement Team, you will develop a supporter centric approach to planning effective multi-channel, multi-product supporter journeys to grow loyalty, engagement, and income.  We are looking for someone with an audience and data insight driven approach to identify moments that matter and key touch points to improve the supporter experience. By doing this, you will ensure that each touchpoint across the supporter experience is engaging, effective and reflects Muslim Aids brand and values.

As a confident communicator you will help develop a culture based on understanding and interpreting supporter behaviours and motivations. Using this information, you will lead on mapping journeys and engagements across communications, campaigns and the fundraising portfolio to maximise a supporter’s lifetime value.

About the Role:

1. Create new innovative supporter journeys to increase engagement, loyalty and improve income generation.
2. Deliver improved supporter journeys and care strategies using insights, evidence and feedback.
3. Deliver exemplary Supporter care and stewardship that builds loyal and committed supporters through high quality personalised engagement. 
4. Collaborate with the Data Analysis team to manage supporter preferences ensuring best practice regarding data protection, data collection and to maximise cross sell opportunity.
5. Incorporate supporter care best practice and emerging approaches into activities so that the organisation remains positioned to effectively engage/manage donors.
6. Provide general administrative assistance in support of the smooth running of the Supporter Relations Department.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Significant supporter/customer care skills obtained from the commercial or charity sectors.
2. Proven engagement developing internal relationships across a complex organisation – working with internal clients to develop and adapt briefs to improve supporter engagement.
3. Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
4. Experience of developing innovative and creative engagement programs for supporters/donors.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
6. Good organisation, coordination and project management skills.
