Background
The Mix Stowmarket Ltd. is an established youth charity working with young people across Mid Suffolk. Through mentoring, youth work, education programmes and social enterprise, we support young people young people aged 9–25 across Mid Suffolk. The Mix has a committed team, a flagship youth centre, and a trading arm, 127 Trading Ltd, which operates two cafés. We are rooted in community impact and innovation.

We have recently appointed our new CEO, who takes up post in October 2025. We now seek an experienced Head of Finance and Data to support the senior team as they lead The Mix into its next chapter, with prime responsibility to provide sound and rigorous financial and data leadership across The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd.
Overview of the role
As the organisation’s Head of Finance and Data, you will be an experienced, and trusted professional, who can bring strong financial and data disciplines to the organisation.
Working closely with our new CEO and committed trustees and staff, you will develop and implement The Mix’s financial and data strategies that are aligned to our vision to expand the reach of our crucial support of young people in Suffolk.
You will have a thorough understanding of financial accounting and planning relevant to the charity and social-enterprise sectors, with a strong attention to detail.
You will be passionate about the use of financial and non-financial data to inform business decisions and be an effective analyst and communicator of business performance.
You may come from the youth, charity, health, education, or social enterprise sectors — but above all we welcome candidates who can bring the vision, leadership and heart to shape the future of fundraising and marketing at The Mix.
Main Responsibilities
1. Financial leadership
· Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and practices.
· Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
· Lead the Finance sub-committee
· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and relevant analysis of performance, at a project, site, and business level.
· Manage financial risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
· Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and the board.
· Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
2. Data Strategy and Management
· Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy.
· Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
· Drive data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
· Chair the Data, Impact and Evidence Action Group.
· Oversee data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
· Collaborate with other departments on data-related initiatives.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
· Communicate financial and data insights to senior management, the CEO, the Board, and stakeholders.
· Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Function as a point of contact for audit and regulatory inquiries.
4. Team leadership and development
· Lead and mentor the finance and data team.

How are staff supported to work remotely?

About the Role
The Referrals Practitioner supports all aspects of our referral process – from handling enquiries and assessing applications to ensuring smooth, safe, and supportive arrivals for new residents. Working alongside the Referrals Coordinator, you will:
- Respond to referrals and enquiries with professionalism and compassion
- Carry out assessments in line with Nehemiah’s admissions procedures
- Build relationships with referral agencies, prisons, and community partners
- Provide feedback to applicants and agencies on referral outcomes
- Arrange and support resident arrivals, including prison gate pickups where required
- Help ensure our houses remain safe, positive recovery environments
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and monitoring
This is a varied role where no two days are the same – you might be assessing an application one morning, presenting to a prison referral team in the afternoon, and welcoming a new resident from the community the next day.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in working with vulnerable adults in recovery, the criminal justice system, or related fields (paid, voluntary, or lived)
- Skilled in communication, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents, partners, and colleagues

- Able to demonstrate resilience and empathy in challenging situations

• undertake research and identify trusts and foundations whose priorities align with our work, in line with organisational priorities
• work closely with the General Manager and Director of Education to research, prepare and submit high quality, compelling applications, ranging from 4-6 figures and including multi-year proposals
• record applications made, track outcomes and provide reports for finance and management
• prepare timely updates and reports to funders that communicate the impact of their support and maximise the opportunity for ongoing or future support, working with colleagues to ensure feedback, case studies, data and financial information is available as required

Jigsaw4u’s Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have recognised the need for dedicated staffing resource to hold the day-to-day responsibility for the service management function as part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
As a member of our SLT, you will help to deliver and shape and the organisation’s vision and strategy. It will be your responsibility to ensure that Jigsaw4u’s services achieve their goals, meet their strategic objectives and achieve our growth targets while being delivered to Jigsaw4u’s exceptionally high standards.
Under the direction of the CEO, the postholder’s areas of responsibility will be to:
- Line Manage the Service Managers, ensuring that their teams are high performing, reporting and data collection is of a high standard and relationships with funders and other stakeholders are outstanding.
- Ensure that the structure of all Jigsaw4u services are optimised to allow for growth and support staff and volunteers (including trainee counsellors/therapists) to develop key skills.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of best practice within the charitable sector (and other sectors where relevant), to inform and update Jigsaw4u so that we take advantage of the latest approaches to change, innovation and development which can have a positive impact on our beneficiaries lives.
- Work proactively and collaboratively to identify innovation and business improvement within the SLT to define and agree Target Operating Models and oversee implementation and ongoing review. Use insight, evaluation and analysis to continually inform and refine practice.
- Play a full part in the development of the SLT and deputise for the CEO as required. Work closely with the Service Management Team to develop and deliver an outstanding approach to people management, building a learning culture that delivers high quality, extensive support enabling people to achieve their best as a team.
- Represent Jigsaw4u at formal meetings with funders and other stakeholders and through submission of reports and data requests. Establish new, and strengthen existing, external relationships to promote Jigsaw4u’s profile, influence and reputation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, and adherence to relevant professional codes and standards of good practice.
- Support the CEO in funding and tender applications
- Support the CEO and fundraising team in generating income
As a member of the SLT you will be expected, with training and support, to take an active part in supporting the whole organisation. Experience and aptitude to provide calm leadership and a supportive problem-solving approach to practical problems and judgements involving risk is necessary.

