We have a great opportunity for a National Community Fundraising Manager working for a leading specialist health charity that provides expert clinical support to families facing a complex and life-changing condition. Reporting to the Head of Community Fundraising, this is an exciting opportunity to shape and scale a national community programme at a pivotal time of growth.

As part of this exciting role, you will lead and develop a high-performing national community fundraising team, driving income from mid-value and mass supporters. You will design and deliver insight-led acquisition and stewardship strategies, develop engaging supporter journeys, and expand an impactful volunteer ambassador programme. With responsibility for planning, budgeting, and performance, you will use data and market insight to identify opportunities for growth, improve processes, and deliver innovative campaigns that deepen supporter engagement and maximise income.

To be successful as the National Community Fundraising Manager you will need:

• A proven track record in delivering income across community fundraising streams
• Experience of managing and developing teams, with the ability to inspire high performance
• Strong experience of relationship fundraising, supporter journeys, and using data to drive income growth

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is delighted to partner with a leading charity in recruiting a highly motivated Community Fundraising Manager. This pivotal role involves developing and overseeing community fundraising initiatives, managing diverse teams, and collaborating on marketing strategies to strengthen supporter engagement.

The successful candidate will lead community fundraising efforts, manage a regional team, and work closely with marketing and stewardship initiatives. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape community engagement and support crucial health causes within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a regional team, including line management of four direct reports, volunteers, and support staff.
• Develop and execute community fundraising strategies, including relaunching the volunteer programme.
• Collaborate with marketing teams, particularly in understanding and reviewing Meta advertising campaigns and supporter engagement efforts.
• Oversee stewardship activities, ensuring effective recognition and support for supporters across varied donation levels.
• Build and maintain local partnerships and community relationships to enhance fundraising outcomes.
• Support the delivery of innovative fundraising products, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and wedding initiatives.
• Ensure all outreach activities align with organisational goals and compliance standards.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience managing a community fundraising team or programme.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, specifically in working with Meta advertising and PPC campaigns.
• Familiarity with volunteer management or volunteer programme development.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing a diverse team and engaging with external stakeholders.
• Experience in stewardship strategies to maintain supporter loyalty and maximise income.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple projects and oversee automated supporter engagement journeys.
• Adaptability to work in a hybrid environment with a flexible approach to on-site requirements.

The impact you will have
As the Events and Community Fundraising Manager you will lead the delivery of events and community activity that engages people to raise vital funds for Missing People. Missing People relies on support from individual members of the public who take on an event or activity to raise awareness and vital funds for missing people and the charity. This role will lead the development, delivery and growth of this income area through engagement and stewardship of these valued supporters. This includes developing a balanced portfolio of events and community activity and working directly with the community of people with experience of the issue of missing.
 
You will use your experience and enthusiasm to inspire individuals and groups to support the charity. You will drive our events portfolio forwards, using your rapport skills to quickly establish relationships with providers, internal teams and supporters, and your agile, ambitious approach will allow us to grab hold of the best possible opportunities.
 
You will lead a team to deliver an exciting Events and Community offering – an inspiring programme throughout the year including ‘Light The Way’ and other challenges which you can read about on our Events page, as well as our Community fundraising efforts – such as engaging volunteers to hold collections at G4 concerts throughout December.
 
About You
You will need to have:

• Significant experience in a challenge events fundraising role, successfully delivering against income targets within agreed deadlines;
• Experience of developing and monitoring the implementation of fundraising strategies, budgets and operational plans;
• Proven experience of growing an engaged supporter or customer base;
• Experience of line management or managing the activities of staff or volunteers;
• Good knowledge of community and events products used by charities to engage supporters and raise funds;
• Legal right to work in the UK.
