What will you be doing?

- Proactively contact new supporters via telephone to welcome them to events and start a process of engagement
- Ensure there is an effective communication processes in place for all supporter engagement team members to enable a first class supporter experience
- Assess supporter requirements and needs to establish an individual future contact plan
- Establish excellent 1-2-1 relationships with highly engaged supporters
- Provide excellent customer service via telephone, email and print to enhance supporter experience and drive increased fundraising value
- Ensure each contact with supporter is used as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship, enhance the experience and improve fundraising.

Without our supporters, CRUK wouldn't be able to fund our life-saving research. In this role you will be responsible for establishing yourself as the primary point of contact with participants across our events portfolio. This'll include participants from CRUK organised events such as Shine - CRUK's night time marathon walk & the Race for Life but also from events in the commercial third party sector including the Virgin Money London Marathon, the Simplyhealth Great North Run & the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon. You'll be on hand to help our supporters prepare for their challenge, keep them motivated throughout their journey with us & ensure they enjoy their event and get the most out of the experience whilst of course raising as much money as possible for our life-saving research.

Senior Fundraising Executive
Location: Based at our office in Aylesbury
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover contract for 9 months (with possibility of extension)
Part-time role: 21 hours per week
Salary FTE circa £28,000 pro-rata (pro-rata for 21 hours)
Lymphoma Action is the UK’s only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the UK’s fifth most common cancer. We’ve been providing in-depth, expert information and wide-ranging support for over 30 years, helping thousands of people affected by lymphoma.
Our dynamic Fundraising team is dedicated to raising funds. We are looking for someone with the same passion and drive to join us and provide maternity cover, focusing predominantly on individual giving and stewardship but also with some responsibilities in other areas of general fundraising.
You will run several one-off campaigns and appeals and work with the rest of the team to help us grow income. You will also be responsible for our regular givers, payroll givers and one-off donations.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is:
- Creative with at least three years’ relevant experience, ready to jump straight in and start work to meet targets and grow our supporter database through great stewardship and supporter journey work.
- An exceptional communicator with great verbal and written skills who can persuade people to support our charity.
- Able to develop and grow relationships with supporters and understands the value of good stewardship and supporter care.
- Highly organised and able to juggle a number of priorities and tasks.