About the role
An exciting opportunity for a registered adults nurse with a minimum of two years clinical experience who has a strong desire to deliver excellent standards of Palliative and end of life care in a hospice setting. The successful candidate will work on our specialist 10-bedded inpatient until within Saint Michaels Hospice. You will work alongside our experienced MDT specialist practitioners to deliver excellent standards of care to our inpatients. We offer a robust induction period with clinical competencies attached, and you will also benefit from regular training and education on our in-house study days to support your clinical knowledge and development.

·Planning and delivering patient-centred care, working closely with patients and their families.
·Acting as the ‘shift’ coordinator, overseeing high-quality team nursing care and coordinating wider team care that puts patients at the heart of what we do.
·Acting as the key worker for a designated caseload, showing nursing leadership by providing care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main Purpose of the Role
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime. Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. Currently, our services are active in London and Manchester.
As the post holder you will be responsible for delivering our front-line work to young people, parents and other adults (professionals). You will work in schools and in community settings across London to generate impact for young people using Khulisa’s trauma-informed approach. This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
The post holder will be required to work from home permanently but be willing and able to easily travel regularly to various locations in London as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role, to deliver aspects of the programme, and to engage with other stakeholders and colleagues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Programme Delivery:
· Facilitate the delivery of sessions in our flagship Face It programme and modular workshops to young people, our Nurturing Connections programme for parents and carers, and our trauma training for professionals.
· Facilitate delivery to a high standard in all settings (schools, youth services, and community spaces), ensuring that you are always taking a trauma informed approach.
· Facilitate various youth participation workshops, co-delivering with young people as much as practicable.
· Respond to any questions, disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised during sessions and follow up where necessary with the relevant safeguarding teams or, where consent is secured, make onward referrals for additional support in specific cases.
· Contribute to the continuous development of all aspects of the programmes, sharing new ideas and using best practice.
· Participate in the periodic review and updating of programme contents and/or development of new materials with relevant colleagues, ensuring that materials used across the team are always uniform and consistent.
· Maintain accurate records of programme activities, including record of input, output, and impact as well as demographics data, and support relevant colleagues in ensuring effective monitoring and periodic evaluation and reporting of impact generated.
· Manage relevant budgets and ensure a value for money approach to all expenditure, making sure to keep within budget.
Programme Coordination:
· Take direct responsibility for logistics of individual programme delivery or activity, including scheduling, resourcing, staffing, and liaising with schools and other partners to ensure effective delivery.
· Work with colleagues in Impact and Evidence team to provide programme data as required to effectively demonstrate impact generated through your delivery.
· Where possible during delivery, generate multi-media content for the use of colleagues in communications to use in updating the Khulisa website and for social media.
Stakeholder Management:
· Support the Programmes & Participation Manager in the building and maintenance of strong relationships with delivery partners - schools, community organisations, and other important stakeholders.
· Contribute to any work to use learning from delivery activities to redesign existing programmes and/or develop new pieces of work as required.
· If required, represent Khulisa at events, meetings, and conferences as required etc.
· Support the onboarding and training of Associate Facilitators and volunteers as necessary.
· When required, support the onboarding and training of other permanent programme staff.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
· Objectively review the successes and achievements of each delivery session facilitated against programme or activity objectives, identifying and implementing opportunities for making ongoing improvements.
· To actively deliver all elements of the Khulisa programme, including work with adults and Khulisa’s Young Influencers.
· Depending on experience and qualifications, to be receptive to any other duties as required by the line manager and in line with the needs of Khulisa.
· To develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other professionals, and to participate in team meetings.
· To participate in personal supervision in accordance with Khulisa’s supervision and performance appraisal policy and attend agreed training as relevant.
