Job description

Award winning charity, Together Against Cancer, are looking to recruit a talented Community Fundraiser.

Following their overwhelming success and growth an exciting new role, reporting to the Operations Manager, has been created which will help propel the charity to the next level.

Together Against Cancer (TAC) is an international charity, with its UK base in Leicester. The charity provides support and assistance to people with cancer and their families. They do this through complementary therapies, counselling, public awareness, online support, support groups, wellness workshops and grants.

We’re committed to helping those fighting and recovering from ill-ness. Our mission is ultimately to equip as many people as possible with the power to take control of their own health.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in excelling in community and events fundraising activities.

  • You will contribute strongly to the overall fundraising strategy.
  • You will be dynamic and inventive, as budgets are low.
  • You will be an effective networker with exceptional relationship building skills.
  • You must possess a high standard of numeracy and literacy as all preparation and supporting material will be created by yourself.
  • You will be the Charitys main contact for community fundraising.
  • Actively seek out new opportunities to cultivate new potential donors and fundraising opportunities.
  • Increase income streams by developing and maintaining relationships with community supporters including existing individuals, fundraising committees, schools and community groups.
  • You will be able to manage your own diary cost effectively, demonstrate excellent organizational and project management skills.

An interest in holistic health would be an advantage. This is a full-time permanent role, 5 days per week (37 hrs), this role may involve some evenings and weekend work. You will also need to own your own vehicle.

TAC has a small friendly team who work together to get the job done.  Staff benefits include 28 days holiday (including statutory), free on-site parking, hybrid working and contributory pension scheme.
